Agree with everyone above, even as a Barca fan and supporter, this is the jolt of reality that we have finally needed. Real did not even need to win last night as we just lost it all to Osasuna of all teams.

End of the Messi era needed to happen, we kept relying on him and this is how it ends. And I said it I think many months ago we needed to drop badly and not win anything to learn, maybe this will now come through.

Well done Real.
It's a bit irony to see during these years that clearly messi carry Barcelona alone, yeah that is true , try to deny this.
Then when Messi transfered out or get retired.. who's gonna carry Barcelona?
Some people says .. these guys will do :

Job done at real madrid Hazard, come back to chelsea anytime you want.

@slaman indeed this was a rude wake up call for Barcelona, and in Victor Font (candidate for Barcelona’s presidential post) words Barcelona risk becoming the next Ac Milan or Manchester United.

Quote

The Liga club could follow the fallen giants from Italy and England and be unable to compete for major European honours, unless changes are made

Furthermore he’s correctly highlighted that Corona effect will mean, that Barcelona will be unable to spend huge amounts of money in the transfer market. Therefore in my personal opinion Barcelona should improve on their man management skills, otherwise they’ll be unable to challenge for trophies next season too.

But do you really want to say that referees showing wrong red cards and doing other mistakes intentionally? It's serious accusation.
don't bother replying to people who make such claims (rigged games) without having proof, it's a waste of time  Wink  plus it's not like this user is going to engage in any type of discussion, he always makes a post in X or Y thread then quickly dissapears lol

I hope he will soon be fired by Barcelona management because it is one of those who can be blamed before they start the UCL competition. He is to blame for Barcelona final achievement in the last few matches.
idk man, at some point fans and even the Barca board need to understand that kicking managers out of the team this quick is never the solution. Changes need to be made starting from the very top, then the squad also needs new blood, also the guy who makes the signings, Abidal, is also to blame for many terrible decisions, etc, etc

Few month ago I never thought that this year's champion would be real Madrid. Congratulation to Real Madrid for this great success.  At the beginning of the season, I've seen their performance was not so good. But end of the season they are now champion. I can remember that I saw a news about, Messi said '"we will lose against Napoli, if we play like this". Now Barca lost and Madrid is champion. I hope  Barca will change themselves and will give us some good game at next season.

There was lot of said about Barca already, but I just want to share great article by Rafael Hernandez. He described current situation in Barcelona better than anyone else. Great content from him like always:

What happened ? Rigged games mate, nothing unusual in LaLiga this year as this championship has become so hard to watch and enjoy with all this referees doing shady games. Besides this 10 rec cards, did you saw the clearly offside of Leganes goal ? It was at least half of meter outside the play and they still validate the goal after 5 minutes of digging that goal. And then we go to premier league and we see clearly palace penalty in 1st half when VAR did not even looked on it ...what a day in football lmao.
I haven't watched other games than Barca - Osasuna and Eibar Valladolid, so I can't tell something about other matches. But do you really want to say that referees showing wrong red cards and doing other mistakes intentionally? It's serious accusation. I don't think so. IMO, it's because of their level. From top leagues La Liga probably have worst referees. Still, with VAR situation improved a lot. I remember that before VAR, they were making huge mistakes every matchday. Penalties, offsides, disallowed gaols, wrong red cards - they were making wrong decisions so often. Now it's significantly better.

I'm back after celebrating until the wee hours with some friends on Zoom lol   Grin Roll Eyes

Did you guys know Zidane has won 11 titles as a manager and averages 1 title every 19 games? (Source) He's among the best managers in the world right now, period.
~snip~
I agree with you that Zinedine Zidane is the best menager in the world today, even in my opinion he is the best manager of all time.
As we all know he can win three Champions League finals which cannot be done by any coach.

I hope that Real Madrid can keep him until he retires as a coach, among all the coaches who handle Real Madrid, only Zidane makes a tremendous difference.

Zinedine Zidane is the Laliga boss this season and he deserves this achievement because of his focus and concentration. Congratulation to Zinedine Zidane, congratulation to fans, congratulation to Real Madrid.

I am a Barcelona supporter but must be downcast and must acknowledge the greatness of Real Madrid who are currently having fun with their titles. Regarding Setien, I hope he will soon be fired by Barcelona management because it is one of those who can be blamed before they start the UCL competition. He is to blame for Barcelona final achievement in the last few matches.

About FC Barcelona, a journo said there was meeting today, possible that Setien wil get sacked before champions league, but nothing's set in stone so far.

Congratulations to Real Madrid for winning the title.
They totally deserved it and Barcelona showed again that they were very bad this season.
I hope that next season they are going to be more competitive.

In fact,  Barcelona was first in the league before corona crisis starts and I really expected they will endure until the end and become  champion again.
But,  when La Liga started again,  Real was much better and won all matches.
In Barcelona only Messi and Tier Stegen played as expected, and rest of the players didn't support them enough.
With only 2 players on the top level you can't become champion.
Congratulation to Real!
Well deserved titule.

Real Madrid deserve the championship title but what happened to Messi and Barca? Messi still performed well and he carried Barca last match. The second conceded goal of Barca is terrible. What kind of a terrible cursoy defense and honestly I can not imagine that a professional defender can act like that.

The era of Messi will come to the end soon (just next few months and I don't believe that Messi can have good forms after next 4 seasons). He will still can play well but not as a top player and won't be able to carry on Barca like he has done last 3 or 4 seasons. Remember that before the era of domination from Messi and CR7, top strikers often score less than 30 goals per season. Messi will be able to score around 20 goals in national league (whatever) each season for sure.

Congratulations to Real Madrid and Zizou for the great come back. As well as congrats to Karim with his first season (with a title) as a key striker for Real Madrid.

Finally, I have to congratulate Real Madrid for their extraordinary achievements this season. They have made supporters happy even though Laliga still has a few matches left.

Barcelona was very disappointing after Laliga was postponed due to a pandemic. They lost a lot of point and looked weak in the back area. I really have no doubt that they will be able to win Laliga if it is not stopped because of a pandemic. But thats football, we dont know for sure how it goes even though on paper Barcelona can be seeded because of the quality of the team.

Mine vote was also for Real Madrid as this season belong to them they done great job under Zidan and now next stop is Champions League where they will outclass Manchester City great team with great win hopefully next season could be more good as rival Barcelona is crashing badly and need some good time to settle things.
Congratulations to Real, they had a very good league season, especially in the few remaining games after the restart, and it was the most crucial time, any slip ups would have been costly, we saw how Barcelona dropped vital points to hand Madrid the title, you do that, and you can't be champions. If Zidane can now keep the team focused and united, i think Madrids time to dominate Spain again is here; that being said Florentino Perez should make sure Zidane stays this time Grin.

City are eyeing their first UCL, that makes them a dangerous opponent to anyone they face in the competition this season, imo, City will go through, not Madrid, they have a good goal scoring record at the Etihad, and they go into that 2nd leg with two away goals already, it will be too difficult for Madrid to turn around.

Many still believed that Barcelona would win this season according to the poll.

Almost all the votes from Barca is way more old and some of them aren't active here anymore. No one but Zidane have had the hope of the title at the beginning I guess.
I don't remember when I cast my vote for Real Madrid too but I believe it is very old when the team was still struggling.
Barcelona dropped in performance and with its oldies players among many other problems, they can't go too far.

Next round gonna be tight for Europa League spots, Villareal > Getafe.
Celta Vigo is lucky to face Espanyol at the end while Leganes will face Real Madrid. I don't think there will be a big changes in the last 5 spots except Celta advancing maybe due to goals difference?

Big congratulations to real Madrid, I will not say well deserved some months ago or back at the first half of the season but with many slips for arch rivals Barcelona and benzema form the turned it around now they are the champions, Madrid nees to work on themselves as a team if they are to retain the title, as for Barcelona better luck next season.

This is a well deserved La Liga triumph for Zidane Real Madrid side; and wining right at the santiago bernabeu makes it even more glorious. Now the team attention will be swung to the Champions league tie with Guardiolas's City. Barcelona continued their shambolic run of play with a loss at osasuna; it remains to be seen if Setien will remain the manager by the end of the season

Of course, I trust  100% that Real Madrid can win the trophy this season since I know that Zidane became the head coach. In my opinion, he is the best coach in Real Madrid forever. Anyway, well, we must celebrate this victory even we are the fans only. Sorry for Barca fans that the last match Barcelona got losses from a small team. But I know that Barcelona players have done the best with total 17 shots in that match.  Wink

Maybe many Barcelona fans out here. However, the victory isn't determined by many or less of the fans but how good the team's performance in this season. Real Madrid once again showed to people that they are still the best in La Liga, sorry for Barca fans. We are the winners this season!!  Grin
