Being the oldest player in Madrid is a big challenge for Modric, especially since he is rumored to be retiring after his contract ends next year. So far I really like Modric's performance, he is really able to bring the game to life and Ancelotti really loves him. As a midfielder, Ancelotti really trusts him to help Mbappe, he is a very important player and I see he is quite familiar with Bellingham.

Modric has quality in the midfield as a rhythm maker so his presence can help Real Madrid dominate the midfield.
However due to his age, Modric is no longer playing full time because Ancelotti is preparing a replacement for him.
Modric's presence can also help strikers because the beautiful passes he gives are very accurate so it will be much easier for strikers to score goals.

Mbappe's presence will make the Real Madrid squad stronger so that next season it will be much easier for Real Madrid to compete in any competition. Although it is not certain that his presence will be able to defend the Champions League title.

I'm admiring Modric's ambition honestly. Every time it feels like "That's it! Modric is going to leave and retire.". But in all those times, he proves me wrong. His energy never depletes which is impressive. I'm saying it again anyway. I think this is going to be his last year at Real Madrid for real. But he will add more to his memories with probably new trophies too.  Smiley  He is one of the best midfielders in history in my opinion.

.This is good news, friend  Cheesy, and to be honest, I am also happy to hear the news that Modric's contract has been extended and I personally think that Real Madrid still needs a professional midfielder like Modric and in my opinion, Real Madrid's decision to extend Modric's contract until June 2025 is certainly a good thing. It's good, yes, even though Modric is no longer young, of course his performance is still good and I also think he is a good midfielder.

and indeed he is very suitable to be captain because he has experience in the world of football so of course he will be able to manage everything and of course it will make team cooperation better and with Mbappe of course he will have the potential to complete his contract at Real Madrid in June 2025 and I'm sure Modric will end his contract at Real Madrid with beautiful memories because of course with the squad that Real Madrid currently has, Real Madrid will definitely have great potential to win La Liga and UCL at the end of the next season.

Of course I want to congratulate Modric who will now strengthen Real Madrid again and honestly I don't want to see him retire quickly and I hope that he will always be given good health. Of course we won't know whether this is his last year with Real Madrid or not, but we'll see and of course we will enjoy the coming season and we will look back at Modric's impressive performances.

I am happy to see today news because Luka Modrid has been given one more chance to stay with Real Madrid this season. Of course, after Toni Kross announced his retirement, of course Real Madrid lost one of their best players, but with Luka Modric surviving on a contract for the next 1 season, of course the fans weren't too disappointed because they could still see a player who was full of experience in the Real Madrid team this season.  .
Apart from this, Real Madrid also still has plenty of time to recruit other players, although this is not solely to place him in the position left by Toni Kross. Because currently Real Madrid still has more substitute players for this position so it won't have much of an impact on Real Madrid even if Toni Kross is no longer part of the Real Madrid squad next season. Apart from that, all Real Madrid fans have also acknowledged the greatness and experience that Toni Kross had when he was still playing for Real Madrid, the last time being last season.

As a matter of fact, I love who Modrich have become of himself. He as really built a strong career to himself and have find a way to love his current situation with the Madrid team because he's a game changer for them and always knows how to stabilize the younger players as well as the squad. I'm sure most Madristas will be happy to have Luka Modrich back to the fore and will look forward to his performance in the next season. Well, I'm not a Madrista but as a lover of good football, I'm also excited for the Madrid club as well as Luka Modrich for remaining with his club in this new extension of his contract.

For this reason, I really hope that Barcelona will soon rise from its downturn so that El Clasico will be even more interesting. The rivalry between the two makes the competition for the La Liga trophy even more competitive. Last year Real Madrid managed to dominate Barcelona in El Clasico and also in the title race, this is very natural because Barcelona condition is unstable. Barcelona is still trying to make improvements to its squad in order to improve its quality so that it can compete again with Real Madrid. Mbappe arrival to Real Madrid should increase Barcelona's motivation in building its strength to return to the championship ladder.
The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona have actually maintained some interest and competition in the la Liga over the years. Whenever there's a fixture for both teams to meet, it's a whole lot in the la Liga such that even those who aren't regular la Liga supporters do want to have a glimpse of what it's going to look like. But in the past few years, the dominance has resolved around Madrid and Barcelona is just still trying to fix up so as to get in shape and hopefully they do soonest and bring back the competition of dominance in the la Liga as anticipated by all.
In other words, Barcelona must be able to maintain its existence as one of the rulers in La Liga, so that the El Clasico match will remain interesting to watch. Despite the financial crisis and all kinds of limitations they may face, Hansi Flick is expected to be able to manage Barcelona to compete with Real Madrid next season. Of course, this is not an easy job as Real Madrid currently has a more ideal squad, but in my opinion only Barcelona can apply consistent pressure at the top of the standings. Atletico Madrid, Girona, Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao seem to only be able to apply pressure temporarily, they need great luck to be able to compete for trophies next season.

I see the competition between Real Madrid and Barcelona has ended when the difference between these two teams is too big. The "El Clasico" between Real Madrid and Barcelona attracted the whole world's attention, but at present, everything will be too easy to speculate when Real Madrid is so much better than its opponent. No more Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Real Madrid is now a perfect team with a series of stars under the stable leadership of Carlo Ancelotti.  As for Barcelona, they are struggling with a new coach and an unstable squad, because they can sell their stars, but it is difficult to bring in quality contracts. Simply because their finances and economics are very unstable. To overcome this period of decline, I think Barcelona needs a very long time.
There is no doubt that Real Madrid will dominate La Liga. Unless new Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick is a genius.

Here we go!  Grin  Modric has extended his contract by one more year with Real Madrid. He is the new captain from now on as well.
Finally, it's clear enough how Modric will be.
And congrats for him to be the new captain, he deserves to be this in Real Madrid. At least, he has the time until 2025,
After that, we still don't know whether he will follow in the footsteps of his friend Kross or not.

I am sure that Carlo Ancelotti, being a born strategist and someone who understands the dynamics of football very well, already has two or three replacements in mind.
Real Madrid's signing campaign is surgical, he goes to buy exactly the piece he needs to make his strategies work, he doesn't go and buy at random.
Surely Carlo Ancelotti is ready for that and has special reasons for making him captain. Modric is the oldest and longest player at Real Madrid right now, he has very good qualities too, especially in the era when he was still young, it cannot be denied that his contribution is also very extraordinary. Emotional maturity and how other players respect one of Real Madrid's legends can also be a consideration.

Oh ya, anyway, Barcelona reportedly will no longer hunt Kimmich as has been reported recently. Barcelona have decided that they will not sign Kimmich this season, unless he goes to Barcelona on a free deal. Barcelona is enough sure with this. but, is it possible that this will happen?
Meanwhile, there are several other clubs who also want Kimmich, like Liverpool or others. Well, this should be a surprise if this really happens and let's check for the next news then. Previously, Bayern Munich wanted €50m for him and Barcelona quite objected to that amount.

Source: Kimmich won’t join Barcelona this summer

I just think losing both Kroos and Modric in the same season will be a big set back for Real Madrid. I use to think they won’t feel their absence since the younger players have already understood the game too now and have played with them several times but I was all wrong. Every team still needs a leader no matter what and that’s the role left for Modric to play for Real Madrid now.

I always knew Madrid will feel the absence of Modric and Kroos. It would have been better if Kroos stayed and Modric left in my opinion. The kind of midfielders Madrid have right now, none of them can feel that Kroos role. Camavinga and Touchmeni may try but they won't be able to. Velverde and Bellingham can't also play the Kroos role. The good thing is that Ancellotti is still around and being the master strategist he is and also very good at man management , he'll getbtge best of them.

Arder Guler is a player that can replicate Modric. He's not as good but he has the potential, so it's a good thing Modric is staying so he can have one more year to learn from him. Guler and Diaz are currently the only pure attacking midfielders that are playmakers that Madrid has and if they are properly developed, they might turn into the new Ozil ans Di Maria for Madrid.

The situation for Ronald Araújo is not good at all. While he was playing for Uruguay he got injured hardly nad this made this player worried. First, he wanted to avoid taking surgery but now it seems he has to do that. he got injured while playing against Brazil.
Araújo was about to leave Barcelona and had some offers but this will definitely affect Araújo.
Probably he will be out for four months.

Actually, I feel that this will still happen and when it has been confirmed directly then indeed our beliefs about this are correct where at first I was already sure that Modric would stay in Madrid.

Madrid will be troubled if they lose their two veterans immediately because after all, the loss of Kroos has clearly created a large space in the midfield, so they must keep Modric for the short term.

His role on the pitch is still very useful, although it may not be the same as before where he will probably only be a support for the younger players, but of course we must realize that his presence in the squad will mentally grow the young players in Madrid at the moment.
It seems likely that this contract extension will be the last one before Modric decides to move to a smaller competition or perhaps even retire at Madrid like Kroos did this season.

This could be the last time he’ll extend his contract in my view after several years with the Los Blancos.

I know Luka Modric is still energetic enough to continue playing professional football at top level but do you actually think he took a good decision to play another season with Real Madrid? I'm a Real Madrid fan and is a big admirer of Modric's style of football but to I was expecting him to leave the club after winning the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish La Liga title last season with Real Madrid bht just like you, I was surprised that he decided to stay back for one more season. I think the Croatian doesn't want to play club football for any other club again before his retirement and maybe wants to retire from football next summer which is why he decided to extend his contract with the club for one season so he retires from football as a Real Madrid player.

If you look at Luka Modrid's age, of course he is very old and the next season will be his last season with Real Madrid. As you said of course he will announce his retirement at the end of this season. We only see him for one more season and for Real Madrid's young players they still have seniors who can give them a lot of experience for the next season.

Actually, Carlo Anceloti has several options to replace Toni Kroos, one of which is by recruiting players who have the ability to regulate the tempo of the game like Toni Kross does, but the names that are linked seem difficult to get because their club owners are reluctant to sell them, but Carlo Anceloti doesn't just give up Real Madrid has quality players so they can use existing players like Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni Carlo Anceloti is not at a loss he is so clever in arranging strategies we can see how Anceloti faces the season without pure stickers so next season there won't be a problem great even though the players are not as good as Toni Kroos but Carlo Anceloti will make the players look impressive next season with a little polish, just see Wink

I respect Carlo ancelotti alot and I do trust him to make that  replacement that would eventually click things within the midfield of Real Madrid but the fact that it's going to be very hard can't be denied because Toni Kross wasn't just an ordinary player, the man has passes that are accurate even more than a sniper shot count , I mean he see beyond the vision of your regular players.

Experienced and talented players like Luka Modrich and Toni Kroos are very difficult to find. Moreover, these two players can change the entire scenario of the match even in the last minute of the match. So I think it is not possible to find a suitable replacement for Modrich or Kross so quickly.

But Ancelotti won't face too many problems without Kross and Modrich. Because Ancelotti has been able to find several talented young players. And if these players can be looked after properly, they can perform better than Kross and Modrich in the future. Bellingham, Camvinga and Tchouameni are all very talented players.
Modric seems to be staying, I do not think that he will be leaving this season, I remember reading that he signed one more season, probably his last season. Kroos however is already gone, he is retired and I do not think that he will make a comeback anytime soon.

Only situation is that we are dealing with a lot of midfielders at Real Madrid, while those two are great, and yes they can't be replaced in a fan way, I disagree that the talent isn't there. They have some amazing midfielders and they are going to keep playing with those young stars, and should be doing fine if you ask me. Maybe it will get worse in some aspects, like mental abilities of Kroos and Modric may not be found at some young player.

However, instead of that, these young players have much better physique and in todays world body matters a lot, a paced quick agile player would make so much difference at midfield, specially at defensive side. This means that I believe they are going to be fine without them, sad situation to see them go, means that I am getting even older, but that doesn't mean that we need to be upset about it, we just need to realize that it is going to be normal and not a big deal at all.

I am more fascinated by his ability to refuse more lucrative offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia. He has insisted to remain and retire in Madrid even when clubs like Al-Ahli & Al-Ittihad are willing to pay him more than he has ever earned. There were even speculations that he might join Leonel Messi in MLS side Inter Miami but he decided to remain in Madrid. The 38-year-old Croatian had a disappointing EURO even but the extension of his contract till next year will be a good consolation because he has not hidden his interest to retire in Madrid. I think Luka Modrić deserves more than a year contract extension because his strength and quality have not reduced too much. His experience and leadership skills will be valuable to the team. Young players will learn a lot from this midfield maestro.

Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez knows exactly what to do, he made decisions for the club and have been incharge for years. He's definitely responsible for the rapid improvement of the club. Real Madrid signed the frenchman, Kylian Mbappe will excel in his new club because he's very promising and his qualities are extremely the best to handled in Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti knows better to treat his player and had a good chemistry going on between them.
When a club achieves good results, everyone does their job very well, Perez is the best president, Ancelotti is the best coach, but when Barcelona and Xavi became champions, no one was in a hurry to praise Ancelotti. I only know one thing, that Real won’t be able to win all the time, there will be seasons when Barcelona will be better, I don’t even rule out that Atletico or some other Girona will be able to enter this race. But for now, yes, Ancelotti is very good and it looks like he is also very comfortable working with Real Madrid. They were also lucky with Mbappe, he came to the club himself as a free agent, who will refused such an offer?

Carlo Ancelotti is enjoying his time at Real Madrid and who wouldn't when the team have been in a very good shape under his watch and their might also be some bonuses that the coach gets from the club's president that makes him remain committed to the teams improvement and success. The club's president is doing a nice job for the club by releasing funds to purchase high quality players that has helped solidify the teams performance and the club is also rich so they can go for whatever player they need and most players in other clubs also wished to join Madrid due to the success of the team.

When a club is doing perfectly fine, they become center of attraction hence the good vibes that Real Madrid and their management is enjoying now but let us take a look at other clubs, none is making any improvements to counter Madrid's fame and dominance so before Real Madrid can fade away mean another stronger team need to emerge and which is not gonna be Barcelona because they are yet to fix the club in finance to be able to afford quality players. Kylian Mbappé moving to Madrid as a free agent made things very easier for the club so he should enjoy his time in the club.
