it's still too far to say that, even though Barcelona is currently leading the standings but there are still very many remaining matches this season and all possibilities are still possible, Barcelona must be consistent until the end of the season if they want to win the La Liga title this season.

and Real Madrid's 3-1 win I think is very reasonable even without Benzema, and even so I still don't think it is Real Madrid's best performance, Real Madrid's problem this season is consistency, if you look at their performance they are quite good.

Barcelona have a great chance of winning the La Liga title at the moment, but I don't see them having much of a chance of winning any other league title. If Barcelona fail to win the La Liga title, they will be in serious trouble.

La Liga president have been throwing different kind of attacks on Barcelona. Its as he has a personal vendetta against the club. It makes no sense. See how he's still fighting them for the registration of Gavi into the first team, he even took the case to court after Barcelona found a way to register him last minute. He even came out and said Barcelona is in transfer ban and wont be able to sign any player this season, which is not true. Tebas just has it out for Barcelona and it sll began when Barcelona got a new management and started performing well both on and off the field. Which means he liked how the former Barce president was running the club to the ground.
The Negreira case just shows the targetted attacks on Barcelona. Barcelona is a client to Negreira's company, "Dasnil 95"which provides them with video analysis and refereeing reports regarding matches. Almost every gets these reports. Madrid takes them from former referees. But because Negraira was vice president at the time and had power, they feel he has influence to help Barca.
No single evidence have been brought forward but the English media do not even care to report that part, they just love hearing negatives about Barcelona. Former La Liga refs have even costately said that Negreira had no influence on them. 

Real Madrid beat Espanyol and narrowed the gap to 6 points with Barcelona. This was an important win for them. If they had lost this match, they would have left the league entirely to Barcelona. They made an important comeback in this match. Benzema was absent from the game due to injury, but Vinicius Junior did well.

Barcelona have been eliminated from the Europa League and are now struggling to win La Liga this season. In my opinion, they will not make mistakes in such matches. And they will beat Athletic Bilbao today in my opinion. Because Athletic Bilbao have lost consecutive matches in the last weeks.

Every Real Madrid player performed well against Espanyol. Real Madrid has performed very well as a team. Having conceded a goal in just 8 minutes against Espanyol, I thought Madrid would share the points in the match. Because teams like Espanyol aim to get 1 point against big teams. And they scored early in the match, and played a defensive strategy throughout the match. And so it became a bit difficult for Madrid to win this match. However, the great performance of Vini and Rodrygo resulted in Real Madrid scoring 3 goals in the match. And they secured 3 points from the match.

it's another one of those Real Madrid comebacks, we're seeing a lot of them from Real Madrid, but it's not a good thing about their defense, they shouldn't be conceding goals so early in the match, it could end badly if they miss a lot opportunities to score.

It is good to see that Real Madrid won that game. Otherwise La Liga would become too boring early during the season already. This way we can all be looking forward to the clasico and be excited about it.

For the sake of excitement I hope that Barcelona loses two points or perhaps all three points in a best case scenario. If Real Madrid gets the chance in the clasico to get really close to them one more time, I think the game will be much better to watch and both teams will invest much more into the game.

If Barcelona can keep the distance they would also be a fine with a draw in the game against Real Madrid. It's better to see them being in need for the full three points.

Real Madrid just met the expectations by a decent level of performance. They actually worried me by their start to the game. Espanyol started really fast and scored a goal as well. But this was still not enough to demoralize Real Madrid players later on. They stayed focused and fought for the win hard. They got efficiency from their big effort as well. It was lovely to watch them in the attacking line.

Vinicius Junior is a really valuable player for this team. He is showing this regularly. Rodrygo could have scored a nice goal as well if his free-kick didn't hit the post.

I heard the news from a while and I am not sure what could be the consequences, what risk Barcelona exactly? Points reduction like Juve? Dropping to a lower league?
I mean it is unlikely to see something like that happening and the worst scenario will be a fine tho.
Barcelona will have an away game vs Bilbao and the game will not be easy. Since Real Madrid won their game today, then Barcelona have to win to keep the nice gap they have until now.

The quality and experience of this Real Madrid side I think is the reason why they are playing good football at the moment but not all managers can utilize and rotate first team players like the way their manager Carlo Ancelotti is doing at the moment. He deserves some excellent credits and praises which I think he not getting from the media in particular and football fans generally. They eased past Espanol earlier today to remind Liverpool of the kind of opponent they will be facing in midweek and their message was really a strong one.

Yeah, another great win for Real Madrid. I think most people, I included predicted a Real Madrid win. I didn’t think Espanyol would prove to be difficult and it showed in the game as the game was pretty much dominated by Real Madrid.
I had initially feared that Espanyol would ride on the morale gotten from their early goal to score another one. But Real Madrid quickly turned the game around and went ahead to score 3 goals to win the game.

Vinicius Junior moves like Ronaldinho into the goal. His football is getting better and better. As long as he plays like this, the absence of Benzema will not hurt Real Madrid much. Nevertheless, Real Madrid needs a clean up this summer. Benzema is half absent, a solid number 9 is definitely needed. A right front is also needed, I think Bukayo Saka would be a good name. If two a class players are taken to the right and left back, it will be a good team next year. Real Madrid manages to turn the match comfortably even if it falls back when it wants to. They are quite different in CL, in a good way, but things are not perfect.

I heard the news in the local media if Barcelona was indicted by a Spanish court. Barclona was charged with bribing referees in the period 2011-2017. They accused the Vice President of the Spanish Referees Committee (CTA) of the period 1994-2018, Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.
It has not been proven to be true, but the prosecutor's office seems to have given sentences to Negreira and two Barcelona presidents Sandro Rosell (2010-2014), and Josep Maria Bartomeu (2014-2020).

In the end this is again a good thing for Madrid after their 2 matches were hampered in terms of goals.
After being shocked by the goal of his former player, Madrid continued to press and actually this condition is normal, but the 3 goals that were scored in this match were really very good to watch.

Celta vigo took three points at home against a tough opponent.  Vallecano are out of form and can't win games. Celta vigo took advantage of this and scored 3 goals to get 3 points. In the last match of the day, Valencia are 1-0 up against Osasuna. Most probably the match will end like this because osasuna also received a red card.

When Espanyol scored 1 goal earlier than Real Madrid, I was still calm because I am sure that the position will be exchanged soon. and finally Real Madrid was able to turn things around and lead with goals from Vini JR, Militao, and finally in extra time too, Asensio was able to complete 1 more goal. But it must be admitted that even though Espanyol lost and had less ball possession, they were still able to put some pressure on Real Madrid's defense and this was a bit of a pain. What's more, Real Madrid also put pressure on Espanyol many times, but missed several times. But in the end, Real Madrid still excel and win.

After Joselu's surprise goal early in the first half they started to bounce back and this was the kind of performance expected from Madrid. Even though right now they still can't get close to Barcelona because they will also still be playing and most likely three points but still the margin must be maintained so that this doesn't come back away.
