So for the first time in my life, I placed bet on Real Madrid and guess what Real Madrid lost their first game at home this season. I mean seriously! WTF! That Real Sociedad kid was scoring goals like fun. One of his got disallowed else he almost got the hat-trick. And Odegaard, well what to say about him! He's class apart. Norway's future is bright with Haaland shining in Germany and Odegaard playing invincible football in Spain.

Well, now I know how to help Barcelona win the title. I just have to bet on Real Madrid in every game and Real will lose the match! Cheesy Trick is working.

Getafe will face Valencia today in a hard game for both teams, well the difference between 2 teams is just 2 points with getafe leading with 39 points, so Valencia will search to win in this game to exceeds Getafe, I will bet for two teams to score in this game.
Your bet is very good because I feel this match can end in draw as well Valencia is also doing good in recent matches and Getafe is playing at home so any result can happen but goals surely coming through from both teams for me both teams to score and over 2.5 are really good bets for this match.

Indeed Zidane top priority is La Liga imo. Giving chance to other players is necessary but he may underestimate his opponent too. If I was in his place I may done the same tho.
I watched Barcelona game which turned to be a huge surprise. They risk to get sacked from all competitions if they will continue like that seriously

100% agree Zidane needs to win this league because every season Barca continues to win it, they (Real) risk digging even deeper into the cycle. I've really enjoyed the Barca/Messi cycle but football must give way soon and I fear it slipping away, still, football is round and I'll always support them.

But I don't get you, which game are you referring to? Yes, they haven't been playing as well as they should all the time but they're still in contention for all cups still in play, unlike Real.

A strong team doesn't mean they'll win. The team that win is stronger. At least that's what Tsubasa told me.
I can agree a bit with Tsubasa. As far as I know, the team that is serious and has better strategy + spirit in a match, will probably win the match. So, even if Barca/Madrid are big teams, they can be defeated if they are not really serious and have a low spirit in a match. Moreover, if the coach applies the wrong/bad strategy.

You must be joking if they don't want to win the matches.
I don't make a joke. It was in my opinion since they didn't set all the best players in the match. This can be the big factor to lose when they underestimate the opponent.

I wouldn't say that rest of core players was a risk, because it would undermine the supposed players effort, and abject the efforts of the coach.
Every players need rest, Madrid lapses were exposed because the players brought in to help, performed woefully, exposing their inabilities to break into the top 11.

Substitute, or bench players are expected to make an impact whenever they are called upon, but Real Madrid reserves flopped their lines. It is equally a good lesson, as Zidane would realize the need to encourage the bench players more, before reshuffling the squad by summer.

I wonder what are the odds that Messi is going to leave Barca? Lot's of speculation after his bust up with Eric Abidal and apparently he can even leave for free at the end of the season which seems insane that that can even happen. I think going for free is pretty much going to be the only way any other team could afford him. Get him for nothing and just pay him an insane wage. The question is, will he sign another deal and stay and if not where will he go?
Messi will stay with Barcelona and if he make his decision to leave Barcelona, it will be very at the end of his career and I believe his destination will be somewhere outside of the Europe. I believe Messi won't want to play against Barcelona (that he will to do if he choose another European club).

There are always ups and downs in mood, on the pitch but Messi loves Barcelona and the club has also given him so much (medical treatment, titles - both team and personal, Ballon Dor', Pinichi, etc.). I understand how dissapointed Messi feel recent season and with the latest scandal with Eric Abidal but with his loyalty and love for Barcelona, he will stay there.
Quote
I guess one of the Manchester teams will be the likely destination and United could certainly do with a striker right now but they're not exactly the big name draw they once was but Messi would likely change that. City is more probable to me but I just can't see him leaving Barca as he's played for nobody else and maybe he just wants to cement himself as a legend there.
He has been a legend in the club and will be a legend even if he leaves. Nowadays, it is barely to see loyal players but for Legendary players like Messi, he won't leave the club.

I think if he leaves the fans might turn against him
Ultra fans will do terrible and unpredictable things if Messi leaves Barcelona.

Well a long time ago he did say he wanted to return to his local club in Argentina when he's near the end of his career but I don't think he's commented on that in a while. I agree that he's likely to stay at Barca though and he certainly has more reasons to stay than leave, but this is football and there's not much loyalty these days, especially when you start to fall out with the staff and you're one of the biggest stars on the planet. There's a lot of money at stake here for both parties and money talks and players walk. I know he's a Barca legend already but maybe he wants a change or a new challenge. Maybe a lot more money could tempt him away as it does many others, or maybe he doesn't care about the cash. I think it's worthy of discussion though because this is probably the first time that Messi's contract can actually expire and the thought of him going for free is insane. A big reason why he's likely never left is there's just very few teams that could afford him or would get their money's worth out of such a huge transfer.

At the moment Barcelona have a lot internal difficulties and problems so I felt that they will have problem in this match.
Even if Barcelona has an internal problem, it shouldn't be a factor of losing on the match. We all know that Barcelona is a big club and has a lot of quality players. If they focus and serious to win the match, I am pretty sure they can win the match. I prefer to say that they are not lucky in the match.

Zidane didn't send the best players to play and as result they lost.
This is a bad way to treat the opponent. I don't know why Zidane feels too confident and think that it is not a big match. He will definitely regret this decision.  Sad

I agree with you that players should always focus 100% on the match but right now it's not the case with Barcelona players.
If players are not focus and there is no team unity usually final result is bad as we could see.
It's strange to me why Zidane didn't send the best players to play but he will surely regret it because they just lost chance to win this competition.

But at least to rotate the player must see who his opponent is, Real Sociedad is a club that has a good player.
Moreover, this is a crucial match to advance to the semifinals, maybe it is better to rotate the players at the COPA when it is still the start of the competition, not when the match is near the semifinals and finals.
I don't think Zidane would survive getting sacked if he won Copa Del Rey but failed to win UCL or Liga.
It's very clear that Real Madrid's top priorities were laid out to Zidane to take home  either UCL or La Liga after that heavy spending in summer. To me the rotations where quite understandable.
You don't want to risk injuring more players to a much less tournament yet there is still some much better silverware to win.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills

I still can't believe it, both Real Madrid and Barcelona are defeated by small clubs tonight. What's wrong with them? Do they think Copa Del Rey trophy not necessary to be achieved? We know that basically they could win the matches.   Huh

it was a very disappointing game that real Madrid played, they lost by many goals, it seemed that real madrid had no players in defense. Would I accept if they only conceded 1 goal and lost the game, but conceded 4 goals? I was very disappoint. about Barcelona, it was very sad, I even felt sorry for Barcelona, having conceded a goal in the last minute was something frustrating

Real Madrid is indeed lacking in defense so many conceded in yesterday's Copa match already signaled that weak defense needs to be fixed so that it doesn't happen like that again.
It was very painful for Barcelona because it had lost in the final minutes Messi and his friends were not able to score even one goal so bad luck on him.

Copa del Rey semi finals:

(source)

LOL we could have Granada vs Mirandes in the final!  Grin  And if Mirandes were to win, they'd qualify directly to the Europa League! Remember that they play in the 2nd division  Shocked

It just didn't work for the top clubs tonight.
Especially for Barcelona. They played with their best starting XI (except Griezmann), while RM used the subs like James, Brahim, Militao, etc  Roll Eyes

I don’t agree with people saying that is was bad luck as an own goal scored in the extra tjme decided the game.
Yeah, bad luck would be conceding a late goal by a deflection. This was simply poor defending from Barca, plus they also wasted a couple of clear chances in front of goal.

I think if he leaves the fans might turn against him and this would be bad if he ever goes into management if he ever wants to return there. Since Barca will lose out vastly if he goes for free I'm sure they'll just throw a load more money at him in the hope he stays and maybe this is all just a ploy for him to grab a bigger wage increase without having to leave.

I don't know whether there was injuries but neither team seemed to have their strongest line-ups out. Maybe the Spaniards are starting to treat their domestic non-league cups like they're becoming in the UK where teams don't seem to care about them that much or at the least field weakened teams. I still think it's silly that Bale isn't even on the bench for Real Madrid. He needs to leave ASAP.

I thought I would win easy money yesterday by playing both Real and Barcelona but Barcelona lost my and many other people tickets.I don’t agree with people saying that is was bad luck as an own goal scored in the extra tjme decided the game. The fact is Barcelona was not capable to score and is a rare occasion where I see Barcelona not making it in the final of Copa del Rey.

You must be joking if they don't want to win the matches. They're not going as far as Liverpool by playing their U23s side. Both of them were just 'unlucky' as some said. Or they're not good enough to win the match.

Best result possible. We knock out the guys who knocked us out of the other Copa, and Real somehow found a way to lose after playing so, so well. All the reports say they lost in majestic form and to be honest I thought the 3rd goal was offside, and VAR helped overturn the first goal, so good. We prevent Real from getting the quadruple haha.

I said yesterday one of them would go out. Happy it's not my team!
