Barcelona would have still won easily even if Elche didn't get that red card. They aren't one of the teams that can stop Barcelona in Camp Nou these days. I know that Barcelona drew with Vallecano here before but it was the beginning of the season. As of now I don't see many teams that can steal even one point from them. It might happen only due to a tight fixture maybe. Because there is a really tight one waiting for all teams due to World Cup in November in the end.

Verdu's getting a red card has made things much easier for Barcelona. Lewandowski scored two goals so far in the match. After the Bayern Munich match it is good to see him improving his performance. But the team need him more in the bigger and more important matches. Maybe he had some problems on playing as usual against his old team.

This win will make Barcelona the leader temporarily. Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid derby will be eyed closely. This is going to be the first big test for Real Madrid in this season. Because they have played against weaker teams in the league and Champions League both so far. Atletico Madrid aren't a very consistent team maybe but Simeone knows how to play more effectively against big teams in the league well.
