I don't think Casillas will be as goal keeper coach for madrid, if he want to be a coach, maybe he will refuse current offer from madrid. He can work with Zidane to bring new era for Madrid from other side. I think this collaboration will be good since they are already work together as players in the past.
Is Cassillas isn't old enough to keep? Every player has a good playing period, I think is not time for Casillas now, he is already old enough to get as much in Madrid. Every club looking on for a new and experience players/goalkeepers  to get in club. Well, I'm not in board of directors plans but their must be a reason for Casillas to come in.

Maybe in the future Casillas will be the coach of Real Madrid.!!
the fact that he decided to take an administrative role right now rather than getting a UEFA Pro Licence that allows him to be a professional football coach makes me think that he has no desire of becoming a manager, at least not for the time being.

Some la liga legends who took this course not too long ago: Xavi, Raul, valdes, and many more. (source)

it's actually pretty common to see former football players with a role in a football club that doesn't involve being on the pitch, look at Nedved in Juventos, or Maldini in Milan, Abidal in Barcelona, Edwin van der Sar in Ajax, etc, etc.

Few month ago I never thought that this year's champion would be real Madrid.
No one did, lol. Not may be Zidane too Cheesy Before the pause of La Liga for the pandemic, Barca seems to be the champion but after La Liga resumes, Barca lost the rhythm totally and lost points at a row which kicked them out from the competition.
Well, I was kidding about Zidane. He is a great manager after all. Otherwise, it wouldn't be easy to win the La Liga title with such a team. You can't deny that Madrid don't have a perfect scorer yet.

Great news for all sincere Real fans!

After 5 years of exile in Portugal, and after he was literally kicked out of his beloved club Iker Casillas finally returned to help as a consultant, maybe as a future coach, too?  Grin
What do you think?

It's good to see Casillas work as a club assistant again after his absence for 5 years, I think it would be a good addition for a club, We hope to watch Casillas, who is very close to Zidane!!!Maybe in the future Casillas will be the coach of Real Madrid.!!

I do not get it, dude was almost getting fired after amazing success in previous years and at the mid way of this season (before pandemic stuff) he was almost losing his job, that is how much untolerant these team owners/presidents are these days.

We all remember that Zidane was almost getting fired this year right? It is not me that just read those news? And what do we have now?

Another championship for Real Madrid. I wouldn't call him one of the best managers in the world right now, he has been doing this for like 4 years at best and that is why I think he still has few teams and a decade before we can call him a great manager, or maybe I just have a high bar. However when you are manager of Real Madrid, that is kind of the point right? You should be winning La Liga, it is either you or Barcelona almost every single year, so it shouldn't be a shock that he won it.

Exactly, my thought are the same. I think he is quite an average manager and that there are so many managers that are much better then he is, but I will have to wait 5+ years from now to be right. Lots of people will not agree with this, but I'm 100% sure that Zidane is just a manager in a sea of managers.

It's a bit irony to see during these years that clearly messi carry Barcelona alone, yeah that is true , try to deny this.
Then when Messi transfered out or get retired.. who's gonna carry Barcelona?
Some people says .. these guys will do :
Job done at real madrid Hazard, come back to chelsea anytime you want.

Haha very nice one EdenHazard;) I lived with a lot of years of joy to watch Messi and others give us many titles, so I must be able to accept it when we are in defeat. As Messi himself says we are currently a weak team, so we have to give plaudits all around to those who deserve it. I even say Atletico and Sevilla and others with their resources play so much better than us sometimes.

Messi carried Barca and Argentina many times, we have to let him rest.

I guess OP is over exaggerated on Zidane being the best manager of all time, even Zidane can't claim that yet. No doubt he's good,  few people expected Madrid to win the league this season, ever since Ronaldo left only few have hope in Madrid, the title wining shows Zidane can do it without Ronaldo
I don't think there will be the best manager of all time hehe!
Zidane was lucky enough with Real Madrid but he didn't try managing other teams in different big leagues. By doing this and doing some important achievements then he may be one of the best managers in the world!
The end is attend for La Liga tomorrow... When the next season will start?

Did you guys know Zidane has won 11 titles as a manager and averages 1 title every 19 games? (Source) He's among the best managers in the world right now, period.
~snip~
I agree with you that Zinedine Zidane is the best menager in the world today, even in my opinion he is the best manager of all time.
As we all know he can win three Champions League finals which cannot be done by any coach.

I hope that Real Madrid can keep him until he retires as a coach, among all the coaches who handle Real Madrid, only Zidane makes a tremendous difference.

If Zidane is the best manager of all time, what is Alex Ferguson then? Best manager beyond time and space of all times?  Grin

Congrats to Real for wining the title as expected by me personally even though there was no penalty on Ramos to be fair, Real deserved to win and to take the title.

In my opinion, Zidane is the best coach in the world right now as no one even looks closer to him. What I'm asking myself , can we see the same crazy games in LaLiga2 tonight as they were last night in LaLiga, with a lot of red cards , goals and big surprises ? I guess we will find out pretty soon haha.

Messi gave the fairest interview last night and he admits that barca need a stronger team with stronger players but it's his fault also that he doesn't want to play with Griezman in team...so yea...big karma hit barca this year.

He is a great coach, but best coach of all time? He needs to win more titles and Championship finals to get that title.
Real also had a great team this year with 2 top Belgium players (Courtois and Hazard).

Agree with everyone above, even as a Barca fan and supporter, this is the jolt of reality that we have finally needed. Real did not even need to win last night as we just lost it all to Osasuna of all teams.

End of the Messi era needed to happen, we kept relying on him and this is how it ends. And I said it I think many months ago we needed to drop badly and not win anything to learn, maybe this will now come through.

Well done Real.

@slaman indeed this was a rude wake up call for Barcelona, and in Victor Font (candidate for Barcelona’s presidential post) words Barcelona risk becoming the next Ac Milan or Manchester United.

Quote

The Liga club could follow the fallen giants from Italy and England and be unable to compete for major European honours, unless changes are made

Furthermore he’s correctly highlighted that Corona effect will mean, that Barcelona will be unable to spend huge amounts of money in the transfer market. Therefore in my personal opinion Barcelona should improve on their man management skills, otherwise they’ll be unable to challenge for trophies next season too.

But do you really want to say that referees showing wrong red cards and doing other mistakes intentionally? It's serious accusation.
don't bother replying to people who make such claims (rigged games) without having proof, it's a waste of time  Wink  plus it's not like this user is going to engage in any type of discussion, he always makes a post in X or Y thread then quickly dissapears lol

I hope he will soon be fired by Barcelona management because it is one of those who can be blamed before they start the UCL competition. He is to blame for Barcelona final achievement in the last few matches.
idk man, at some point fans and even the Barca board need to understand that kicking managers out of the team this quick is never the solution. Changes need to be made starting from the very top, then the squad also needs new blood, also the guy who makes the signings, Abidal, is also to blame for many terrible decisions, etc, etc

Few month ago I never thought that this year's champion would be real Madrid. Congratulation to Real Madrid for this great success.  At the beginning of the season, I've seen their performance was not so good. But end of the season they are now champion. I can remember that I saw a news about, Messi said '"we will lose against Napoli, if we play like this". Now Barca lost and Madrid is champion. I hope  Barca will change themselves and will give us some good game at next season.

There was lot of said about Barca already, but I just want to share great article by Rafael Hernandez. He described current situation in Barcelona better than anyone else. Great content from him like always:

What happened ? Rigged games mate, nothing unusual in LaLiga this year as this championship has become so hard to watch and enjoy with all this referees doing shady games. Besides this 10 rec cards, did you saw the clearly offside of Leganes goal ? It was at least half of meter outside the play and they still validate the goal after 5 minutes of digging that goal. And then we go to premier league and we see clearly palace penalty in 1st half when VAR did not even looked on it ...what a day in football lmao.
I haven't watched other games than Barca - Osasuna and Eibar Valladolid, so I can't tell something about other matches. But do you really want to say that referees showing wrong red cards and doing other mistakes intentionally? It's serious accusation. I don't think so. IMO, it's because of their level. From top leagues La Liga probably have worst referees. Still, with VAR situation improved a lot. I remember that before VAR, they were making huge mistakes every matchday. Penalties, offsides, disallowed gaols, wrong red cards - they were making wrong decisions so often. Now it's significantly better.

Zinedine Zidane is the Laliga boss this season and he deserves this achievement because of his focus and concentration. Congratulation to Zinedine Zidane, congratulation to fans, congratulation to Real Madrid.

I am a Barcelona supporter but must be downcast and must acknowledge the greatness of Real Madrid who are currently having fun with their titles. Regarding Setien, I hope he will soon be fired by Barcelona management because it is one of those who can be blamed before they start the UCL competition. He is to blame for Barcelona final achievement in the last few matches.
