It was really an unbelievable match to me. I was expecting Real Madrid to win maybe but this was really huge. I didn't expect them to perform themselves only and not to give literally any chance to Real Sociedad. Really, Real Sociedad didn't have any shot beside their goal. Real Madrid had one of their best performances in this season so far without any doubt. They got a solid 4-1 win here. And they are eight points ahead of Sevilla now. Sevilla have really no chance for the title as they are not even consistent at all.
It's true for Sevilla second place is already a very good achievement, but it would be a pity when in second place did not try to reach first position.

I don't remember a moment in this La Liga season where Ancelotti rotated most of the players who started in tonight's game. The only thing that forces most players out of the squad are injuries. I don't know how far he is willing to risk, but he probably knows what's best for the squad.

Real Madrid has now 8 more points more then Sevilla and i dont think Sevilla can do something to overtake them after yesterdays draw.
11 more matches to go, that's potentially 33 points. The gap is only 8 points. So it's still too early to say. Madrid is more getting away from Sevilla...Even though Sociedad scored first in the 10th minute, that didn't stop Benzema and friends turn down, it only spurred them on to score more goals. Benzema performed well in this match by contributing 1 assist and 1 goal.
The thing that Sevilla were afraid of its happening got real and Real Madrid have increased the point difference with them by two more points. Sevilla didn't even beat Alaves yesterday.
