Barcelona does not have good financial conditions to increase the depth of their squad, that's why they choose to borrow and also maximize academy players. As a result, Barcelona's performance has been very erratic and that has clearly lowered their chances of winning any titles over time.

Xavi certainly needs to force management to give him enough money and comply with his requests to get certain players, but if management can never comply then they just need to lower their expectations for the title. However, Barcelona in Xavi's hands is the best rival for Real Madrid this season, even if Barcelona loses to Real Madrid in the title race.

Yes, Barcelona managed to save the full 3 points in this match against Almeria with a final score of 0 - 2. Playing away is not a problem for Barcelona this time because if you look at the statistics, it is quite different.  I don't blame Xavi for his misfortune this season at Barcelona, I still think he's the right coach for them next season and the board should consider giving him another chance, he's already proved himself in the first season and i feel with the right players in the squad next summer he'll do just fine, if you watch their rival Real you'll see that they've built their squad to be very strong enough to face any team in Europe and beyond and that's why they've excelled in all competitions this season. Barcelona could br same with the right investment on good players for Xavi, well with the financial crisis they're facing it could he quit difficult to build a very strong squad as Madrid's but they could start by investing what they've got on proper attackers and defence line especially then we'll see them gradually competiting we'll again.

Barcelona has not been consistent this season and even the presence of experienced players in the team such as Gundogan has not been able to make Barcelona compete closely with Real Madrid. The results of the upcoming match do not affect Barcelona position in the standings because Barcelona and Girona have managed to secure their place after their points are far superior compared to the teams below their ranking.

There was transition of small clubs across many leagues, I thought Girona were the new cats they were going to change Laliga but they fell off badly. In Premier League, Arsenal put Manchester City to a challenge but still better even when winning is hard, Leverkusen top Germany league and has not lost, I expected Girona to keep the same energy but I guess Laliga isn't that kind of League that allow space for minor teams, Real Madrid took it beige their eyes.


With his on and off performance from the team, they better sign new players and make sure their center back are well replace and find a usual no.9 for their team else I'm not sure if they are going to pass through the ordinary stage of the group stage, the manager need to sign new players because the way the team were is now different from where they were last season to now.

Xavi Hernandez is one of the better coaches for Barcelona compared to some of their previous coaches. Xavi has kept a lot of hope alive for Barcelona since he took charge of the club, but their major problems regarding money have really made his plans to defend the title very difficult this season.

Barcelona in my opinion is only worse than Real Madrid this season, but Barcelona is better than the other 18 La Liga teams. Barcelona is strengthened by many young players and several loan players, but they are still capable enough to try to end the season in the Champions League zone this season. Defending the title without being supported by quality players is very difficult, even Barcelona clearly lost their best performance when they had to suffer from many cases of injuries to their main players. The team's performance suffered because of that, so I think it's a bit strange to say they were too bad without any positives.

Barcelona was actually the elite team that really ahs to struggle this season a d it was a really disappointing one because they had a better performance and the very beginning of the season such that fans taught their teams strength wasn't really going to affect them because we all know that they had an issue with their abilities and even had. Their key player injury for a long time almost halfway into the season.

After the first El clasico of the season Barcelona began their decline journey and it became almost very tough and bumpy for them from there but they managed to be able to finally got back a little towards the end of the season and Luckily for them through their period of decline they made sure they were able to maintain a position around the top five and didn't get below that level and that helped them to find it quiet easy to be able to get back to the top of  the table easy enough at the end part of the season but if they has gone way below the fifth position they would have actually found it difficult getting back to the second position on the table.

They have aswell been able to qualify for the champions league and some how they still have luck in the fact that they will still have xavi staying with them so next season availa another opportunity for them to be able to pickup form and get back to a much good and better performance than they have been this season and possibly they could be a top contender for the league titles aswell.

I think Real Sociedad will likely win even the match, aside this season being the worst season for Valencia since I can remember, they are played subpar this first half and I don't think the coach might be able to do something that will make these players being able to change the game in the second half

Betis is far from being a team worth betting on, especially in an away game, those who lost their bets should have known what risks they were taking. But it’s still strange that Betis conceded 2 goals from a team that averages less than a goal per game. Apparently this draw officially leaves Las Palmas in La Liga, it seems that there is no mathematical chance that Cadiz and the rest of the losers will be able to get past them.

I think this season is a special season for all leagues, it's not just Laliga that is making a surprise. From a small team to becoming part of an elite team to compete in the UCL league next season. In La Liga there is Girona, in Serie A there is Bologna, in the EPL there is Aston Villa, in Ligue 1 there is Brest, then in the Bundesliga there is Stuttgart. So in my opinion, almost all leagues are interesting to watch this season.

However, the question is whether they will be able to compete in the UCL league next season or will these teams just be lucky teams for one season, next season they will be small teams again. This is what is interesting for us to wait for. but among the teams I mentioned above, Girona still seems to remain consistent, because of the extraordinary money power of the City Group which has made history, Girona is known as a small club to become a giant club in La Liga, a successful investment.

Well, all things considered, Newcastle didn't perform too poorly in the champions league. I know they won only one match but I believe they were kind of unlucky too. The first time in decades that they'll be playing in the champions league they get grouped with PSG, Dortmund and Milan.
Girona needs to a lot in transfers before they can compete in the champions League. They don't have deep pockets but if they recruit rightly they might have a better team and they can still get some players on lone.
With the kind of form Girona is ending the season with, I doubt they'll be flying high next season, but I hope they make the right decisions because I want to see them competing.


Barcelona is currently winning, but not convincingly. I believe they'll finish the match with a win because they're already 2 goals up, but matches like this sums up the difference between Barcelona and Real Madrid this season. This is supposed to be a very easy win for Barcelona because Almeria has only won 2 out of 35 matches this season. Barcelona is another team that has a lot of work to do or else they might have two straight seasons without a trophy.

Almeria has nothing to fight for and I agree with you Barcelona definitely gonna win but maybe not with a huge margin, except Almeria just really want to trouble Barcelona then this match may end in a draw because I don't see Barcelona being a strong minded team anymore, a little destabilisation will give a good opportunity to Almeria  

Sociedad have won the first half so far and have displaced Betis in the standings... I don't know if Valencia will be able to equalise, but for now Sociedad are in the Europa League zone... Probably Betis are very offence now, but Valencia can give them hope in the second half...

They have already gotten to halftime, and Barcelona is still at the top with a goal, but as I am seeing the game, I think Barcelona have a higher chance of winning because they are playing well and are more comfortable than Almeria. More over, they will like to maintain the second position in the league, and they are just a point ahead of Girona, so we will continue to see how the game comes to an end.

Girona will be under observation next season and people would like to see if they can have the same good performance that they did this season in next season, and still create competition for Real Madrid and Barcelona. The Champion's league is a new environment for them, I do not expect them to do well.
