Lampix (PIX) Issues Company Update

We are excited to share our first official update for 2018.

The first month of the year was both eventful and productive for Lampix. We have added a number of resources company-wide in preparation for what we believe will be a remarkable and unprecedented year for the Lampix brand. As you will read in the notes below, Lampix is planning the execution of several strategic objectives, including the highly-anticipated Kickstarter campaign, which will launch in March. Our team believes that we are well-positioned for significant events to not only come to fruition but also succeed. We hope to carry this momentum throughout the remainder of 2018 and beyond.

What's the point for a coin and blockchain?
I see this as a unique futuristic product, but nothing else.

Guys,

-28% today , thanks to really underperforming coin exchange; liquidity premium hit hard today , thanks BigOne & co!

That being said, 10 cent, less than EUR 15 m market cap; in fund raising, for a product with clients & a techno like this protected by patents, it starts becoming a bargain (and seeing the pricing of other crypto with less + points.. it is a bargain )

Sony worked with AR 10 years ago, that time it was not ready for it. Now is the time for AR.

And it is run by a MIT alumni.
This coin together with prl and appcoin is in my speculation portfolio.

Lampix is crap, their entire team is a huge lie, i have been on their telegram group for more than a few days and everything that i read in there are just complaints about the team and how they are managing it.

Just avoid that coin, it is better for you if you do not invest a single penny.

Dude you have no valid arguments; what you say is based on feeling and their group is totally allright;

It's not because classic minings groups do not benefit from Lampix that you have to say unvalid arguments to discredit the project;

BigWhales and mining groups are really lobbying the community in wrong ways;

Keep in easy its an incredible project with a great team outclassing 75% of Tokens & Protocols & Coins team

You are welcome.

Hey guys,

Yes I think Lampix team has not been greedy & has not convinced big whales to pump up the project at initiation so in other words they are playing it right & its one of the few projects making it for the long term

And with astonishing undervaluated tokens right now

Really love it , discovered it 5-7 days ago & for having so : one of my top 5 gems.

For me there is one issue with gems like these. Why do good coins like Lampix choose shady exchanges like Hitbtc to offer their coins? There is a lot of uncertainty in this business, so I always look for "reputable" exchanges when buying.
What good is it to make profits, if you end up having problems withdrawing your money. I read enough horror stories about Hitbtc that I would never sign up there. And the other exchanges where Lampix are offered aren't much better, I am afraid.
I completely agree with you what is killing the price of Lampix is the exchange on which it is listed on currently, HitbTC is too shady for me even to withdraw your funds from it they will frustrate you, the tteam need to look to list on a bigger exchange like KUcoin and Binance

Could you explain to me why many coins start out on these shady exchanges? I missed out on quite a few coins because of that, but I think what good is it to make profits on your computer screen if later on you cannot withdraw your money. There are lots of horror stories about these small business and thieving exchanges.

Lampix created over 1 billion tokens for sale and has burned its unsold tokens and locked up the additional tokens “to demonstrate that we are in this for the long run and that the team’s incentives are aligned with the token holder’s interest.”v It’s clear that the Lampix team’s focus is on creating an actual product they can sell to consumers and companies alike, and they’ve directly shown their commitment by locking up their tokens

https://augmented.reality.news/news/your-desk-can-be-ar-smart-surface-with-lampix-0177042/

-------
Recently, the company worked with Bloomberg to install a Lampix around the office. Bloomberg hired five grad students to use the AR smart surface to deal with data. Popescu and Dumitrescu trained the students on how to use the product, then the students were able to use it however they imagined.

In one exercise, the group of students sat around a table to vote on something using the Lampix to project a voting system. The students then had to choose "yes" or "no" to a question by pressing their finger on the augmented light.

Popescu also sees the potential for the Lampix to be installed in major retailer outlets: "Walmart reached out and asked, 'Can you put a Lampix on every shelf?'"
Popescu started thinking about how the product could be used to highlight instructions or facts about a certain product on a store shelf, mixing "both the best of Amazon, with the best of in-store experience."

Popescu is also willing to have Lampix integrate with other IoT hardware like the Google Home to say "Hey, Google Home, make my Lampix play a game." Or, the Lampix would have input control, like say if you put your finger on the Lampix surface and it displays your home control system. You can switch the controls on and off, which would be a visual representation of the Google Home.

Lampix has its competitors. Sony's Xperia smart projector is also set to turn any surface into a smart touchscreen, but Popescu notes that Sony's projector reacts to fingers and not objects. There is also HP's Sprout desktop which uses a 3D scanner to recognize objects in front of a desktop projector. Microsoft Surface is another product available which allows users to track images on its interactive surface.

Lampix is what Popescu calls "complementary and alternative" to Microsoft's HoloLens and similar AR products. Lampix can provide the same augmented experience, but without the headse
t, by projecting the image on an immovable surface. The product won't cost much, either.

Popescu notes that about a 1,000 Lampix units made in China would put the price of each Lampix at a cool $300, compared to the HoloLens which starts at $3,000.

Ultimately, Lampix wants to get in with major companies first before it begins marketing to consumers:

    If we were Google, we'd make it a consumer platform like Android, but we're not Google yet, so we want to get in with companies to help build the product and platform.
    — George Popescu in an interview with Next Reality

Lampix has the potential to be used for a number of uses, including medical care, retail, hospitality, gaming, and manufacturing. Popescu hopes to eventually integrate the technology as a software program that could be installed on Windows, Dell, HP, or any other hardware
