It seems obvious that Athletic has many more chances to win the game: they have better players and have performed better to in La Liga (Cádiz is in the Relegation zone). But Athletic is suffering a very bad streak, with three losses and two draws in the last 5 match days (the last one versus Celta, who has been performing really bad all the past year).

Barcelona have a very good season in La Liga and make a lot of challenge to Real Madrid. Even Real Madrid did not become weaker but Barcelona become stronger and they are improving a lot since the past season.

Meeting Valencia which have their serious troubles is good opportunity for Real Madrid to have three points to continue their race with Barcelona firstly. Additionally, they will have good preparation for coming matches in Champions League in mid of February.

Valencia have so bad performance in this season which is totally opposite to what they performed in the past season. The appearance of Edinson Cavani did not help them a lot.

They have won 9 games in a row and one of them was against Real Madrid in the Supercopa 3:1. In the league it looks like they are slowly increasing their lead, currently 8 points. Lewandowski with 14 goals in 16 games is making himself to a hero in Spain this year, he is doing very well. And the Champions League starts again this month, Barcelona have to play vs Manchester United.
