Barcelona maybe able to recover in these few weeks remaining till the end of the season but I'm still in great doubt they will be able to displace Madrid, even if Madrid losses one match again before the end of the season, they still get a better chance to be the la Liga champions this season.

I agree that Atletico Madrid needs to secure their place in the Champions League by winning upcoming matches. With Athletic Bilbao close behind, they cannot afford to drop any more points. It will be crucial for Atletico to focus and perform well in order to maintain their position in the standings.

Girona does not have deep player resource like Real Madrid and Barcelona or even Athletico Madrid. Their coach and players don't have experience to compete for a league title so it is logic to see they fail to build up a solid plan for a long season. Their players also lack of ability to decrease intensity of playing when they already have good advantage to win a match. They chase for big wins whenever they can and forget that big or minimal win, it only helps them to get three points similarly.

Real Madrid are leading the league and they have so big chance to win La Liga as Girona are quite far from Real Madrid level to beat Real Madrid in this dual fighting.

Other clubs will have to hope that Real Madrid will go very far in Champions League like semi finals and even final. Champions League potentially cause problems, lack of concentration of Real Madrid on La Liga. It can help other clubs have some advantages in La Liga but they must have nearly perfect performances in last matches to beat Real Madrid as temporary point differences are already big and safe enough for Real Madrid.

I agree with you that real Madrid is already the winner of this Spanish La Liga because there performance and points difference is very clear so there is no way any club can challenge real Madrid on the first position now, however it was Girona that had the opportunity to stand as a threat to real Madrid but they lost the privilege the moment they lose there match against Athletic club, so perhaps right now the only position they should really focus on now is to maintain the second position but if they failed to be consistent then Barcelona will take over the second position, so perhaps they still have good opportunity to secure themselves a very good reputation.

Newcastle is a different story than Union Berlin by miles and miles and miles. They are playing in the Premier League and even an investor doesn't guarantee that they can out of nowhere compete with Manchester City and Liverpool and yet they are 8th in the Premier League at the moment and I don't deem their drop in performance that significant.
