I would definitely blame Sevilla's poor performance on their management. Sevilla's performance in La Liga was not good in the previous season either. Squad depth and lack of precise strategy are the reasons why Sevilla has experienced a very significant decline in performance this season. There is no more reasonable reason than these two things, the rest is the competitive factor of other teams.

The Sevilla players don't seem to have the enthusiasm to compete this season because it feels useless to play on the field. The points they are behind are very far away, and I'm sure the Sevilla players just want this competition to end quickly. The next El Classico match will be very much tough and interesting than expected because it is going to be the final of the super cup and each of this teams will be willing to bring the cup home. Like you said, Barcelona will have a hard time facing Real Madrid to win the title this year. Xavi have a lot of work to do to bring this trophy home. Because the match is about who will win, of course both parties will try to win and this will show a very interesting and very fierce game from the first round. This El Clasico is about true rivalry which still wants to show who is the best in whatever cup it is and if you look at the squad lines that both of them have, I am more likely to believe in Real Madrid to win that match.

Im not hoping a lot for the next el classico. There may be a boring game to come and i hate to say that if the derby between barcelona vs real madrid were always boring after messi and ronaldo have gone from those clubs. I do like real madrid when it was playing against other club than barcelona.
It feels like that real madrid was showing attractive gameplay and strategy unlike when it was facing barcelona. Real madrid lost its instinct to score as many goal as possible against barcelona.
