I agree, and I foresee that this will be a very even match between the two teams. Athletic de Bilbao could lose their third position in the ranking, while Atlético could claim their (expected by many) position: let's don't forget that in the first page of this thread there is a poll, and only one member voted for Athletic (Other) to win La Liga, while 13 voted for Atlético de Madrid.

Stats are 39% for Bilbao versus 32% for Madrid. This will be one of the most exciting games till the date this season.

Almost everyone will really only be concerned with Real Madrid and Barcelona. They are evenly matched and the championship is again exciting compared to last year. What other teams do below that will only really interest the local fans. Atletico Madrid are no longer the team they were a few years ago that started off a rocket when they became champions. They almost gave away the championship that year, when they were about 13 points ahead of the winter break. This year they only have a supporting role. If Atletico is 3rd they have done well. Even for today's match against Inter I'm sure all the main players will continue to play, because this is the only way for Barcelona to win and to have a chance to qualify. Because if this result Barcelona loses by Inter then the chance to qualify will be lost, just like what happened with Juventus. Real madrid don't have squad that their name trends everywhere but they are good on the pitch, they are like players that don't come out to boost about themselves and some of them are underrated giving them more chance to proof themselves. While the barça team have good quality of players but most of them are volatile to injury and some of them one time injury might be probably out of the season.

I think Barca's problem is not only related to players who are prone to injury. So far, the victory that Barca got did not come from a strong team. whether consciously or not, Barca only collects their wins from teams that are quite weak. Barca's performance at the moment I guess we have to see it in the UCL.
And when faced Madrid in the El Clasico, I didn't expect Barca to win. Madrid will take advantage to get rid of Barca from the throne.

Barcelona now needs to beat Inter Milan more than a win against Real Madrid. Failing to get 3 points against Inter Milan will make it almost impossible for them to qualify for the knock out round. Barcelona's players will now have a better understanding of how effective they are in critical situations. Barcelona has built the team by spending a lot of money. However, I don't think their performance is very good.
