I believe that having financial trouble is not the same as having debt. The problem is that they do have money, but they are not legally allowed to use it, why? Because that would mean that they are not paying their debt with that money. They actually do not feel broke, or not like they have nothing, in fact, most clubs in the world run on future income and just take debts for today, for growth purposes, when you know a team is about to get 1 billion dollars in income for the next 5 years, every bank would feel fine about giving them a 100 million loan.

However, their problems is that financial fair play means they can't, not without selling some players, which causes them to be doing terrible and usually that is their biggest problem.

They indeed are going downhill. When Messi left, they turned into an ordinary team. They could win La Liga only once. With Messi, the la liga championship came automatically, the main goal was the champions league. In 2019, Messi almost won the champions league by himself. After that, Barcelona is at most a team of the calibre of Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad. In the short term, if they don't buy 2-3 guys who make a difference and take the team up a level, their rivals will be R. Sociedad - A. Bilboa - A Madrid instead of R Madrid. They should never, never buy unstable guys like Raphinha, Ferran Torres.

Xavi should just try his best and return to form because Barcelona is a strong club and they need to perform well and compete with Real Madrid and Girona in the league, but the way Barcelona is performing, I don't think they can play well in the Champions League with Napoli because I see Napoli signing some players to strengthen their league.

If we talk about the quality and strength of Barcelona this season, it seems like Xavi and his team are having difficulty retaining the La Liga trophy. Mathematically, Barcelona still has a chance to retain the trophy, because Madrid and Girona are also not completely safe from losing points in the remaining matches ahead. I don't think Sevilla would be actually relegated. But it will be a very fierce fight. They just can’t seem to be winning any matches these days. They had to let many key players go in the previous season and their current situation is not looking very good. Their downfall started in the last season and now it is even worse.

I think if Sevilla just wins a match right now, we can call them safe from Relegation for now. They need to win every 3-4 matches to stay safe from the relegation zone. I don't think Almeria or Granada will be getting over them. Their fight will be with Cadiz and Celta Vigo. It just does not feel good to see a team with this history go down due to these financial situations.

Obviously, although Barcelona won but still the quality and performance of Barcelona was poor in this match and thus, then of course there is no chance for Barcelona to be able to win the trophy this season . I never blamed or thought that this was all Xavi fault, but look at how great Xavi is as a coach for a club that has financial problems, whereas last season it was able to win the LaLiga title with only the existing players and at the start of this season Xavi also made the best contribution to maintain his position at first position in the points table and finally experienced a decline in performance and became 3rd position.
If Barca management thinks that if Xavi fails to win the LaLiga title he will have to be fired, that is a very big mistake and I am willing to bet that Barca will not be able to get a coach whose intelligence is equal to Xavi with only free players from the transfer market still remaining in 3rd place.
We have to know that all of this is a decline in the physical quality of the players and compare the performance of Barca attack line at the start of the season which was very strong and is currently experiencing a decline due to perhaps fatigue from competing in the Champions League and LaLiga.
This not an easy task for a coach and I am sure no one will be able to be like Xavi.

I also don't think so. Sevilla are big sides, I watched the game against Atletico Madrid and they played better than they've done in all of the entire season just in that game, with the transfer window open they can make additional players who can help the squad mentally and physically in the remaining half of the season. They don't have to be relegated this way.

For Barcelona last night, good to see they finally won, at least it's a good way to see them start the year with a late winner from Ilkay Gundogan from the spot kick.
Xavi Hernandez has been tagged poor by the fans, he's got to improve honestly, they can't continue winning narrowly.

Relegation is steering at Sevila in the face and it will take almost a miracle to safe them this time,  and I agree with the fact that if their are able to accumulate high points in the second round,  it may likely be possible for Sevila to stay off relegation again in this season just like their did escape in the last season.

But for the fact that,  it is not only Sevila that is battling to escape relegation in the next round,  other clubs that are of the same category and performance with them that have same problem of none performance in that last couple of matches in this round of the league,  such as Cadiz and Almara who will likely face sevila in the next round,  this clubs could pause a threat to Sevila success in this season and how possible for them to escape relegation.

Football is a game of two halves and that's why for any team to win a football match, they must be prepared to perform well in the two halves. Yesterday, Las Palmas were the best team of only the first half of their Spanish La Liga game against Barcelona but couldn't reciprocate their first half performance in the second half of the game and that's why they lost a game they were leading in the first half.
Barcelona were the better side in the second half of the Spanish La Liga game at Las Palmas and should've even win the game with a better scoreline but relied on Ilkay Gundogan's stoppage time goal to claim all three points from the game.

Barcelona were very lucky in this match, as they were awarded a late penalty which saved them from an unsatisfactory draw. Las Palmas were very troublesome for Barcelona, even they could maintain the score until the end of the first half. But in the second half Barcelona were able to score a goal and make the score even. I thought they were going to draw for the 6th time after so litle time left they were still drawing. But the chance came, and Ilkay Gundogan who stepped up as the executioner did a great job.
They've been going downhill lately, Xavi hernandez needs to find a solution to get them back on track sooner rather than later. Time is running out and if they can't improve their perfrmance then they won't be able to catch the 2 clubs that are above them by 7 points.

Barcelona starting to slow down this season and perhaps this is due to their financial problems which are still entangling them so that when other teams start looking for targets for new players with high quality, this is actually different from Barcelona which is relatively targeting free players in transfer window, so it feels like it will be difficult for Barcelona to improve their strength,however, apart from the lucky goal in injury time against Palmas, of course winning 3 points indicates that Barcelona still haven't given up on the La Liga title race this season, f course, Xavi won't just give up and let Madrid and Girona get the trophy easily until the end of the season.

If Las Palmas's class has been able to make things difficult for Barcelona in today's match, that will allow everyone to assess the quality of Barcelona's players this season. Athletic club is a very strong and most importantly stable team, but unfortunately they always lack a few points to be in the top three teams in the league. Usually Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid share the places, but Athletic club are really good, because in addition to high places in the championship, they also play well in the European cups and all this without big sponsors and high-profile transfers.

I feel sorry for Sevilla, they used to be a very original and interesting club, which when it was coached by Emery won the europa league and always played at a good level. Perhaps there was a change of management or they did not guess with the coach, because the results of Sevilla are terrible.

Personally, I think Sevilla will not be relegated, even though we already know the detailed statistics and reputation of their performance in the first half of the season. Ilkay Gundogan without doubt is a great player who on many occasions has provided the moments that changed the whole atmosphere of games he's involved in and last night's stoppage time goal to deny Las Palmas a point in their own home ground while handing his Barcelona side the all three points of the game has once again proven how good of a player the former German international is and can be.

At halftime, Las Palmas were still leading in the game and looked like a team who would fight to finish to grab all three points from the game but Ferran Torres scored in the 55th minute to give Barcelona a chance before Gundogan scored in the  dying minutes to complete the come back. Like you said, that win brings Barcelona back in track to keep competing for the Spanish La Liga title
