Sevilla resisted them very well which deserves to be appreciated much. Sevilla wasted a big opportunity to decrease the point difference with Real Madrid to 3 too but it is still 5 now. As long as they fight till the end, they could have a chance for the lead.

Sevilla will not be able to close the points gap with Real Madrid this season. As the days go by their points distance from Real Madrid will continue to increase. Sevilla's performance in the last few matches did not look good to me. The players have lost form. The players of their attacking lineup also performed poorly against Atletico Madrid. Although they won, but they do only 6 shots.

Sevilla and Real Madrid seem to be in the same phase, the two teams are both only able to bring home 1 point from their last game, so it doesn't change the distance of points in the standings. I am more interested in watching these two clubs in Week 19 of La Liga, where they will meet the teams at the bottom of the table, Real Madrid vs Getafe and Sevilla vs Cadiz.

Barcelona again achieved negative results after successfully holding sevilla to a 1-1 draw, initially I thought barcelona would lose again in that match, but they were lucky enough to get 1 point at home to sevilla, even though barcelona was 1 goal behind, but they managed Evening the score through Dembele in first halft , actually Sevilla played quite well in that match, but the red card received by Jules Kounde made Barcelona control the match in the second half, even though they were superior in number of players but Barcelona failed to win in that match and kept them in the rankings 7th with 28 points now.

I thought that was a good draw. It was an excellent performance from Barcelona. The Catalans deserve to win, it was a draw, but we can already see Xavi working with the team, so I see more positive outcomes. They played with more confidence today than they did before, at least a little bit. Many people were expecting Sevilla to win easily, but that wasn't the case. If Barca had all their players we would have beaten them by a wide margin. Currently, they need a striker and a defender, so hopefully they can find them when the transfer window opens.

Under Xavi so far with just six games to his name, Barcelona have lost just once. Barcelona played some really impressive football against Sevilla, regardless of the facts that they were away from home, i feel they should have gotten all three points if they had not just been unlucky.

Without the injury troubles Dembele is a phenomenal player and he showed to all today the reason why Barcelona should extend his contract. if Xavi plays him and Ansu on the flanks, with a few addition to the team upfront in attack and in defence when the transfer window opens, Barcelona will be Barcelona again without Messi.

I also bet on Sevilla and I am angry now. Not because the bet was lost, but because of the disgusting result - as a result, both teams lost points. Only Real Madrid has benefited from this result. It would be good if Sevilla was at least formally competing with Real, but it seems that it no longer has the strength to stay close to it. La Liga teams overall performance nowadays are different from the past for sure and as you pointed out Sevilla wouldn't be second if Barcelona and ATM performed as they did in their peak.
Honestly except Real Madrid (partially also), the other teams are way out of their form and Barcelona is the most affected imo.. They just did a favour for Real Madrid by letting Sevilla lose 2 points. A perfect result for RM and bad one for both Sevilla and Barca.
