When Girona were topping the top of Laliga, u was over impressed With their performance and I had to check if they signed new players maybe it was the reasons for their improvement and I was even surprised that they didn't bought any player last season, it was just improvement from the team and that consistency gave them a shout up this season but they fall off since they met with Real Madrid and hasn't been like before, something must be really wrong with them to be failing to win some teams they have won in the round 1 of the matches played.


Maybe you mean to say they will bring in new players by end of the season. If the current squad that has brought the team to this spot left is the new players going to understand each other firmly and achieve a better result in the Champions League. I think there will be more addition of players this season and then renew some old players by 1 or 2 years extension and the future will depend on what they play for the next season.

What is more threatened is not Girona but Atletico Madrid, because Atletico Madrid is only 2 points ahead of Atletico Bilbao who are directly below them. Atletico Madrid have to be very careful because once they lose, it is very likely that Atletico Bilbao will be able to catch up and move them to 4th position, while Girona is currently still quite safe even though they also have to do their best in every match.

Now the competition is being shown between Atletico Bilbao and Atletico Madrid, they cannot relax and have to focus in every game. Point by point is very valuable for them to ensure they can be in the best position in the standings and can advance to the Champions League next season.

Currently I still see Ateltico Madrid and Girona accompanying Real Madrid and Barcelona to the Champions League next season. However, this is not certain and maybe we need to see until the end of the competition to see which of them can be in the top 4 positions.

Barcelona must take the right steps immediately considering that Pedri is an official product of the La Masia academy and we know that Barcelona is always enthusiastic about having talented young players in its main squad. Pedri has been playing for Barcelona for quite a long time and I don't think he will want to leave Barcelona to join another team. Barcelona has become his home and maybe he also wants to become a club legend throughout his career.

The injury suffered by Pedri is very worrying and if it is not handled properly, he will often relapse and could be sidelined for quite a long time. It's a shame that at his age, he is said to be in his prime, but his greatness has to be delayed due to injury problems. We can only hope that Barcelona can extend his contract and also hope that Pedri doesn't get injured again.

Each team has played 30 matches so far and each team has only few matches left. With only a few matches remaining, it is certain that Real Madrid is going to win the La Liga title this season. Real Madrid is in the number one position of the points table and Barcelona is in the number two position of the points table with 8 points less than Real Madrid, in that case Barcelona has no chance to go to number one of the points table. Girona, which is number three in the points table, has a considerable point gap with Barcelona, so these three teams may finish the season in second and third positions. Atlético Madrid have not done well this season and they may have to finish the season at number four or number five in the points table.

I really believe Real Madrid will not be loosing games at this point where they are just eight matches to be crowned the champions of the la Liga this season, the worse they can get at this point would be a draw and that wouldn't even be most occuring than the wins will be as this is enough boost for their mind not to give up the target to win the league title as they are very close to winning it than almost ever.

Barcelona would just try to maintain their second position on the table so they will be sure of their champions league spot for next season but they are most definitely going to make sure not to have so much losses but more of wins so they can maintain their point difference away from the team at the third position as their point difference isn't as much as that between Real Madrid at the top and Barcelona at the second position on the table. Real Madrid is trying to make possibilities in winning the laliga and also the champions league this season .

They will be sure if they can dare the champions league after they must have been able to win Manchester city in their next meeting and get to knock them out of the champions league as that's the only way for them to further increase their chances at the champions league because away from Manchester city i doubt if other teams would really be a problem to them if they happen to meet at the semifinals or finals.

Girona's success in this season is massive and everyone is impressed but whether they will be able to maintain it in a next season and more seasons in future will be important for their club.

Will they become another Sevilla in La Liga, rising from a small club to a big one and most successful representatives of La Liga in Europe?

Girona can aim at that big target but it will need many years and with their limited finance, they will have to avoid breaking their club's salary ceiling for star players. They need to continue to find young and unknown players, grow these players up and gain more success from them. If Girona falls to a trap of lifting their salary ceiling, their finance will be unsustainable and will have risk of bankruptcy in future.

Girona's rise in the La Liga is really difficult not to notice. They were able to finish the last season in 10th place but now they have made a huge progress.    They don't have a very impressive squad compared to the biggest teams of the league now actually but the team effort is amazing. Besides despite not having one of the best squads they have some good talents in the squad.

Probably Girona will lose some important players in the summer and this would be really bad for them if they qualify for the Champions League. But I guess they would make some decent transfers for the Champions League too.

Who would have thought that Girona would have more chances to play in the Champions League this season than any other team behind the 3rd place ranking? (Many members here were doubting my predictions in the early matches of this season) well, It wasn’t an easy mission for them to keep up with the leaders having a humble team and coach as nobody was expecting the scenario for them, especially considering they held the 1st place in standings for quite some time before Real Madrid shifted things. Now, with only 8 matches remaining in LaLiga, I don't anticipate many changes or surprises in the standings.
I'm counting on Real Madrid to win the title this season. Barcelona wasted their chances with a shaky performance early on the season, however, they have made a strong comeback and have even reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Moreover, I have noticed the performance of Spanish teams elsewhere this season hasn't been as impressive as their dominance in other leagues in previous seasons, did anyone notice that too?

El Classico will not determine who will be the champion this season, because we have already seen the club that have the higher chance of winning the league. It is not just any club but the best in Spain which is Real Madrid, so there should be no need for anyone to think that Real Madrid would drop points to the extend that Barcelona will become the winner of this season. This is not possible even in dream land.

Real Madrid will win Barcelona the second time if the clash again in El Classico, and I am very sure of that. Or are you now saying that Barcelona is currently in form than Real Madrid for you to feel that Real Madrid would drop points, and Barcelona will keep on winning the rest of their matches. Real Madrid have being topping the league for a very long time now, and Ancelotti is not dump for making it so.

No doubt, Barcelona started poorly. Made us doubt them. But this comeback? Champions have that spirit. No doubt, they're finding their groove. Overtaking Madrid? No knock on Barca, but its a tall order. Madrid is that strong. This El Clasico? HUGE for Barcelona. Not just in the rankings, but to prove they're back and put Girona on edge. I think Barcelona is better than Girona right now, despite Girona's La Liga concentration.

This Girona situation is risky. With Barcelona juggling the Champions League, putting all their eggs in one basket could pay well. Barcelona thrives under duress. Girona is inconsistent. One mistake will put them against Atletico Madrid. Staying focused is important to them. Between us, they have a steep path to qualify for Champions League.

Be it Real Madrid or Barcelona they can lose points if they are not consistent in the remaining games this season. But I think Real Madrid will be very focused on looking for victory in the remainder of this season because they don't want to waste the opportunity to become champions this season. I checked the opponents that Real Madrid will face in the remainder of this season, where their opponents are strong teams and they will also meet Barcelona. So the upcoming El Clasico match will show who will be champions this season because if Real Madrid beat Barcelona again then Barcelona will no longer have any hope of becoming champions.

Indeed, an 8 point lead is quite safe for Real Madrid because that is quite a large point difference. Barcelona only hopes that Real Madrid will lose points in the remaining matches this season and maybe that will be quite impossible to happen. Ancelotti will definitely put pressure on his team to play better in the remainder of this season because their target of becoming champions is getting closer because there are only 8 games left this season.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are always competing and are always in a high ranking and don't forget that Atletico Madrid is also always ranked not far from Barcelona and Madrid. Yes, this season Girona is always there to compete with Barcelona and Madrid, even as I remember, Girona once sat at the top of the standings. but now Madrid has succeeded in making Girona drop their position and Barcelona has now succeeded in shifting Girona's position.

but until now Girona is still compete to continue adding points and still wants to bring down Barcelona. and I agree with your opinion that Barcelona must still fight to maintain its current position.

So in essence, Xavi's troops are not yet safe in being in the runner up position because the point difference is small with Girona and Girona will continue to have adding points. Next, Girona will compete against Atletico Madrid and if Girona wins against Atletico Madrid then Barcelona's position will drop.

However, I personally believe that Barcelona will have the potential to be runners up until the end of the season and I am sure that Xavi will be able to make a good strategy to make Barcelona continue to win.

If this were to happen, at least Real Madrid would have to experience slipping in 4 of the remaining 8 matches. unfortunately, this will be difficult to achieve considering that Real Madrid is appearing with a positive trend, winning 8 points with 8 matches remaining. even though there is a possibility that this might happen, the hope is very slim. while Barcelona has many core players injured, and their performance is unstable. ideally, Barcelona can finish below Real Madrid. Apart from that, the two teams still have one meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu in Week 32. playing at Madrid headquarters, it will be difficult for Barca to win the match. but in any case, the El Clasico match will always be eagerly awaited by fans of both teams. However, I am sure that Barcelona's position will not be overtaken by Girona, apart from their unstable performance.

This season is one season Barcelona fans wants to forget in a hurry as this season have been one of their down seasons coupled with the financial issues of the club.  Club’s finances is always a big worry especially as it’s not going to help the club be able to get the proper signings they need. This is one challenge the club has faced this season and as such have had to manage with the injured players and the available players.

 Managing with both sets of players seems to be real tough and this can be troublesome especially for the coach. And i feel because of the trouble and all Xavi decided to depart the club at the end of the season. The win against Mallorca was a boost for them especially as they head into the UCL game against Napoli. You can see how they’ve managed to fight all hard with their injury crisis.

 The best thing for Barcelona was just endurance whilst finding quick means out of the situation so they'd be back to acquiring the best guys in the game. Well in as much as they were battled with that magnitude of setback as a team, the Spanish side still strived towards gaining good game results which also fueled their progress and performances in competitions to come.

 I won't say they did extremely well so far in the endeavors this season as definitely they had times of good news and good results and also times where they fell short of victory which was a negative effect to their journey so far this season. There's still a a few weeks left to the end of the season, but sadly I doubt that they can still make a wholesome difference, as Real Madrid and Girona would definitely give them a difficult time, they can also work towards staying in good shape for the UCL tournament games too and we'd see how good, well and far they'd go as weeks go by.

It is impossible for Girona to let themselves lose and waste opportunities in the next three matches, they will definitely use their best strength to continue to win in every upcoming match. I am very confident that Girona will remain in the top three of the standings. I think the next match, when they play Atletico Madrid, must at least end in a draw so that Girona's points are not chased by Athletic Club. Míchel is already considering the strategy that should be used for the match on April 13th.

In my opinion, even though Barcelona is not runner up as long as Barcelona is in the top four they will also get a UCL ticket next season, Girona could possibly take the runner up position but it seems that Barcelona is currently much more consistent than them, as long as Xavi rotates his players well of course Barcelona's position will not change until the end of this season, Xavi seems to be preparing himself more for the upcoming UCL match against PSG because according to him maintaining the runner up position will not be disturbed.

Facing PSG is certainly not an easy job for Barcelona because we know that PSG's strength is also quite good, especially since there is Mbappe there which might worry Barcelona, at least Xavi must strengthen their back line so that Mbappe and his friends are not easily penetrated, I think the UCL results for xavi is much more important at the moment for Barcelona than thinking about how to maintain the runner up position in Laliga, I think Barcelona will be safe there in second place in the standings, playing at PSG's home ground at least Barcelona must be able to win the first leg to make them safe when playing there the second leg match later, that's what Xavi is thinking about right now.

Based on last few years history, a club that have at least 70 points would able to enter top 4 positions, Girona is currently lack 5 points, so they might drop to 5th positions. Will Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club able to overtake Girona's positions?

It's a big joke that Barcelona created such kind contract in order to let other clubs have no way to buy out Pedri.

Pedri contract will be expired at 2026 but recently Barcelona has decide to offering him new contract soon this because Barcelona considers Pedri as the future player of Barcelona and they predict he was potentially will became an important player for this team in the next several years and talking about Barcelona youngster actually this team was never lack of young talented player from their academy La Masia because they can produce talented players for almost every season

Actually before Lamine Yamal who performing well this season Barcelona has Gavi and Pedri and both players can performing fantastic and they can earn trust from Xavi to playing for each matches with Barcelona but unfortunately they are unlucky because currently they got injured even for Gavi he have to ended this season early because long term injured even so with Pedri he is not so different because since 2021 he was plenty got some injured which makes he cannot full play with Barcelona for 1 season and i think Barcelona decision when they want to extended Pedri contract is a bit risky because just like i said above Pedri also injured prone

In those 8 matches that remain before the end of this tournament will not affect Real Madrid points and their position, because they have the capacity to continue maintaining the first position till the end of the 8 matches. Barcelona and Girona are still trying their possible best to ensure they improve in their remaining matches so that they will not make any mistakes that will make Athletics club to take one of the position to be more close to Real Madrid. For Girona to reach this third position in the la Liga league table which they have never come close before, I think they will not give Athletic club any chance to use the remaining matches to top them.
