But if they want to play well in both La Liga and the Champions League, they will lose both trophies.

In my opinion, for Real now the key moment is the strength of the middle line and everything is fine here. If the middle line plays stronger than the opposing team then the attackers have more chances to score and their qualifications are not critical, at the same time the pressure on the defense is weaker so even a not very strong defense can cope well. As for Bale, he is really good, but his qualities are not very well suited to the game of Real Madrid. He is super good in counterattacks when you need to run quickly and overtake the defense of the enemy trying to get back, but Real rarely plays in pure defense with a bet on counterattacks.

Alaba is a good defender. We can think of him as a replacement for Varane. But Real Madrid could not fill the place of Ramos. Ramos is an extraordinary player. If he is in the team, the players of the team can rely on him. They know that Ramos will do his best to repel the attacks of the opposing players. And since Ramos is very aggressive, the opposing players are a bit scared when playing against him. Real Madrid did not include Ramos in the squad because Ramos is now 35 years old.So he may not be able to maintain his fitness. Real Madrid is playing well and scoring a lot of goals, but I would say Real Madrid still needs players like Mbappe. Karim Benzema is 33 years old. He is still showing great gameplay. What a great performance from Real Madrid against Celta Vigo! They literally obliterated Celta Vigo by 5-2 with a superb performance. Benzema is still continuing to carry the team. He made a hat-trick in this game and got one assist also. And the new transfer Camavinga also scored only 6 minutes after he entered the game which was great to witness. This will increase their self-confidence and improve their morale a lot before their Champions League game.

Of course this is not the best news for Barcelona. Losing a player due to injury is a big loss for them and this will have a bad impact on the upcoming matches. I hope Koeman can make the most of the existing players to get through some of the games that await them both in the Champions League and in Laliga. It's a big nightmare scenario for us all at Barca. Fati is still not yet 100% as he needs full match fitness, and now Braithwaite will need at least until February and then also match fit maybe March. So we now need to make sure we somehow are not so far out of top 4 and still past Champions League group stage and get our youth playing at the end of season.
