It seems that Messi is still unsure of his move because it will not necessarily shine like Ronaldo who has left more Real Madrid and looks brilliant now CR7.
But could Messi be in a situation like this? of course Barcelona will also defend it for the benefit of the team if it really happens out of Barcelona of course this will make Barca down its performance.
Messi will be shining anywhere if you mean so. He is still the best player ATM. However the performance of Barca is getting poor because they are not generating back up for the players. Imagine, Iniesta is missing in the team but Barca is yet to generate the back up. That's how they are getting poor performer.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
It seems that Messi is ready to leave Barcelona next year.
I guess that will be a rumor only at the end of the day. Messi is too loyal or loyal milker or whatever and will be the same for couple of more years. He will never leave Barca IMO. Nevertheless, leaving Madrid of Cristiano had no impact on La Liga TBH, but if Messi leaves La Liga, that will be have an affect.
Who still thinks that Barca will win the title? I see the POLL is saying so  Cheesy

Today match Atletico Madrid vs. Mallorca looks like a sure home win, but odds are to low for me to take any risk.
4 players are out for Mallorca.
I put my trust in Atletico Madrid...
although statistics show that in Atletico's last 15 home games they have never lost but Mallorca cannot be underestimated by Atletico, a slight mistake can embarrass Atletico at home.

Messi is outraged by the situation at the club because important information is leaking to the media,  and he doesn't like club president Bartomeo.

It seems that Messi is ready to leave Barcelona next year.
Lionel Messi had done a good than worst for the club, it's high time he expand his football career just as his rival is doing, doing that would only make him feel joyous and experience new style of plays of different leagues.

He just stopped negotiations for the moment, that's all. There is 1 year left in his contract and they could (WILL) renew it for sure.
Nor Barca want him to leave nor Messi can guarantee that he will be as important in another club as in Barca. He in fact risk being useless (like so many other players) and end his carrier early. Just look how many trophies 1st Argentina national team has with him, yeah nothing.
There is no best club for Messi except Barcelona from the beginning until now. Even though he has the desire to defend his childhood club, but not for now or next year and we never know whether it is just wishful thinking. Many speculation are circulating about the status of Messi contract with Barcelona which will expire soon, but this will only be an unhealthy food intake because eventually Messi will remain a barcelona icon for a long time. Did not in the previous years the same thing also happen with the conditions of the messi contract ?

I am curious and thrilled at the same time just seeing this news that La Liga is dead serious in expanding its presence in North America. To be honest I am really not well versed with the Spanish soccer ( I am asian so my focus is at my own country's team and that of our powerful football neighbors South Korea and China) but I played football in high school and watch plays by Real Madrid and Barca. I'm thinking if La Liga will extend its reach to American viewers, does that mean they also need to create a sub-division like La Liga American teams? I mean the Latin american countries has lots I mean lots of love for football and there is no shortage of great players there but U.S. and Canada? Maybe there is hope.

yeah, this one seems like a really easy one for Atletico, and they will secure their CL spot with this win, but i think that they are thinking about this year CL tournament, since this could be their chance to lift the trophy in Lisbon, with one match in each round, there is no clear favourite and, IMO, Atletico is the best underdog to lift the trophy this season, will see in a month

It started good for Espanyol as they scored first goal, but second half was all Real Sociedad with final score 2:1.
I expected to see surprise win, but I guess I was wrong and they are going out from La Liga soon.

Real is on course to win the title this season, despite his weak showing against Getafe, he managed to get 3 points. Now Barcelona is suffering so much that it cannot make good offers as before! I think Zidane will destroy Bilbao in the next round to maintain his progress in the ranking ladder, and we also have a real test for Barcelona against Villarreal.

Barcelona has a tough game against Villarreal this week, if Real beats Bilbao they will really put Barcelona under a lot of pressure.

There's more and more talk of Messi being furious with the club and I have to admit I really cannot understand their recent transfer dealings. Latest rumors are saying that Messi will not extend his deal beyond next season and since he and Bartomeu are in constant disagreements, the impossible might happen this summer and maybe they will look to sell him to get some value out of that deal.

Still too early to say but Barcelona has a lot of problems - both on and off the pitch.

Wtf...  Real is leading the table with a game to spare?  Trofo!  I shouldn't have paid you our '10k USD' side bet early!  Lolol.  Cheesy

Don't worry mate I operate on fair level and you will get your money back if Real manages to keep their advantage. That was my intention from the moment you paid in case something like this happened and reason while the bet is still mentioned under neutral trust. Told you not to pay before final whistle is blown had a feeling there will be a twist before the end  Grin

I know we should concede Real win but I still see light at the end of this tunnel:P

Of course there is still the chance. Real isn't playing so good but they are winning. For Barca to have any chance Barca has to start playing much better, probably with a new coach since a lot of things is problematic in dressing room and they can't change the players.

Even when Real play bad they can still win. They must be so thankful to Sergio Ramos these days who suddenly knows how to score from penalties and open play, the only good side I can see is they got 5 yellows in that match so it was high tempo and hot tempered.

I know we should concede Real win but I still see light at the end of this tunnel:P

Will Madrid go on to lift the Spanish La Liga in Zidane return as manager ?
I think Real Madrid should have a big chance to win La Liga trophy. Only 5 matches left and they already against the strongest team (Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla), also they now are leading with 4 points. It is enough as the reason to win another La Liga trophy with Zidane. Now, Real Madrid only needs to play consistently and shows the best performance.

5 matches left for La Liga trophy
1. Athletic Club vs Real Madrid
2. Real Madrid vs Alaves
3. Granada vs Real Madrid
4. Real Madrid vs Villareal
5. Leganes vs Real Madrid

>Real Madrid must watch out Villareal's current performance.

4 points I think is enough for Real Madrid. As long as Real Madrid really haven't suffered two defeats in the last 5 matches, it's really ridiculous actually and could have happened. Personally, I remain confident for this season that Real Madrid will lift the Spanish league trophy.

Barca remaining games aren't very hard except maybe Villareal one. Real Madrid has to win at least 4/5 of the remaining matches. Every failure from Barca side is welcome of course  Wink

His goal tally would surely be close to Messi's if he was given the role of taking penalties too  Cheesy
Indeed. And it deserves to try.
If we looked at his penalty history, he actually has a good track record to take penalties. According to transfermarkt, he has made penalties scored 15 times, and only missed 2 times. If the coach gives him more time to take penalties, I am pretty sure that he can improve his ability to take a penalty. Then, he also can have a chance to be the top scorer in La Liga.

From the list above, we can see that Karim Benzema can be more productive to score in the past two seasons. And even he has a chance to overtake Lionel Messi as there are still some matches left. This never happened while Ronaldo was at Real Madrid.  Grin

When Ronaldo was around, football rotated around him including spot kicks and free kick. One of the things I loved about him was he knew how to position himself in that center forward position whenever it was necessary. Benzema would play more like a midfielder than a Center Forward.
