Rumors of Mbappe moving to Real Madrid are almost certain. But we have not seen any official news yet. Since we haven't seen the official news yet, I'd say Mbappe still has a chance to renew his contract with PSG . Because we have seen Mbappe behave like this in the last few seasons. He renewed his contract with PSG at the last minute.

Florentino Perez is pushing hard to include Mbappe in the squad. Because he knows very well that it is not possible to dominate La Liga and Champions League depending on the performance of Vini and Rodrygo alone. Both Madrid the league leaders and Barcelona have distractions on their path to becoming a Champions, the champions league, that's why I was expecting Girona to always be a point or 2-3 points ahead of Madrid/Barcelona at this stage of the campaign and if you talk about Barcelona doing well now that they're in the quarter finals of the champions league I believe they played and got to this very round base on luck.
Barcelona's form of recent can't grant them any trophy at the moment because if you check teams that are in the quarter finals of the champions league you'd rate them out, to me between Barcelona and Bayern Munich (that are having a bad season) I'd say the Spanish side would fall out before the German side.
Barcelona and Madrid are some how battle to stay consistent and with how the league leaders (Real Madrid) have been taking care of business you'd understand that they're trying not to make mistakes and any error on their path the league title is gone, I expect both teams to drop points this very week.

One might argue that Atletico Bilbao have nothing they are fighting for and as such may not want to be serious in that game but I strongly disagree because even though they may not get to 1st or second place, at least they'd ensure they qualify for champions league next season since the last time they had such a chance was in the 2014/15 season and I don't think they would want to take this privilege of getting into the top four with kid gloves.
 Unarguably, Madrid are the better side but I'm sure they won't get out of this game easily.
 

Well , I think the deal is almost done but PSG is still in the UCL competition with a fair chance to win it so I think as soon as PSG drops from UCL ( or after they win it ) , the announcement will be done. The second option can be that PSG wants Real to wait until current Ligue 1 season will end and then announce the transfer but I think the first option will be the one that happens or so I think. 

We are still waiting for Mbappe to confirm that he is going to play for Real Madrid officially and this player or Real Madrid hasn't announced anything yet.
However, we know the deal is done and Mbappe is not even considering the other options and offers he got so far because he is only thinking about Real Madrid. But he didn't say anything about it officially.
According to some news, Mbappe is waiting for the Champions League, and sicne both teams, PSG and Real Madrid are playing in this tournament, he is not talking about his transfer to Real Madrid. But I think if Manchester City beats Real Madrid and Real Madrid loses the Champions League, Mbappe will officially announce his final decision about the next season.

I don't agree with you, Real Madrid is not in a calm position because the gap between them and the second place team Barcelona is not much, Real Madrid still has 9 more matches to Play same number with the second place team if they fail to win any match and Barcelona wins their match they make the league to be more competitive once again because they difference in points between them is just 8 points which is not equivalent to 3 matches. In the between Real Madrid and Bilbao will not be an easy game for Madrid this is because Bilbao is already ahead of ATM with one point if they manage to defeat Real Madrid and maintain their performance till the end of the season they will see themselves in the champions league next season so right now Real Madrid needs to be ready to play any team they face with all seriousness to avoid being pressured by Barcelona for the title race.

Yeah Barcelona has been trying to take over 2nd place for the last few weeks and their efforts are supported by Girona who have played poorly in the last 5 matches. Apart from that, Barcelona really needs to win in La Liga matches to increase their confidence when playing in the Champions League and Barcelona must be able to continue this positive trend until next month or before the UCL match. We know that fighting PSG is not easy, therefore Barcelona must prepare everything including player confidence.

In my opinion, this season Barcelona cannot compete with Real Madrid for 2 reasons, the first is that their defense is very bad imagine Barcelona conceding 34 goals in 29 matches or one of the worst among the top 6, Barcelona also needs a new striker to improve the attack this can be proven by the absence of Barcelona players on the top scorer list usually we always see one of the Barcelona players there and instead we saw 3 new names there.

Maybe coaching at the club has put too much of a drain on him and he needs a break from all that pressure. I don't blame him at all, especially for the fact that Barcelona has been struggling financially, and they can't afford players Xavi might have need in order to create a perfect team for his style.

At the moment, I don't see any cheap top manager that can get to Barcelona in the current situation it is and try to keep it a float while the storm clears. Perhaps that's why Laporta wants him to stay.

This has aswell helped Real Madrid to ease the pressure on them in their domestic league to Abe able to maintain a good position because they are already at a very good position so they would now ha e all their attention and focus on the champions league very well enough to see how much they can be able to get from the champions league and possibly win the champions league this season.

This less pressure on Real Madrid in their domestic League is an advantage for them as against Manchester city who they will be facing who is currently tasked with making sure they are able to win their domestic league game or loose a chance to stay in the premier league top and be able to defend the trophy as the defending champions but then with Real Madrid they don't have any of such pressure so Manchester city is in between trying to get the work done on both sides meanwhile it's almost not possible because even rotational tactics wouldn't work really effectively in cases such as this for them.

Real Madrid could probably use this as an advantage to win this game but then Manchester city is playing from home and loosing at home is something that's not common with Manchester city as they usually make sure to win most of their home games regardless of how the situation surrounding it is but this may actually be different because they are under some kind of pressure, except they are going to prioritize one against the other then they can only one much more than they do with the other.

No one doubts Barcelona's performance where they are in second place in the standings and now they have achieved it. In La Liga, if Barcelona is not the champion, Real Madrid is definitely the champion and these two teams are always at the top in La Liga, meaning that if Real Madrid is the champion, Barcelona will definitely be the runner up. Indeed, Barcelona's status this season is defending champion, but they have not performed brilliantly since the start of the season, so there is no way for them to become champions this season. But apart from that, if it is second place or a ticket to the Champions League, of course Barcelona will always be a customer.

However, he's already announced that he's going to leave the club at the end of the season no matter and that there's nothing that's gonna happen that'll stop him from leaving the club. He even went on to say that even if Barcelona should end the season with the UEFA Champions League title, he's still going to leave the club so I don't think there's anything that Barcelona president Laporte is going to do to convince Xavi Hernandez to stay at the club beyond the end of the current season

Barcelona opportunity to win the La Liga trophy this season is still open, because mathematically it is still possible. However, Barcelona chances are said to be very low, because Real Madrid is still very consistent in collecting additional points. Like as I had guessed earlier. Laporta tries  to keep Xavi as the coach for another season, but Xavi hasn't given any indication that he wants to stay longer through laporta's interview with him. I think Xavi needs to chill and realize that other players and teams are also feeling the pressure and he was not the only one who received it. Can Xavi stop playing the victim and step up?I hope he stays for another season and don't be act like a kid. Xavi needs to understand team still needs him now

To be honest, Xavi has been doing a pretty decent job as a Barcelona coach this season even though his team was so struggling in the early season, but Xavi is now proving that his team can improve a lot compared to the early season. It's weird that he's still thinking of leaving the club when things are going pretty well. Laporta was still doing the right thing by trying to convince Xavi to stay longer in the club and laporta sees xavi can do that for another season.

I'm curious to see if Xavi will change his mind about stepping down at the end of the season, and I hope for him to do so. Personally, I think he should stay as a coach in Barcelona. Xavi's acting like a child, which is just plain weird.

However I'm confused based on the performance and statistical data of these elite teams this season, they've been up and running this season but few of them have failed to gather their pieces and geared up as a formidable team.

Their performance has plummeted, and they could be struggling to win matches.
