The race to get out of the relegation zone is quite an interesting one in this regard.
Even though only 1 goal was created, looking at Espanyol's performance, they actually put a lot of pressure on them in this match.

The competition from the 16th to the 19th team is actually very close. These teams are fighting to stay in La Liga currently. The team which is in the 20th position is not going to make it. They are done and they will also get relegated this season. I do not think Getafe will be able to stay in La Liga either because they are currently not playing well at all. I had a little fear about Sevilla but they are absolutely clear from the danger zone right now. It can be said surely that they are staying in the La Liga competition.

Espanyol are lucky got a goal through a penalty, if not maybe this match will ended with a draw result, but they really deserved the win. Because in the first half Espanyol really dominated that match, they also have a lot of opportunities there rather than Getafe. With that win, now Espanyol have managed to record three points after their last eight matches which ended in disappointment. Also with that three points now they have 31 points, very close to Valencia which are previously lost against Cadiz.

Valladolid vs Atletico Madrid, it's been 17 minutes both of teams haven't been able to scored, also this match looks a bit equal. But I'm sure Atletico Madrid will get a win in this match, Hopefully.

Yes I think the La Liga title race is over and 99% belongs to Barcelona. However, in my opinion, some of the results of the match did not have a major effect on El Barca's position at the top of the standings. With a large enough point difference with its competitors, it certainly makes the remaining matches of the season no longer interesting to enjoy.

For this season Barcelona will be La Liga champions, but I really hope Real Madrid is obliged to win the Copa del Rey title. I certainly really hope these two teams meet again in the Spanish Super Cup.

There is no reason to keep trying to win in La Liga. Maaaybe ATM could put some pressure on Real Madrid but the reality is that we are nowhere near there at the moment, we are very far away. This is why I believe that there shouldn't be worried about ATM beating Real anytime soon, real will finish second. It means that if they end up losing to City somehow, they would just finish second in the league and feel fine about it as well. It is not going to be a good season, but semi finals in UCL and second in La Liga is not a bad season for most teams.

Though there is no more hope for the champions league but as it stands now Villareal has convincingly proven themselves to be one of the Eueropa league contenders coming next season. I wasn't sure of the winning against Celta vigo after Strand Larsen's 29th minutes goal.
