Look at Athletic Bilbao. They beat Girona, which has ruined many teams. Even though they had less possession of the ball in the match, they managed to score 3 goals and create plenty of positions. Girona was the team that dominated the ball more, but this dominance did not reflect at the end of the match. In the end, they could not avoid being the defeated team. All teams except Real will be in a tight race to go to the Champions League next year. I think a good season of matches awaits us.

No doubt, I didn't say that Athletic Bilbao should be underestimated at all. Obviously, they are playing a good season or otherwise they wouldn't as close to the Champions League qualifiers as they are!

But my point is that Atletico Madrid has a deeper squad, the quality and the experience to know how to finish a season in the safe zone, which means to at least reach 4th rank and qualify for the Champions League. Since I doubt that Bilbao could threaten Barcelona or Real Madrid, the question is whether they can take a position from Girona or Atletico and that's where it becomes interesting because I am convinced that Atletico won't drop so many points that they fall out of the top four.

In the case of Girona I am on the fence at the moment. I wasn't some weeks ago because they played spectacular football, but they do have a little crisis and now the question is whether that little crisis turns into a disaster or whether they can strengthen their top four position in the coming weeks.

Girona defeat against Real Madrid I think was not about losing performance because after all, Girona basically does not have the same quality as Real Madrid. Therefore, Real Madrid still managed to beat Girona even though in this season Girona is very impressive because Girona managed to competing for the top position with Real Madrid . But unfortunately, Girona got another defeat against Bilbao but even so, I think it is still a reasonable result because Bilbao at this moment also has impressive results.

But after all, in the next match Girona will play at home against Rayo Vallecano and yes, I think Girona has a chance to win . But even if Girona fail, of course I am still confident that Girona are capable of finishing in the top four, because basically Girona in this season has a good performance so I do not doubt the quality of Girona in this season to finish in the top four.

Barcelona and atletico madrid are also even closer to the real madrid as well. Hopefully, real madrid will able to make the gap to be even bigger than this time. Real madrid must always win the game to keep its gap to the other clubs still safe. Madrid is still trying so hard to improve its performance.
I can't even deny that how madrid tried its best anytime but sometime it was not lucky enough like the match against rayo. Im only wondering what step to be taken by ancellotti after the match against rayo. Madrid has easy opponent in UCl.
The second leg will not give the club another burden. Madrid can put all of its focus in the la liga match. It feels like that facing medium tier in this league is far harder for madrid rather than faced a strong team from the different league.
It can be seen from how madrid was trying so hard to get perfect result. Madrid shall not waste opportunity to farm more points from the mediocre club. it will be another disaster for the club if madrid will keep lose more points. The club needs to concern with its consistency.
Playing without bellingham was obviously giving very big impact to the performance from the club.

After beating Girona with an epic game, Bilbao now has high confidence in chasing fourth place. Their next match is against Real Betis, I don't think they will waste this opportunity to get full points. This victory will also have a big impact on the psychology of the players because after fighting Betis they will face Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey, where they are currently winning 1-0 on aggregate against Atletico Madrid. A draw alone would see them through to the next round.

It must be admitted that this season Athletic has played every match impressively. I am not saying that they are going to do well enough, I know that it is not going to be all that easy to handle it all, but as long as we let it be, we should be fine, I do not think that it will have that much of a trouble.

I believe that the best thing to do for Girona right now would be cash in on the players they have, try to sell them at high prices so that they would make good money. In return, they could try to get some good players again for cheaper and try to make the team good again later on with some money in their pockets.

No need to hesitate to Real Madrid, they will definitely win the title this season no competitors can pursue them even though Real Madrid's performance is not optimal, Girona left 6 points means Girona hopes Real Madrid will lose 2 times or draw 6 times before the season ends which in my opinion is not possible in the remaining 13 matches. Atlético Madrid and Barcelona are already very closed to Girona in terms of points. so i think soon they can overtake Girona and go to second and third position. Atlético Madrid, Ariel Madrid and Barcelona are very good football teams. they have been far behind since the start of this year's league, but nothing is better understood by the start of the game. now again these 3 teams are playing very well and they are winning regularly. so a tough competition between them will determine the champion

The only problem with the Athletic Bilbao is they always choke when they have to make the hit, for example when you think they are not gonna lose the steam they lsoea gainst some weak team and lose the fron wagon, and with that is impossible to fight in top positions, the bad thing for them is they can be in a clear 4 position but Girona years is magnificent and is one more team in that front wagon.

Barcelona's performance in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie Napoli was more than I expected of them and I think the club manager and players should be applauded for their efforts in that game. The Spanish champions haven't been consistent this season for some obvious reasons and that's why I was expecting them to be thrashed by Napoli who also haven't been consistent this season despite winning the Italian Serie A title last season but surprisingly, it was Barcelona who were very close to securing a win in that game before Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen scored late in the game to equalize the match.

Yesterday's match was played at the the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in Naples which means that Barcelona will be playing the second leg of the game at the famous Camp Nou; a ground that have experienced some of the greatest comebacks in the history of the competition which now makes me to have a new prediction on who will progress among the two clubs. Initially I predicted that reigning Italian champions Napoli were gonna progress but considering the result and performance of both teams yesterday, I now think that Barcelona stands a better chance of reaching the quarter finals of the competition ahead of their Italian opponents Napoli.

Girona started the season on a very good note and because of their very impressive start to the season as well as their consistency, they were tipped by many to win the Spanish La Liga title this season but considering their recent results in the Spanish league, I don't think they're ever gonna win the league title again this season. The talk about the possibility of Barcelona overtaking Girona to occupy the second spot in the Spanish league table I think is very likely to happen because Girona aren't as good as they were at the start of the season while Barcelona are getting good results in the league lately.  Girona are currently two points ahead of third placed Barcelona at the moment and might not be able to retain the second spot till the end of the season but I'm very sure that they're gonna finish the season in the top four of the Spanish La Liga table.

Athletic Bilbao's decisive run for their top four chance is really a serious threat for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.    By the way I'm still surprised how Barcelona are able to stay three points ahead of Atletico Madrid with this performance honestly.  

I really admire Athletic Bilbao's performance in the La Liga this season. They are way better than those two teams at defending before anything else. When it comes to scoring productivity I think they are really good at that as well. Their effort against Girona was really impressive last week. They still have games against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid both too so the results of these games will be really crucial for them to make it to top four. But it feels like they won't finish there anyway.

That's true, however, if Barcelona this season fails to defend the title then they will try to finish in second place and at least that is still good rather than being quite far behind Real Madrid. The Blaugrana are very rational about the targets they want because after all they are aware that if this season they don't get good results and they have to be willing to take the title away from their eternal rival.

Girona must be quite annoyed with their performance so far and they have had these bad results in a row and wasted several points that they could have got. It is true that Girona must rise because they can be an example for other mediocre teams next season if this season alone they can make it difficult for teams as big as Real Madrid or Barcelona in the standings. The match against Rayo will be a turning point for them or even if they lose again then it is almost certain that Girona will not be able to survive much longer at the end of the season.

But when we look at what it takes to secure the valuable fourth spot and qualify for the next Champions League season, I think that Atletico is much closer to having those attributes than Athletic Bilbao. The distance between them is pretty narrow, but I believe that the reserves for Atletico to tap into are much bigger than those for Bilbao.

But it is not all about Atletico and Bilbao. If Girona can't stop their downtrend, nobody knows where they will be ending up. Give them another two losses and things could start looking quite differently for them compared to what everybody thought they might be able to pull off a few weeks ago. Dropping eight points in three games has happened to them for the first time this season I think. They are now going to have a few more games against weaker teams and also two games at home out of the next three, but let's see whether they can put this downtrend to an end.

Yeah Atletico Madrid is not really settled on that position they are currently on because there points difference and Athletic Club is too close, so perhaps right now the only way for them to maintain the position is by being more consistent than before because currently Athletic Club is waiting for any slightest opportunity to push Atletico Madrid down to the fourth position, so Atletico Madrid should really work hard on there next match against Almeria, although from the table they have upper chance of wining them so if they eventually win the match they will have more points over Athletic Club but provided that Athletic Club will draw there match.

However I'm seeing the same competition among Girona and Barcelona because they are struggling and competing for the second position of the Spanish La Liga and right now there points difference is not much because Girona has 56 points while Barcelona has 54 points, so if Girona failed to win there match and Barcelona eventually succeeded on wining there match that means that Barcelona will be representing the second position.

Even though Real Madrid is currently far ahead of the second ranked club (Girona). However, calling Real Madrid the current winner is very inaccurate. The reason is that in the remainder of this season, Real Madrid still has many matches to go through to become Laliga champions. Because it is possible that in the remaining matches this season Real Madrid will experience a decline in performance and suffer defeat in several matches. Although the possibility is very small if you look at Real Madrid's current performance. But in the world of football, anything can happen. Therefore, it is still too early to say that Real Madrid are now champions in Laliga.

In my personal opinion, the squad that Real Madrid currently has is very good. Whether it's in the back line, midfield or front line. The most prominent examples of players are Belingham and Vinicius JR. who plays in the midfield and also the left wing line. It could be said that these two players are very promising future assets for Real Madrid.
Apart from that, I think the other Real Madrid players are all very good and their quality is above average. That's why Real Madrid this season can be at the top of the La Liga standings (Provisional). apart from being a good player, I also agree that Ancelotti can create good schemes and strategies for Real Madrid players. So if you say that Real Madrid currently doesn't have a player who can replace Benzema, in my opinion that assumption is very incorrect.

That's why I idolize Don Carlo and he is one of the best coaches for Real Madrid. He can maximize the squad and is even able to win the title even without having a replacement for Benzema. This shows that he is a smart coach and really understands the potential of each player. Some say that Ancelotti is a tactically poor coach, but this season has proven that even though he has simple tactics, Ancelotti is able to maximize the potential of each player very well.

Girona has performed poorly in the last 3 matches. It seemed like they had reached their limit. It is difficult for a mediocre team that has suddenly risen to title contention to be consistent in their play. But this will be an advantage for Girona next season because they have entered the ranks of the top clubs in La Liga.
