Getting a Dr against a team as annoying as Atlético Madrid is not a bad outcome after all. Real Madrid were lucky to see Girona getting a draw too yesterday vs Real Sociedad which wasn't an easy game too.
Barcelona profited the most from the 2 points drop of their direct rivals to reduce the number of points between them to 6 points for Girona and 8 points from Real Madrid.

The formation of the defence line looked good to me, but they had to allow Atletico Madrid to break through and score an equalizer. They played excellent football throughout the game, and their goalkeeper made some crucial saves. Real Madrid were brilliant but sceptical in their approach, as they are experiencing a decline in overall performance due to injuries to some of their players. I can only say that they did an excellent job, but allowing that equaliser in the final minutes was not ideal.

Clubs are probably too broke to splash money randomly in the January transfer window, perhaps most are waiting for the Summer transfers Grin

I don't know if I just wasn't too observant, but I believe there haven't been so many notable transfers this time round, not just in La Liga but in all the top leagues in Europe.

That aside, it looks like Brahim Diaz is slowly becoming a favorite in the Bernabéu. I just like how he plays his heart out when given a chance and his composure when scoring. i would love to see him develop into a top forward.

Girona are slowly throwing away their chance of winning the league, they have drawn two games in their last five matches, and even if that is not a bad result for a club of their standard, it is bad when you are in a title race with a club that is as big as real madrid. Real madrid are leading Atletico madrid 1-0 right now, and i think it could finish like that, a win would put madrid 4 points above Girona, and it makes their dream very difficult to be achieved, however even if they don't win the league and they qualify for the champions league next season, it is a big achievement for a 'small' club like Girona.

So far Real Madrid are doing very well and with a win they would be 4 points ahead of Girona on second place. There are only 20 minutes to play and Real are playing Defensive and waiting for a counterattack. Joselu now comes into the game and Brahim Diaz goes off, he scored the goal. As some powerplay is still to come and a second goal would decide it quickly. Atletico try, but they cant get through, i thinkit will be a win for Real Madrid today.

Derby Madrid first half, Brahim Diaz could give Real Madrid the advantage in this first half and temporarily the 3 points of this match are for Real Madrid unless Atletico changes things in the second half which is something very possible if they managed to find a strategy in their finishes.
Even that Real Madrid dominated everything and created many chances, But we cannot say also Atletico Madrid even with 5 defenders could create dangerous chances.
The goal was a total mistake of the Atletico Madrid defensive lines where they left the attackers play and pass between them in their goal area, I feel like Atletico was playing easily and wanted to win without much efforts knowing that there are many injuries in the white house.
