Depay is still a Barcelona player although his contract is expiring next summer. As far as I know they have been thinking of letting him go in January. However if Depay doesn't find a club for himself then he would stay at least until the end of the season. Especially in times Lewandowski is absent, Depay would do a nice job in his position. Depay proved this before so I don't think he is a bad player now. His last season performance was average. He scored 13 goals in total.

As Lewandowski is out for some weeks due to being suspended Depay will be needed there. Hopefully he will continue to be productive to fill Lewandowski's place as good as possible.

In as much as I wanted Pique gone during the summer, it was a good thing for Barcelona he stayed. Every single Central defender in Barcelona got injured almost the same time. Kounde, Aruajo, Christensen. Only Pique and Garcia were the available CBs left. I think at a point Garcia even got injured.
With Pique gone, it means only Alba and Busquest are the old guard left in the team and Alba is pretty much still very useful. Busquest is also great but if they can get a very good world class DM to replace him then they won't miss him that much when he leaves.

Everyone has to go at some point. Maybe he will be released if he gets a good replacement. However, there are very few chances of getting a player with his quality.
