At least madrid is in the top 4 for CL tickets next season, since they qualified for the semifinals they have been inconsistent in the league so they are more focused on CL and the Copa Del Rey, but they have managed to win the Copa Del Rey after beating osasuna for now they are more focused on the CL semifinals against manchester city and of course maintaining the performance of madrid players they have to manage their players.

If later Madrid fail to lose to Manchester City, at least they have won the Copa Del Rey even though there is no vacant title this season, if they have to be displaced by Atletico, of course it doesn't matter to them. After having unexpected impressive last season now things are back on their routine, and they are having issues in La Liga which are preventing them from top two but now win into copa del ray can bring positive change for the Champions League as they are going to face Manchester City which is much better side on papers right now, but we have to wait for the real competition in ground.

They faced few unusual results which preventing them for the top two but if they won against Manchester City then surely things could be as par they were looking for because this win can turn their situation, and they can end this season again with the double as last season, but this is not easy for the Carlos Ancelotti which is also having last few matches of his career at the Real Madrid due to his next commitments with Brazil national team.

I understand that Real will go to UCL next season anyway, but being third is such a shameful result. This team won la liga plus ucl last season, just last season, and in a single season they may lose UCL and be third in the league. That is just way too bad and I feel like that shouldn't really be considering a good season at all, that is a season to forget for them. Forget about the cup and all, that means nothing.

From here on out, the only thing that can make this season alright is beating City and then getting UCL whoever they face on the final game, but there is absolutely nothing good about losing that too, that would be terrible. Or they could get back on the horse at the league and beat ATM to win second position back, which could happen but they really need to do that.

There are times when every club gets unsatisfactory results in La Liga and I understand very well how the transition of players Real Madrid is building after last season. Currently, Real Madrid's weakness is only in the back and midfield, so it is not surprising when at the end of the season they finished third. If you look at the history of the club or the results of the previous season, finishing third is not a good thing for Real Madrid, but that's how things are and there are still a few games left to reclaim second place.

I don't think Atletico will hold on to the second position for so long. Madrid is trying to set their priority right. They have won the Copa Del Rey and now they are getting ready for tomorrow clash with Man City which won't be an easy game. Madrid might return back to their Laliga form when they have settled scores with City. It is a difficult task that awaits them in the CL.

Maybe Real Madrid can't win the La Liga title this season but still they are better than Barcelona as for the success rate in the Champions League. This has got clearer in the recent years I mean. Barcelona have clearly been struggling in big games there which have blocked the way for them to reach upper rounds. This is a really serious issue for Barcelona in my opinion.

Maybe Xavi is doing well in the La Liga but the fans would like to see more than that. Xavi will need to prepare his players and strategies special to Champions League games from now on. They have a potential so they should go for it.

Because last week there were no La Liga matches, the standings board did not change. But this week all matches will start as usual again. The thing that interested me quite a bit were several teams in positions 14 to 18 in the standings. It is clear that the difference in points between the several teams is only 1 to 2 points and it is certain that this week there will be significant changes for the bottom teams.

Real Madrid and Osasuna have been fantastic. Osasuna put great pressure on Real Madrid but Real Madrid's defense stifled the attack brilliantly. But in the end, Real Madrid's attack was able to score 2 goals and eventually win the title.

Osasuna's performance was so surprising in this game. If real Madris's defense was handled the way it used to be I don't think they would have been able to overcome the pressure from Budimir and Lucas Toro. Thibaut Courtoise deserve more for this match, he was one of the saviors cuz from the statistics Real Madrid made fewer attempts but more accurately while Osasuna made more attempts in which some were blocked and some were saved. I think Madrid should now give attention to their position in La Liga standing cuz it is at risk.
