It is a classic and a Derby and anything can happen. Bilbao is not what you call arguably call a stable team in terms of the result versus weaker rivals and this is a very peculiar game that you can compare to Real Madrid - Athetico de Madrid or a Barca - Espanyol. There is a clear situation to place the bet on the underdog, as, for me, it makes for a higher chance of winning the hand.

It's a fifty fifty chance once more, I'll always say this when I know the favorite can win easily.
You see at the home, Rayo Vallecano has a very good form, I have followed them closely ever since the season kicked off.
But, Madrid wants all three points, they have to fight to get it.
I can't predict a winner here.

As for the Vallecano v Real Madrid match this week, I think that Real Madrid are definitely very close to winning this match. Some members on the forum indicated that Real Madrid stumbled against some easier opponents in the past and that's a really good point. But truthfully, I still don't expect a similar thing to happen here. Real Madrid are having a great season and this is their biggest chance to win the championship. They should lower their mistakes to minimum to do this. And they can start with defeating Vallecano here.

Real Sociedad has beaten Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey 2-0. They also made a 2-2 against RB Leipzig in the Europa League. I definitely think that they have a fair chance to compete for the international qualifier ranks. They also have one game less than the top teams. If they keep on scoring a solid number of points I think they will make it into the international qualifiers pretty certainly. Atletico isn't stable and the other teams below Real Sociedad aren't either obviously.

Real Sociedad are a good team, and they could have been at the top of the table if they had been regulars. They are not regular and often surprise us by losing points against a relatively weak team. If they can perform well against weaker teams and are able to score full points, they still have a chance to be in the top four of the table. For this, they must be stable.

The benzema effect is truly a wonderful thing. Benzema turns Real Madrid into a different team. Real Madrid needs a Benzema-style football player these days. It's one of the matches where I think Athletic Bilbao might edge Barcelona yet again, maybe by a 2:1 Barcelona's attack has improved a bit, but the same can not be said of their defense.
