The main issue I see is Ancelotti’s strategy. He struggles to push his players to create strong goalscoring opportunities. Dominating possession isn’t enough in football. Real Madrid’s identity has always been about scoring goals and winning matches, not just playing beautiful football without being effective in front of goal.

The temporary score is still 1-0 where Valencia is still leading until the match enters the 68rd minute. There is still a lot of time left and Real Madrid must be able to use it better to be able to equalize. What is strange to me is why big teams can lose control when facing lower ranked teams even though they are in their best form but they find it very difficult to control the game when facing weak teams.

Before the match started I predicted that Real Madrid would be able to score an early goal but in fact Valencia did it. Real Madrid needs 3 points to lead the standings and I hope they don't waste this opportunity.

TBH, I never expected that Real Madrid will experience a difficult match today. They are against Valencia which are a part of 3 teams in relegation zone. How can Valencia lead the game with 1 goal now? I assume Ancelotti a bit underestimate this team, Ancelotti doesn't put their best midfielders. Ceballos doesn't deserve to be among the starting players, there are still Modric and Camavinga on the bench.

However, I agree with you that it is not over yet. The match is still on going, there is a chance for Real Madrid to win the match. But I think there should be some changes in the tactics and the players in the field. It is a bit annoying that Ancelotti still doesn't change any player. Roll Eyes

There's still plenty of time for the second half and judging by the way Madrid are controlling the tempo of the game, it looks like there could be some interesting surprises in store for Madrid in the second half, especially with the extra players already on the sidelines.

Mbappe started the second half with a good goal but it was ruled out by VAR because he was offside but with this we can see that there could be a real comeback for Madrid even though they are still behind.
If Madrid end up losing this match then Atletico will look more comfortable in their position and once again Madrid squandered their chance to be at the top of the table. But I don't think Madrid will just waste this because as long as there is still time, all possibilities for them can still happen.

Because despite we knowing that Madrid needs this 3 points for today game in other to remain top on the league, there is a higher tendency they are likely to lose if coach Ancelotti fail to address of bringing in more attackers as we begin the second half shortly. As I still believe even at die minutes, Madrid is capable of performing the unthinkable.

When the match started, it became clear that this wasn't the case. Valencia played better in the first half. The first half ended 1-0 but Valencia could've scored more goals. Real Madrid play very erratically and are very vulnerable in defense.
The second half started and Real Madrid won a penalty. But Bellingham hit the post. Valencia is now even more emboldened. They deserved the game in the first 60 minutes and I hope they can keep it up until the end and win the game. I don't know if they can last 30 minutes more. Last year Real Madrid turned many games in the last minutes.

In the end, it wasn't too easy because looking at the performance in the first half, there are a lot of things that need to be improved and we are even 1 goal behind now from Valencia due to an error in anticipation of a quick counter-attack that made Madrid concede the first goal in this first half.

First I'd like to highlight the scheme and formation. Honestly for now I think Ancelotti is trying too many new schemes even though the 2 or striker scheme is very good for Madrid but Ancelotti again changed the scheme with 4-2-3-1 which when looking at the previous matches with this same formation is not too optimal for Madrid's attack.

In addition, in the first half, Madrid still looked rushed in their attacks, with several misplaced passes that led to missed opportunities.
But even so I am quite sure of 3 points in this match because after all there are still some players who can be maximized in the second half later including Brahim, Camavinga and Arda who are still on the bench this can still be an option to increase their power in terms of attack.

Bookies are not even setting the same odds, so most likely they would fight over such things. Away from manipulations and being able to purchase matches for their own benefit, the odds are already in the bookies sides no matter how the match ended up. Now Valencia scored one goal against Real Madrid, from a great counter attack and a huge mistake from their defensive lines. Like this, they would also say that Real Madrid’s players are corrupted?

In the other hand, let’s talk about the continues bad coaching of Ancelotti who is the main issue in Madrid now, that’s my opinion and point of view. The focus on attacking lines is what makes them suffer conceiving goals in very dumb ways.

Valencia has no chance in this game. The second bottom team against the second top team, there is no match here, all I see is a smooth three points well secured by Madrid with no stress or goal conceded. This s should be a total clean sheet for the away team but if Valencia wins then it means they were able to create chances and Madrid were lose to stop their advancement.
