Maybe they would have been able to score that goal if it weren't for the red card. That incident dropped their morale level a lot.

After losing to Vallecano away previously this win must be very satisfying for Barcelona. They are getting close to the league title anyway but it is better to keep the gap with Real Madrid as high as possible for a bigger victory of course.

I am one of the biggest Messi fans out there, but when you do the planning for your future squad, you can't ignore age. A mix is always good like you can now see at Real Madrid, but how likely is it that Benzema will play a whole season without injuries? The good thing is that Messi and Lewandowski aren't really known for being injured very often, but still they won't get any younger. They do need to mix in players that are younger and that can develop.

I agree that having Messi in the front line, serving Lewandowski would be an awesome combination, but it still isn't a combination for the future. That is also part of the truth.

undoubtedly kerim Benzema has been real Madrid most valuable player this season for his consistency in terms of goal scoring since Ronaldo left the club his goal hadn't only been in quantity alone but also how crucial he tends to deliver when expected which has given them the points so far despite not been in the title race anymore outside his traditional job of goal scoring he has also been trusted with extraordinary responsibility and has proven himself. What amazed me more about Benzema was that he was actually no longer a young player. but he proved that he is still fit and still ahead of even the younger players. Because even this April, Benzema has actually made 3 hattricks.
And I think this is a really great record and achievement.

First of all, earlier this month, Benzema made a hattrick in the Real Madrid vs Valdolid match. then he also made a hattrick in the Real Madrid vs Barcelona match in the second leg of the copa del rey semi-final which made Real Madrid qualify for the final in the copa del rey. and last night's match, Benzema again made a hattrick in the match Real Madrid vs Almeria. Karim Benzema is a very good striker, even though he cannot be said to be young anymore, his ability to penetrate the opponent's defense cannot be doubted. Real Madrid is lucky to still have this one player, because now Real Madrid is having a hard time finding players who can act as spearheads who can take every opportunity they have. I think he's still worth keeping.

Although Robert Lewandowski is currently sitting as the top goalscorer in La Liga season but Karim Benzema is very close to the goalscorer this season. Actually, if Benzema's condition in terms of fitness is very good from the start this will be even more exciting but indeed we know his problem in the last few seasons is that Benzema's fitness is not very good. But despite that his performance is still very good when he plays and I like that.

Betis are out of top four race already maybe but they still have a chance for the Europa League ticket at least. This match against Barcelona was really important about this goal. Considering that Barcelona were already very comfortable in the lead I was seeing it even possible that Betis could steal some points. I thought of betting on double chance but I saw it still very risky. I went on with both teams to score instead.

But that red card by Betis dropped my hopes by a significant rate. They finished the match without scoring a single goal and it was frustrating to watch for me. Betis' main issue is this. They just can't maintain a decent performance while getting close to the end of the season. This costs them losing their Champions League chance earlier. Pellegrini is a really good coach but they really have a potential to do better than this.
