The fact that Girona is number one in the points table behind the likes of Real Madrid Barcelona and Atlético Madrid really surprised me a lot. Real Madrid or Barcelona are the favorites for every season and this season is no exception but the team that we never thought we would see at the top of the points table is now at the top of the points table. I am quite skeptical about Girona’s results, so far they have managed to stay in the lead well, but they had a good game schedule before, among the top teams they only played against Sociedad and Real Madrid and lost points in both matches.

Soon they will have to play with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, I think that these matches can become decisive, because if they also lose points in these matches, they will most likely lose the lead to Real Madrid, but they will be able to remain in the top 4. Ancelotti contract at Real Madrid is no longer long and will end soon but in the same time, Xabi also still has a long contract at Bayer Leverkusen. With that in mind, I personally don't believe Xabi will replace Ancelotti next season because ya, it looks like Xabi might still stay at Bayer Leverkusen maybe for another season or two.
