I totally agree with you. A legend like Xavi is needed to experience young players. At the same time an experienced player is needed from whom they can learn during the match. Barcelona left Messi without getting a replacement. It was their fault. Now they should look for at least one experienced striker in the forward.
Xavi is a legendary player but it does not mean that he will be able to share his experience and skills he has to young players. Also, it is different and not automatically mean he can become a good coach. Teaching, training is hard but managing players and other things in a club as a coach is harder.

I wish Xavi the best and wish he will success with his mission but it is uncertain in my opinion. I wish young players in Barcelona can learn many valuable things from Xavi.

The realisation is quite difficult with the circumstances of Barcelona for now. They had financial difficulties, even they made the wrong decision in Koeman's time. Xavi came in the hope that there would be improvement, but it seems difficult if they don't add some players (as you said). Unsusanable situations, perhaps management should immediately try to find new investors to improve their current circumstances.

I visited the la liga santander site and immediately noticed the video highlighting the young players of Barcelona. I don't know how you would call that but I see it as a PR thing for the club. Don't get me wrong. It's not really a bad thing to help promote the next generation and keep fans excited or hopeful for the future despite news of big players leaving.
promoting academy players and providing opportunities for young players to enter the main squad, is indeed the best step for xavi as a coach, but in my opinion barcelona should also buy experienced players, senior players who have been in the league for a long time, to increase the mentality of the team, all young teams can learn from their seniors, to be able to train their mentality, because playing in a big club we have to prepare great skills and a strong mentality..

Right now xavi has a pretty tough job to get barcelona back on track like it used to be, and i think xavi now will try to optimize the existing young players even though combining it with some senior players, the limited funds available in my opinion will be more burdensome xavi to bring in senior other players, especially those who play as strikers at this time and I think it's better for Xavi to try to orbit some players who are in Barcelona B into the main squad, apart from not requiring big money of course Xavi will not be too difficult to make them adapt with Barcelona current style of play.

@asus09, I totally agree with you. A legend like Xavi is needed to experience young players to train properly. At the same time, an experienced player is needed from whom they can learn during the match.
Barcelona left Messi without getting a replacement, the team is looking like a lion without mane. It was not Messi's fault it is Barcelona's fault. Whatever happened, Now they should look for at least one experienced striker in the forward, otherwise I can't see any future of them.

By the looks of it, Barcelona will want to start the new year with a winning streak, with them doing "better" or basically others doing worse, they are at a good advantageous spot right now. Not saying that sociedad will end up losing more and more, but there is a good possibility. I agree with D-law that betis may end up losing points as well, which means there is a realistic chance that Barcelona could be second in the league.

I know that most people may consider "so what?" on something like that in any other year but this year it is obvious that they are not doing something that is regular and this is why it is definitely a different situation to be in. I am hoping for the best, but some stuff will change in the league for sure. Imagine things shaking where Barcelona moves from mid table which was crazy enough to second place, that will cause a lot of trouble for other teams for sure.

I think any club wants to start/continue the winning streak. The problem is that someone loses anyway. At the moment, I do not see any advantages for Barcelona that would allow it to start confidently beating everyone and fighting for second place. It is much more likely that Atletico Madrid will emerge from the crisis and soar to second place - they have a good lineup and the only thing they need is to simply get out of a bad streak.

Dembele refused to reduce wages made by Barcelona and forced Barcelona to have to release Dembele now, in addition Dembele, barcelon also to releasing Coutinho and Samuel Umititi who have high salaries, Barcelona had to do so that they could register Ferran Torres and Dani Alves to the La Liga authorities.
Yes. Barcelona failed to get an agreement for Dembele's contract extension, he seems to leave Barcelona in the next transfer window. Umititi, Coutinho, and even other players probably do the same way (not agree to reduce their salaries), they may ask to be released as well. I can understand why those players don't want to reduce their salaries, it will be used to buy new players. I think Barcelona is a little bit strange, why they force to buy new players if they have no money? Reducing current players' salaries isn't a wise way to gain money, it is not an acceptable way and seems not to respect the current players.
If Dembele, Umititie and Coutinho leave the team, Barcelona will not suffer much. They did not play well in the Barcelona team. I have not seen their contribution to any achievement of the team. So if they leave, Barcelona will be able to take in an experienced player. However, as Dembele and Coutinho are performing, they should have stayed in Barcelona to reduce their wages.
Except Dembele I think Samuel Umtiti and Coutinho are player less minutes getting in Barcelona few years ago and left team right now is the best way for them can get more minutes with other club and have chance get qualify to world cup for his country. Right now Dembele will not extended his contract with Barcelona and has chance to sell on January window transfer if Barcelona want to get much money becuase waiting next year Dembele will be free transfer player.

Samuel Umtiti and Coutinho must be immediately sold by Barcelona, besides their high salaries, Umtiti and Coutinho's contribution is far from expected.
Then regarding Ousmane Dembele, his performance is actually quite good at Barcelona, but the problem is that Dembele is injured too often.
So it's detrimental to Barcelona, after all, Dembele's contract is ending soon and until now there has been no agreement regarding Dembele's
new contract with Barcelona management. Knowing Dembele's contract will run out, many big clubs are starting to tempt Dembele to leave Barcelona.
Quite a lot of media have reported that Juventus are in a leading position in the hunt for Dembele, according to rumors Juventus and Dembele have
reached a verbal agreement. It seems that with Barcelona's unsanitary financial condition, hard to convince Dembele to stay. So it is better for Dembele
to be sold in the January transfer window, rather than releasing him for free at the end of the season. If it's true that Umtiti, Coutinho and Dembele
can be sold by Barcelona, this could provide additional money for Barcelona to buy new players in the January transfer market.

If tomorrow Valencia can win the match against Espanyol, at least Valencia will move up to 4th place maybe it will only be entertainment for them at the end of the year. However, Espanyol's performance so far this season also looks quite good or at least can balance Valencia's gameplay for tomorrow's match. But even so, the record from Espanyol's away matches so far this season was not good enough and also, Valencia dominated head to head. That way, it looks like Valencia will be able to take advantage of the moment at the end of this year to get full points.
In head to head it is clear that currently valencia is superior to espanyol, from the 12 matches they played in the domestic league, valencia managed to win over espanyol as much as 10 wins and 2 draws, but if you look at the current competition in the standings, it's definitely a match will run quite fiercely, espanyol who is ranked 11th currently only has 5 points difference with valencia who is ranked 8th, and the match is an opportunity for espanyol to return to the middle table and the same time decided the bad record they always achieved when dealing with valencia.
Maybe there is a slight error from the data you get because if I look at their 12 matches, from the records I get Valencia can only win 8 matches and 3 lose and 1 draw. Although indeed, Valencia still dominates but considering Espanyol is difficult to win when playing away against Valencia, then I personally really believe Valencia will be able to win today. The head to head factor is not in Espanyol's favor and also, so far this season Espanyol has been one of the worst teams when Espanyol play away, so I think that's enough for me to make a choice on today's bet for Valencia to win.

Valencia's performance is very stable compared to Espanyol. I know, Espanyol is a good team, But the truth is they are not able to maintain continuity. I've seen some matches, they are Losing one is winning the next match. This is how they are performing irregularly.
Valencia's performance, on the other hand, is relatively good enough. They have not lost in the last 9 matches. So I don't think they will lose today's match either.

Edit: Bad luck for Valencia, their first loss after 9 unbeaten match in a row Valencia 1 - 2 Espanyol

Now it remains to find out what Barcelona's rivals and competitors think about this, because they, too, would not mind moving to second place or even first place Grin But speaking seriously, I am impressed that Barcelona is taking active actions to overcome the crisis, including in the transfer market, and if everything is done correctly, then such actions should lead to success. Another question is that no one guarantees this and Javi Hernandez has no similar experience of correcting the situation as a head coach and Barcelona is taking a huge risk to aggravate the already difficult financial situation. Talking about the fact that Barcelona, in case of failure, will be able to rectify this by arranging a sale of players should not cause unnecessary illusions, because everyone should perfectly remember the recent situation when the club could not sell its players at a good price for the sake of extending the contract with Messi.

...Nobody is bigger than a club, thatd to say that, whosoever is feeling too big to reduce his/her salary he should be leg go off, simply showing no sign of loyal for the club.
Loyalty is a thing of the past for most of the current breed of athletes in all sports. Each club cannot force them to take a cut. Some players are willing to sacrifice while others are not since there are still other clubs with more cash willing to take them in. It's the reality today and we just have to respect that.

Rayo vallecano isn't in the right form to hold in to that position firm as top 4~
Do you mean Rayo Vallecano has no many quality players to defend the top 4?
You aren't wrong, if we compared their squad with Atletico Madrid or Barcelona, Rayo Vallecano squad seems not as strong as them. Although players' quality cannot guarantee to win in the match, mostly the team who have more quality players that have a bigger chance to win.

~just like that as athletico may not have the ability to score and earn much points against them.
Not sure what you mean. But Atletico attackers are strong enough. They should have the power to beat Rayo Vallecano. Moreover, the upcoming match will be at Atletico home. Atletico players are probably to have more motivation to secure 3 points.

I hope to see Athletico Madrid come strong next year, they should be well prepared for Manchester united during the champions league.
Having bad results gor the past three to four games in tje la Liga games they have played.
Since the loss of Luis Suarez to injuries, they're not at there best no more.

Real Madrid are going to be targeting Getafe next time. This is not a big obstacle for them obviously. Real Madrid have dominated the league so far and they can maintain this for a long time as it seems. Because they really don't have a serious competition against them for now. The toughest opponent for them might be Sevilla. But the rest of the teams are in a much poorer condition. Even Atletico Madrid are in a bad shape. I believe that Getafe will be losing this.

Now after this break we are heading for very important time of season with many teams are having the worst time like Real Sociedad is currently at bottom of league in form and Atletico Madrid is also near them with four loses in a row on other side teams like Barcelona, Valencia and Villareal are improving their form they are also heading for spot in next European season if Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid want to stay in touch then surely they need to give some better results otherwise with very good start they are going down and having no chance for fighting back and teams like Barcelona and Valencia are going to achieve their targets with late approach and having good results on crucial time of season.

Now after break Barcelona have 2 very easy matches before going to face Royal Volcano, hopefully they will do their best for good results.
