I was actually really surprised and sad that Real Madrid did not even try to get João Cancelo on the team. Cancelo could have been a great player for Real Madrid. I do not understand why they would not even look at Cancelo and play Eduardo Camavinga as the left-back. That is just absurd.

A lot of people are already saying that Real Madrid does not deserve to win the Champions League. Just because they did not try to get Cancelo on the team. At the same time when Barcelona is trying to make the team far better and stronger, Real Madrid is not worried about bringing in new players in the team at all.

Don Carlo is well aware that he lacks midfield players, because of that, Jude Bellingham's name was always linked with Madrid in the last January transfer window. but in fact, Don Carlo had to prepare the available players. I'm not saying that Valverde, or Camavinga played badly. it's just that, they need long minutes of play. and Ancelotti did that, but the result was not as satisfactory as expected.

Furthermore, Don Carlo has homework that he must take care of. like it or not, Madrid must continue to play Modric and Kroos as their pillars to help the front line or defend.

I think Benzema era is kinda gone with him winning Ballon D'or. I mean , he achieved anything he wanted in football and don't forget that age doesn't forgive anyone and as we know , Real tends to let players go at a certain age , especially if they have a replacement for him and Benzema already has a replacement for him. He is not irreplaceable but it will be hard for anyone to fill his empty goal whenever he will decide to leave Real Madrid.

Also , this season , all they got left is winning UCL again ..and for me seems kinda unlikely.

I think becoming the best in the world once was a big dream for Benzema that has come true. I also think he knows that he won't be able to repeat what he did during that season. That is just not realistic.

I don't know what Madrid's plans are right now and whether they are still trying to get Mbappe as well or whether that plan is fully put on ice? Anyone knows anything?

The loss against Mallorca surely was a painful one and it was a loss with very bad timing. It turned Barcelona's win into a 6 point game, which makes it even worse.

Xavi just said that Barcelona isn't the favorite for the La Liga title, but in all seriousness I think that is bs. Barcelona is definitely the favorite now.

I didn't watch the match but I was almost sure about what the outcome would be. The game against Al hilal is another story and it will be interesting to see, but I think that Madrid won't have any issues either. Anyway, taking the latest results into account, I can't vouch for Madrid anymore, just in case (especially after losing to Mallorca).

Al-Ahly was not a strong team. Relatively weak team. Real Madrid was predicted to win against them. I wouldn't even say that Real Madrid played very well. Because Real Madrid scored their last two goals after 90 minutes. A better performance was expected from Madrid against teams like Al-Ahly. But if Benzema was with the team then maybe the Real Madrid team could have performed better. Without Benzema, the overall performance of the Madrid team is already somewhat weak.
