Atletico lead looked so big, but few bad games and things are getting interesting again.
Draw and loss against Levante is something surprising, but it had to happen sooner or later. If you follow Atletico games more closely, this season they had many similar games. They struggled against mediacore teams several times, but managed to score on last minutes. Atletico defense was phenomenal on the first half of season, but now they conceded goals 7 games in a row!
Levante managed to win 2:0 with just 1 shot on target. And this shot was to empty net, like in ice hockey or handball.

It's just that Koeman was unlucky to take the reins of the team at a bad time. There is an expression that such top teams are not called 2 times, but I am not sure that Koeman should have agreed. Barcelona is experiencing a transitional moment of time and the game problems have overlapped with the problems in the management and vice versa. but Levante's attack was very effective. With fewer shots on goal than Atletico Madrid, but being able to score 2 goals is a wonderful thing.
And the most amazing thing in my opinion is the performance of the goalkeeper from Levante who made 10 saves. Then Real Madrid's victory
against Valladolid made the difference in points with Atletico Madrid even closer. Then the opportunity for Real Madrid to become champions is open now.
Athletico should know Barcelona and Real Madrid are not raising surrendering hand this fast, and they have started to drop point and their closest rivals for the Spanish Laligaare not going to slow down on closing the gap, I think levante where more clean on goal scoring chances than athletico Madrid and the win is deserving of their play

I'm shocked aswell as who could've predict something like this ? Levante beating ATL.Madrid with 2 goals when they barely had any shooting towards the goalie ... . I had ATL.Madrid over 12.5 corners and both team to score and they ended up with no goal and 12 corners...speaking of bad luck. Then if we take statistics only, the score should've been 4-2 or 5-2 and this points that ATL lost today will count a lot for the race of LaLiga winner.
Such defeat shouldn't happen, not vs a team in the mid-table. Their next 3 games are vs Villarreal, Real Madrid and Bilbao...good luck winning them and keeping the first place if they will continue like that...

The result of Atletico Madrid-Levante was too shocking. I don't understand how the hell this match ended 0-2 despite Atletico's superb performance. Sometimes teams can have nothing to do against such situations. 28 shots, 11 on goal but no goal... On the other hand, Levante got 6 shots one of which was on goal and it was in the net.

Yeah. I'm also hoping Madrid or Barcelona would close in the gap between title leaders, Atlético Madrid. There's nothing I love more than a closely contested title run. Atlético Madrid has been pretty shaky over the last couple of games. Started from that Celta Vigo game earlier this month. If Madrid wins Real Valladolid later tonight, they'll cut Atlético's lead to just three points.

I think it is fitting for the supporters of Barcelona and Real Madrid to thank Levante and his two meetings against Atletico Madrid. Levante managed to make Atletico lose 5 point in the last 2 match. The first meeting was a draw and managed to win the match in the second match. The match ended 0-2 for a win for Levante.
Last match Atletico Madrid draw and tonight defeat by Levante, I think good news for Real Madrid and Barcelona make not have left different points right now, but have note this week Madrid and Barcelona have fully get three points if wanna get chance more close with Atletico Madrid and candidate to get La Liga trophy become most competitive again. I don't agree with you. The chance to win is still there, I think Madrid should take advantage of it. For the La LIga Champion, there are still -+14 match remaining and there is wide open to catch Atletico Madrid's points. Against Valladolid was a good warm-up and I think they have to win, Zidane has a better squad. Then for UCL Madrid still have two games against Atalanta, they will definitely work hard to win. Despite many injuries, I believe Zidane has an alternative strategy. Apart from that I read that Eden Hazard could play against Atalanta next week.
The more matches to be finished, the chance to flip on the table and win La Liga will be smaller for Real Madrid and Barcelona. Football is open for surprises but it requires Real Madrid or Barcelona to finish their left matches excellent and with the mandatory condition that ATM will lose lots of matchesTo catch ATM, it need lots of conditions to happen in La Liga. In the last season, Real Madrid made us surprise to win the title but Barcelona themselves made us surprised too. They fell down too easy and gave the chance to Real Madrid. ATM if are too greedy and want to win all La Liga and Champions League, and if they win and go too far in Champions League, they might lose all. Sacrifice La Liga with few matches to bet all resources for Champions League. Then lose the Champions League and lose all at the end.
It happened with Ballack and Leverkusen years ago. They wanted to have tripple titles but at the end, they lost all and ended in second position in 3 competitions.

Real Madrid also need to abandon the Champions League, letting Atalanta go ahead. Real Madrid has no chance of winning the tournament this season. Too many injured players. And injuries do not stop. It won't happen. Right now, ATL Madrid has the 1st chance of winning LaLiga this year and they will remain favorites as both Real and Barca are not having a great year. Today, ATL.madrid playing against Levante, a team who's always hungry to score goals but on the other side of the pitch we will have ATL with their stone-cold defensive style that will probably make the game very hard for Levante. I'm hoping to see some goals as I don't care who wins.

They haven't always needed to score from the strikers alone is the reason it was never such a big problem for them, and even if you look at Ramos who put away a huge portion of their goals in recent seasons, I guess they never felt they were in such a big hole as long as their AMs continued to perform. Haaland may not have been the same if he came either. Remember, he needed to be unlocked and who can say Zidane could do it?
