The team lost 1-0 to Real Betis in the La Liga match, finishing 7th, just 13 points behind league leaders Real Madrid. There is plenty of work ahead for Xavi at Barcelona. For the final result from Barcelona to me nothing surprising, 0-1 defeat seemed a reasonable result because even I was among those who were not convinced by Xavi's performance. While many of them expect Xavi to return to Barcelona's best form, I personally don't believe it because there are many factors that will make it difficult for Xavi to return to Barcelona's best form. But for me, the surprising result came from Atletico, How could Atletico let their guard down in the last minute of the game so that Mallorca can score two goals in at least the last 10 minutes. It was a result that should not have happened and by doing so, it was clear that Madrid would be stronger and more comfortable at the top of the table. I have think Barcelona will loss in this match because they really playing with less regular composition player, De Jong and Pique miss as first starting eleven player maybe give rest time play with Bayern on middle week and become life or die match should win. They not have option faced with Real Betis with not full team as starting eleven player composition because champion league match become life or die match to make Barcelona pass or not from group stage.

I don't know if at this stage as a coach you can even slightly consider to give players like them a rest time. They are real professionals and Barcelona will even miss the Champions League qualification for next year if they keep going like this. It is just not the Barcelona anymore that we all once knew and this will take years or even a decade to bring them back into shape and form a squad that is absolute world class. Right now Barcelona wouldn't even get players like Haaland because they are not competitive anymore.

it doesn't matter if they get to the 7th place or 10th as long as they are not in the relegation zone, what matters is qualifying to the champions league but even that seems impossible, we probably won't even see them in the europa league next year, I knew Betis will do something the Camp Nou and they did not just get with a draw they even won, Barcelona is drowning in bad results and it's really really bad.

Real Madrid managed to secure the top position of the standings after beating Real Sociedad 2-0. Luka Jovic managed to become man of the match in this match despite coming on as a substitute in the 17th minute to replace the injured Karim Benzema. One assist and goal make Luka Jovic night very brilliant how ever he got chance playing at the early minutes after Benzema injury and he can change position left by Benzema with perfect performance, maybe if Benzema get serious injury Jovic will be starter on next champion league match against with Inter Milan.

Real Madrid kept the 0-2 and won against Sociedad that showed that they arent capable of attacking the title.Real Madrid got some important points in this match plus both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid lost in their matches and now have 10 more points more then Atletico and 16 over Barcelona

This game showed how weak is barcelona defense when facing a strong opponent like betis who are doing an excelent season and they managed to take the third position i think new players are needed on the next window transfer if xavi want to build a strong team he needs some defenders and some good strikers.
