Barcelona vs Cadiz was a great match but Barcelona did not attack very well. Although Barcelona won the match, they didn't score much in comparison, winning only 0-1. Barcelona are currently in second position in the La Liga points table with 70 points, although they have the potential to challenge Real Madrid this season. As of now, Real Madrid are 8 points ahead of Barcelona but the current morale of the promotion looks like they won't be able to catch Real Madrid. Although Barcelona are currently focused on the Champions League, they may not attack La Liga too much. However, Barcelona have a good chance of winning the Champions League this season, if they can improve their game, they will definitely succeed in reaching the Champions League finals this season.

Real Madrid and Barcelona both collected 3 points in Week 31 of La Liga and their victory was the same with a narrow score of just 1 goal from their opponents. It seems that the performance of these two big La Liga teams is really lacking and they should be able to win with a difference of more than 2 goals. But things can't be as we want and even though the opponents are weak teams, they don't want to suffer a heavy defeat from these two big teams.

However, I was quite entertained by the spectacular goal scored by Tchouameni with a powerful kick from outside the penalty box and Joao Felix also provided the only goal for Barcelona's victory. Now the two of them have a difference of 7 points in the standings and Real Madrid's position is not necessarily safe until now. What is clear is that next week's El Clasico party will be one of the main keys for Real Madrid to win the La Liga title or Barcelona will start to catch up to Real Madrid by reducing the existing points.

Real Madrid still eight points clear on the table and with the few games left, Real Madrid will not want to lose points to any other team. Barcelona has improved and are showing really positive signs of improvement even with the massive team rotation of players who start games from the coach because even though they did not win the game by scoring many goals, they were able to win by defending the one goal that João Félix scored.
 Cadiz supporters will not be happy, there was a hand ball situation in the Barcelona penalty box that was not checked by the Referee, that was not good, and would have been a key moment in the game.

I thought the same about the Girona game and Atletico Madrid really finished them off by 3-1.    Actually Girona scored a very early goal to get ahead but this was still not enough to stop Atletico Madrid. Griezmann played a really important role in the win by scoring two goals as well. He is still a very crucial player for this team without doubt.

I don't expect Villarreal to be a huge problem for Athletic Bilbao honestly. Athletic Bilbao already won away by 3-2 before. I expect an even more convincing win this time. The players must be very happy and motivated after winning the Copa del Rey title.  

Villarreal is capable of taking points from Athletic Bilbao, although Marcelino's team has a frankly weak defense, so this will significantly reduce their chances in this match. Simione achieved an important victory in the match against Girona and now has a comfortable 5-point advantage over Bilbao.

By the way, Barcelona beat Cadiz and now almost certainly became unattainable for Girona. Of course, they won’t be able to reduce the 8 points to Real Madrid in the remaining matches, but Barcelona’s position in the table looks good.

Before this game u had mentioned the fact that Girona may not be able to penetrate the defense of atletico as they have a relatively fair strength within their defense such that i don't trust girona to be tactical enough to get pass that defense in such a way it will give them victory. They actually tried their best but then they were contending a good team with a better form and good strength so loosing out is actually expected.

Atletico were playing from home and i think it was actually enough for them to see as an advantage because playing from home will gat your morale high since you will be having majority of the stadium filled with your fans and you wouldn't want to perform any less before them , that asides, Atletico has got a better tactical approach as compared to girona and that's why i mentioned sometimes ago that Girona basically uses an advantage of winning smaller teams and then getting to gather points from them while they try to draw or probably loose to bigger team.

This tactics has helped them a long way to the point they are now on the table and so they literally try to maintain it but then it becomes obvious that they are just little above average whenever they get to meet bigger team that has got a better form and strength than they actually do so i still don't actually get to rate them as a strong team yet but just within t he average and are most likely getting to improve beyond average.

For Atletico today, victory is more important, so I think that Girona is unlikely to win today, especially since there are losses, Tsigankov will miss the game due to injury, and even in case of defeat, Girona will be 4 points ahead of Atletico in the table, which is very acceptable, but for Atletico a draw is not the best result, because Bilbao can beat them on goal difference, they will play with Villarreal, also a difficult opponent.

And their first lose was with a great team Real Madrid. Real Madrid beat them this season both home and away. They have being continuously dropping form ever since they've been beaten by Real Madrid from away, a game that ended 4- 0. Girona form from away is just extremely bad this day. Imagine losing 5 consecutive matches from away. Girona has no hope in the league title anymore but can still secured a place in the UCL if they can try to win 3 or 4 more matches out of 8 matches left.

At this particular scenario, Girona have forgotten about the La Liga title race and will fight for steady winnings. Atletico Madrid managed to defeat Girona 3-1 at home and we must say that they got an important win for themselves.We can say that Girona no longer has a chance to be champion because the difference has increased to 13 points.Although Girona scored the first goal in the 4th minute, Atletico Madrid managed to turn the game around and managed to hold on to the match with Griezmann's goals.It seems that the rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid will continue until the last 3 weeks of the league. The 2 teams managed to win by a single goal against their rivals yesterday and the same point difference continues for now.

Real Madrid and Barcelona has successfully to extended their positive results in Laliga yesterday that both teams can able to overcomes their opponents although they unable to win with big scores but at least Real Madrid and Barcelona can collect 3 points from their opponents and for Girona unfortunately they have to lost from Atletico Madrid and this result too makes Girona chances will be very hard to taking over second place from Barcelona even i have to says a bit impossible for them to finish at runner up position

Apparently Girona fantastic performance was ended because lately they were tasted several defeat and this is the prove that Girona was unable to managed their mentally and consistency to compete with Barcelona and if they unable to bounce back then possibly Girona position will be out from top 4 and for Atletico Madrid i always sure they can able to utilized their home matches with very well and the winning result from Girona is so important because after that result Atletico Madrid can cut their points gap became an 5 points below to Girona but their position still not fully safe because possibly Bilbao still can threaten their position on league table

Yes. Atletico Madrid needs 3 points to stay in UCL zone. That's very reasonable if they play with great motivation. Girona performance is also decreasing a lot recently, they are no longer as strong as in the 1st half of the season. The title of the race is no longer for Girona, only Barcelona has the chance to overtake Real Madrid. But most of people assume Real Madrid is hard to catch by Barcelona.

Girona must fell satisfied to end the season in UCL zone. I think they won't have a too big expectation in the early season. It is just surprising that they ever lead the La Liga standings. Now, Girona seems difficult to maintain its good performance in the remaining matches. Moreover, Girona still has 2-3 big matches. They will play against Barcelona in matchday 34.
