Villarreal lost against Betis in a home match 1-2. They got 4 draws consecutively before this match and they got a surprising loss now. There is a huge decrease in their performance lately. And there is a very tough game waiting for them vs Athletic Bilbao this weekend also. If they don't get a win in that game too, then they will be really weak in their game against Atletico Madrid.

Zidane tries to keep convincing his players that there is still a chance to win the league even though he is still far behind with Atletico Madrid. A win is what Zidane want and at least it will keep him in the capital team longer. Being in second place will not be considered a form of achievement. Barcelona will play Cadiz on February 21 and I hope they can learn from their previous mistake with the same opponent.

Real Betis is so inconsistent this season that I probably should stop betting on games where thay're involved. I had stake on Villarreal win tonight and surprisingly, Betis won away. And they are slowly getting up in the table, already 4th and 3 points behind Villarreal.
On Monday, there is game between Cadiz and Athletic, these two are hardly predictable teams too, but I tend to give advantage to Athletic.

The laliga league just got really competitive. No dulling on the sides of either teams, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. The great whites had a very good game today and they used there home advantage quite well to secure all 3 points though, Valencia weren't all that competitive during the game. They never posed any serious threat for the Real Madrid team and Madrid ensured they dominated the game having over 7 shots on target with Toni Kroos tactically delivering an assist and scored a goal while Valencia could only have a shot on target. A 3 point well deserved and they continue to hold there place as 2nd on the table still.

Real Madrid haven't been making any mistakes for 3 matches. I wonder whether they will keep it up. Barcelona really seem like they won't lose any game. They are insanely good now and I am having difficulties in predicting which game they will really struggle and lose points. Atletico are like always and they are still the best team in La Liga in this season.

Madrid won convincingly today against Valencia. I was hopeful they'd win and they did so comfortably. Winning today means they've moved closer to Atlético that also won their game on saturday. Just ~5 points left to get on par with Atlético but that gap can be extended further if Atlético win their two outstanding matches. Madrid is finally looking like they can go up against the title leaders and compete for the title which is something I love to see in the la liga.

With this win Real Madrid back to 2nd place which had previously been taken by Barcelona. In the 60th minute, Real Madrid also scored the third goal, unfortunately, the goal scored by Mendy was disallowed by the referee because he was considered offside.

In this match, Real Madrid played really well, and I think if they have played a little more calmly then there will be a third and a fourth goal.

I don't give any chance for Messi to stay at Barcelona this summer. He is really decisive in leaving the team and it seems very likely that we can see him at PSG or Manchester City in the next season. Anyone who has played Football Manager knows the fact that when a big club wants a player they have to pay a lot more than anyone else. Let's say you are Barcelona, and there is a good player in Valencia, and you want to buy that player, Valencia will ask minimum 30 million euros for him, but let's say same exact player is not wanted by Barcelona, but wanted by Bilbao, they will ask 15-20 million for the same player.

It is always harder to be a bigger club because everyone thinks you get paid a ton of money anyway so you should be paying more for the same player than any other team. Which means if you make few bad transfers, you are going to overpay for bad players and it is going to ruin your finances. Hell I had this problem in a GAME, I can totally understand how it could be possible for them in real life, of course they will recover from this financial situation, but I think it is also quite understandable.
