I also lost a bet on the Barcelona vs Espanyol match. The initial guess was that the game would end in a draw due to last season's statistics of Barcelona only managing a narrow win from two games, but was hesitant to press the option.

Barcelona had a better chance of winning against their rivals after Alonso found the back of the net in the opening 10 minutes of the first half (minute 7) thanks to Christensen's assist.

With this draw, Real Madrid continue to disrupt their concentration in the race to win La Liga this season. Their points (Barcelona and Real Madrid) are equal. But the next match Barcelona must play an away match against Atletico Madrid which is relatively difficult.

The advantage before 10 minutes of the match made the audience watching this match assume that Barcelona would win easily, moreover Barcelona could field their best squad in this game.
Lewandowski who is Barcelona's mainstay, was unable to do anything, the tension in the match was also very high which made the referee issue two red cards. The 1-1 score could not be avoided, Barcelona had to settle for sharing points in this match and Barcelona points were the same as Real Madrid.

I knew that after the world cup break so many big clubs will give us some kind of surprises that was why I was very sceptical about big clubs. But in English Premier League the first week after the world cup break all the big clubs delivered but this week Manchester City settled with one point so also Newcastle United .

Barcelona wasted many opportunities in the match to get 3 points. They are responsible for this draw as even after Espanyol had an equalizer and Jordi Alba was sent off, they still had some chances to find a winning goal. Lewandowski wasted one of chances in late of match.

The season is long and it is long time to claim the La Liga throne. Real Madrid have bigger chance after a bad match of Barcelona but you are wrong. Barcelona did not lose that match, they had a draw and lost 2 points. A draw is not a defeat.

Both team now have same total points, 38 but Barcelona have a better goal difference. La Liga 2022 - 2023 is a dual competition between them because they have 9 points more than a third team, Real Sociedad.

Benzema can still make two goals which is very good after he's recovered from his injury.

When I look at the strategy nothing is wrong with that, because the ball possession it was as expected, maybe this time Barcelona's attacker is the problem, seem they don't to focus to execute the ball when got from the center, Raphinha and Lewandowski have the moment but could not take advantage the opportunity, while Ansu Fati, I think this guy still have the problem on how to shoot and convertion the ball, he is not very effective last night.

there were lots of unnecessary fouls and 1 point and Alba's red card in this match was a loss for them.

the players obviously has not adapted with each other yet, those names seem really good especially against a team like Espanyol, but there is no spark between them as teammates, they still need some time to adapt with each other, this draw is kind of bad because it was in Camp Nou against what i can call an average team, but talking in points it is not as bad, hopefully we will see them play well as a team, that's what they really need now.

barcelona had to settle for 1 point and lost a few points in last night's match because they really didn't play fully, on the other hand real madrid got 3 points and won the match against valladolid thanks to a goal from Benzema, currently barcelona and real madri have the same points in the top of the standings will make it look interesting to fight for the top of the standings as well as very fierce competition

Barcelona and Real Madrid are level again. Still a big disappointment for Barcelona. They are still in first place, but not winning at home against fellow townsman Espanyol is of course a bad start to the 2nd half of the competition. Too fast to judge. Real Madrid also won their game very late by 2 goals in the last 10 minutes. It has also shown how important Benzema was to Real Madrid. His absence the last 2 months had quite an effect on the team.
