Are You Shpongled?
Where's that picture of the IC from?

it's from their website

like swede claimed, the team are engineers so couldn't possibly show any renders, fakes or mockups  Roll Eyes

I'm looking at their website and can't see it. Can you provide a link to it?

@labcoin: I'd like to have a board (unassembled, like on the photos) and one chip for souvenir. Where can I buy ? Thanks.

We are here to stay and everyone who is having doubts will have to change his opinion once we show what we achieved.
Again, we advise anyone to purchase more shares now that they are cheap.
Do you still confirm that these two pictures represent reality?

If so, please explain how the number of pins is different (128 vs 44) between the design and the boards/tray. You may also explain how the "giggahashes" send the results to the internet through the resistor/capacitor pin (which seems to be the only one thing connectable on the board). Or perhaps you might think this board filled with hardware and software enthusiasts is full of morons that can't figure out you are technically unequipped to deliver your promise?

So trolls = people who don't blindly believe something based on faith?

I'll ask again. What experts are you referring to?

Every engineer who has taken a look at those pics talks about what a joke it is. Look at the reddit topic starting with krillcoin:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1mcyrb/labcoin_crashes_as_news_reveals_lies/

These people do this stuff for a living and know BS when they see it.

Thanks. I don't know what their qualifications are but I'll listen to everyone using a logical argument, whether they are experts or not.

Very aware.

However, as this board has only one layer, no vias from the pads, and no decoupling caps near the chip, we can assume the board is completely nonfunctional.

yea thats either the worst fake of a pcb design ever or miles beyond anything ive ever made and ive made some serious shit.

The pads for the chips don't even look to be on a copper layer. It looks like they produced them on the silkscreen layer instead of the top copper layer.
If we look at the dark copper layer for what looks like some power or ground distribution traces they are covered with green copper mask....this is normal looking to me.
The chips however have no exposed copper where their pads would go.
This is why the chips couldn't be mounted....they can't solder to silkscreen.

Ugh. You're right. They're not even traces, just silkscreen. I've no idea how I didn't see that before.

I don't think so, as they're all going to individual pads on the edge connector. If there's any power or ground, it must be on the other side.

It looks like a total cock up in any case.
I designed my fair share of boards, maybe 35 different ones over the past 5 years in Eagle and Ultiboard. (I used to own a niche manufacturer of parts for race cars.)
It looks like several layers were not sent to the pcb fab house. I can get boards in my hand from China in less than 5 days...I've made my share of mistakes in the past. Usually you send them a zip containing the readme.txt which gives a layer stackup and other info about the production...and the 5+ layer files in gerber format that you need done.
It looks like they have some stuff on the wrong layer (chip pads on top silkscreen layer)...it looks like they missed several layers entirely, many of the minimum 5-7 layers on a double sided board are not there. No vias at all which is basically impossible in any complex design. Everyone minimizes their use of vias but none(?).
Basically I see a tray of unidentifiable chips...they could be anything from Digikey at all in that package size....who says they are even hashing chips? And about $50 worth of faulty boards.

to further mix metaphors:

Blood in the water has gotten the sharks into a feeding frenzy, and all the little fish have run away,

Dealing with a real world fabrication enterprise is never easy, and more often than not it will run over budget and schedule. Often there will be unforeseen delays and problems, such as the 100200th mine and bitfury chips. Even more often the people who know what is really going on are to busy to tell anyone other than the boss, who fears to lose face by admitting anything is behind schedule.
Hopefully news will be forthcoming soon

Delays, delays, delays.

All these delays mean more fud spread over a longer period of time, sustained damage to share price, increase in difficulty and numerous competitors taking the lead and minimg all those btc that had LC written on them.

So why the delays?  Are the issues being encountered insurmountable or can they be resolved in a timely manner?  In a market that is moving as quickly as the exponential rise is difficulty and global hash rate, every day that LC fall further behind schedule adds an order of magnitude to the damage being done to this fledgling enterprise.  Will they ever mature enough to fly the coop or are they destined to scramble out of the nest and fall to their death?

Lol Theswede was a rude, annoying troll on the alt currency subforum before he went through a character change and made this topic.

That alone was reason enough for me not to invest in this security.

Yeah I've argued with him a few times haha. At least change your name for the PR, just post under LabCoin lol, instead of posting under your own name who people already know what a dick you can potentially be lol. I mean he's an angel compared to the trolls in this thread lol, but still who has 2 people doing PR randomly not in sync with eachother, just retarded lol.

I like how they communicate badly and then come to the conclusion they shouldn't communicate at all.

No, you should communicate better.
But I think at least TheSwede should know how to communicate well, and at least advise Sam what's right to do.

The problem is TheSwede sucks as communicating also, it's the blind leading the blind lol. Sam sometimes comes on here by himself and posts sometimes.
But Sam has a bigger problem on differentiating trolls and good advises.
He seems cannot realize a piece of good advise when seeing it, but easily get discouraged by trolls.

Thats the problem people take things personally. And to be good at PR you have to be emotionally distant from the project while in PR mode, again it's not even one thing they are doing wrong, it's multiple things. They need to get someone who can do it right, and it's hard. I've done it before, I can easily curse someone out on here, but when I do PR, I'm always cool and collected and don't even pay attention to the trolls.

When the hashing starts full force nobody will care about their horrendous PR, until then they just shoot themselves in the foot, releasing statements that one person has no clue about, and digs them into a hole.
