Did they have pressure on laliga? that I'm not aware of because they had good season just that the pressure was much when they loss their place in Champions League group stage and Europa League and nothing was serious to lose those places, for example look at the Champions League table, the teams that were paired with Barcelona were Bayern Munich, Inter and Viktoria Plzen, and out of 6 away and home matches they played, they got just 7 points, that is very poor because it wasn't upto the average of the total 18 points max they were supposed to get and even after demoted to Europa, they couldn't triumph in the league, all I can say that Barcelona had that chance but they failed to use it.

It's only natural, if Barcelona failed in the Champions League. plus, the europa league. because, Xavi has just built Barcelona's strength back. meaning, there are still many deficiencies that Xavi must correct. also, with available team squad. Xavi still feels that his current team still has shortcomings. therefore, in the next season several other players will be released by Barcelona and several others who meet the criteria they will bring in. at least, in the next season Barcelona can be tougher than before and be able to compete at the Champions League level. plus, some of their younger players will be more mature in terms of experience.

Barcelona has a pretty good way to become a champion this season because the opponents going forward are teams that are not too strong for them like Elche, Girona, Getafe so that Barcelona in the next 3 matches can focus on finding maximum results in every game.

Xavi already stated that if barcelona is always putting its focus to win la liga. Copa del rey becomes less important for him compared with la liga. The truth is that Barcelona don't see themselves in europa and UCL, it has been long they won the Spanish league. After they might have win the Spanish league this season I know they will put better concentration in champions league. A club that has not win the home league for a longtime would want to win it first before any other one.

There is no point of being sentimental. Barcelona is able to survive the pressure in La liga but the fire in their champion league group stage was quite too much, Same with that in the Europa league. For some few years past, FC Barcelona has not been able to secure successive wins against Bayern Munich. and also, Meeting Manchester United in the Europa league was a hell them. You saying that Barcelona don't see themselves in Europa and Champion league, but we're only eager to win la liga title, seems u are trying to create an excuse for their Inability in those European competitions.
