Hey everyone,

As online gambling platforms continue to grow in popularity, I’ve been wondering about the future of traditional, land based casinos. With the convenience and accessibility of online betting, will brick-and-mortar casinos become a thing of the past, or will they evolve to offer experiences that can’t be replicated online?

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?

Real casinos will never die.
Since gambling is supposed to be entertainment it is much nicer to be in a casino than staring at your screen. The atmosphere makes the difference.
Also where else can you get free drinks, free food and maybe even a free stay if you gamble enough. In an online casino you maybe get some bonus which you will lose anyway sooner or later.
In a real casino you eat, you drink, you have fun with other people. It is a much better experience and you have cash in hand if you win, unlike online with waiting for withdrawals or getting accused for multiple accounts at some casino site and then not getting paid.  Grin

Online is just convenient, that's it.

Where I live the government intervened in their benefit as allowed only 2-3 big ones and banning every other gambling platform including online and offline. One of them is in the central park and I see a lot of persons entering there to enjoy gambling, usually I see them at night when I go for a walk with my wife. This means that it depends on any government politics if they will support such casinos or they will shift their support to the online ones.

I can draw parallels between topic question and discussed many times "going to restaurant when you can order food or cook yourself". Every kind of casinos has its own benefits and disadvantages. People go to offline casinos not only to gamble. Some people use it as a meeting place, to celebrate something, spend time. I would say banal things, but people go to offline casinos to communicate. Especially people in age, who prefer communicating face-to-face, instead of calling or sending message.

On land casinos, there are usually some cheering sounds, buzzing, arguments, new people that come and go, etc. The fun or joy derived from betting on land casinos is not only dependent on the game you play but also on those other factors listed above, and there is no way online casinos can establish such things in their casinos because it is online and people can do it at their convenience. Some people prefer to go bet on land casinos, despite the fact that they are still gambling online too. At least they can grab a beer at the Land Casino and chitchart with their friends or make new friends. Online casinos cannot entirely replace or dismiss land casinos. I don't agree.

Absolutely, the atmosphere of a land based casino is something truly unique and can't be fully replicated online. The sensory experiences, the excitement in people's voices, the clinking of chips, and even the possibility of enjoying a drink or chatting with friends - contribute to the overall thrill and enjoyment of gambling in person.
These social and sensory elements play a big role in why many people still prefer land casinos, even if they also enjoy the convenience of online options.
While online casinos offer their own set of advantages like accessibility and a vast selection of games, they cater to a different experience.
It's like comparing a live concert with listening to music at home, both are enjoyable, but in very different ways. The coexistence of both online and land casinos offers gamblers the best of both worlds, depending on what they're in the mood for.

Yeap!

In the United States, for example, casinos are seen as a tourist destination, far beyond a form of entertainment. Every year, thousands of people visit cities like Atlantic City and Las Vegas to gamble.

In fact, many players who used to frequent physical casinos prefer the convenience of playing at home and more and more people are migrating their bets to virtual sites which are already a worldwide phenomenon that raises billions of dollars every year.

But, in my opinion, the existence of these sites does not completely eliminate the need or interest in physical casinos. After all, they bring completely different experiences to players and are still an extremely profitable market, in the same way that people continue to buy vinyl records or read physical books even though they know that digital media exist... the experience is completely different.

I think being the tourist destination of these casinos, is one major reason why a lot of these land-based casinos won't go away anytime soon. Just like in Macau, not only gamblers are visiting this place, but visitors are curious to get inside and try to play for fun. Do take note that a lot of them are also nongamblers.

A lot of young generation may be into online gambling these days, but you can't take away the fact that land-based casinos will still have its own niche in this billion-dollar industry.

Hey mate, It is the evolution of time and with the evolution of time many of the old methods are now disappearing especially the earlier offline i.e. land based gambling is changing with the evolution of time. Earlier people did not have such approach towards online gambling that's why people were forced to attract themselves to offline gambling but nowadays people are engaging themselves in online gambling instead of offline gambling as there are hundreds of benefits in online gambling.
Physical participation in offline gambling is mandatory because of the outbreak of various infectious diseases such as corona virus, there is a possibility of spreading in these areas and moreover, offline gambling has been banned in various countries. Offline gambling is being stopped and gambling authorities are giving more importance to online gambling. Offline gambling is slowly losing popularity. It is mainly due to the evolution of time and people's desire to get more benefits that people are losing attention to offline gambling.

You’ve hit on interesting point about how the digital wave is reshaping gambling.  Suddenly, everything’s at our fingertips, anytime, anywhere. Online gambling’s big win is its convenience - fancy a game in your PJs at 3 AM? No problem!

It’s all about how the times are changing, and it’s fascinating to see where this evolution will take us next in the world of gambling.

As technology develops, physical casinos may be less popular than online casinos because nowadays most people prefer to use cellphones wherever they go and online casinos are easy to do anywhere, whereas in land-based casinos we have to visit the gambling house. I even think that one day gambling houses will become extinct and they will switch to online casinos because if they don't keep up with developments they will be increasingly left behind. Indeed there are some people who may still be able to visit land-based casinos but not as many as in the past so in my opinion, land-based casinos continue hoping that someone will come to visit, it would be better if he changed the concept to change it online so that the profits return to normal.

It’s a cool observation, kind of like how we’ve seen bookstores and video rental shops evolve (or disappear) with the rise of digital alternatives.

And yet, a lot of people say, there’s a certain charm and experience to land-based casinos that’s hard to replicate — the buzz, the lights, and the collective excitement. Perhaps, they might become more of a niche, offering something special that you can’t get online.

Maybe the future of gambling houses isn’t about choosing between online or offline but finding a way to blend both. Huh

These are the similar questions that were asked by people who were used to only the post office services before the telephones started taking over. The inquired to know if post office services will be able to survive the modernity and changes, and by now they have their answers. The digital age is taking over, most land based casino owners are already experiencing the reduction in their profit margin, soon they will be out of business completely as the number of online casino's are increasing.

In the future, the number of land based casinos will be much smaller than we have now.

Just like how emails changed the way we communicate, online casinos are reshaping gambling. As digital convenience grows, land-based casinos may become more exclusive, focusing on unique experiences beyond just gambling to attract visitors. While the digital shift is clear, there's still a special something about the live experience that keeps it in the game. So, while we might see fewer physical casinos, maybe they won't vanish entirely.

The advantage of land based which online casino won’t beat is the real casino experience. The purpose of gambling is to entertain players which means those real entertainment seeker gamblers will always preferred to play on land based casino instead in online games.

I believe online casino is popular to those who don’t have easy access to land based casino while the land based casino old customers is still the same so business will go as usual except that those doesn’t gamble before is now can gamble through the existence of online gambling. Both type of casino will co-exist because people still have a preference for a better form of entertainment through physical experience on gambling.

a shift in gambler behavior preferring online casinos may already be occurring. But still, if you ask gamblers who play in these two types of casinos, their answers will be based on different levels of comfort and adrenaline.
Land-based casino lovers will still have their fans. especially casinos that are in countries with good gambling legality. those who regulate gambling will of course maintain this business. because the government knows how much of their tax income is from the gambling industry.
matter of interest, land-based casinos will continue to exist. not all gamblers like online games. because some of them think that online games are all full of cheating.

Honestly, I don't think there is much land based or brick and mortar casinos need to be afraid of. Even as online casinos continue to expand their dominance on the internet and their volume also continues to grow in a very quick pace, there is an advantage which are held by the classic casinos: they are nowadays a experience which is highly sought by tourist and actual lovers of the full gambling experience.
That is the reason why casinos care so much to keep their appearance and their aura of luxury, because all those who go to vacation and gamble are seeking something which they could not experiment in the same way by staying home and logging in their casino accounts.

So, regardless of the digital era we all live in, there will be always a place for brick and mortar casinos to exist and attract gamblers, at least that is my opinion on this matter.

There will always be physical casinos, and they will never be out of style, only in pandemics and war will they cease to exist, physical casinos will always have loyal followers because humans need to interact and socialize and physical casinos are there to fulfill that need.

Go check the physical casinos in many countries they are thriving and they are making a lot of money because they cater to people in high society, physical casinos are a complete package for tourists or for locals to have pleasure, they have games, drinks and they have people to entertainment them like singers and bands.
Physical and online casinos will continue to thrive as long as humans continue to gamble.

It's not going anywhere anytime soon for sure. It might be easy to access and all the benefits like convenience, variety of games, bonuses, play anywhere, etc, it just doesn't answer to land-based stuff because of the feeling of actual people being around you or something.

They would manage to hold their ground literally  Cheesy

These have run their race and I don't see them continuing their operations the old way, besides I believe going full time digital means cutting down on running costs such electricity, internet, phone bills and probably rentals which is a deal breaker to owners of the casino, and the fact that such a business setup opens its doors to more clients...brick and mortar casinos could be a thing of the past in the coming years but probably for the sake of having a physical presence to tell the world they are a real company and not a scam,  I guess we  probably going to see a downsized structure for this purpose.

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?
Can't hold their ground for sure , unless it's a place like Vegas which is well known for such casino's I don't think they can pass on this opportunity to go digital.

In my opinion, no, physical casinos are still in use and have many fans, this can be seen from several areas that provide physical casino houses, my understanding is that playing in physical casinos and online casinos is very different, everyone gambles mainly to achieve their own pleasure and entertainment, in physical casinos many things are directly related to the user, online casinos are not the case.

Sometimes online casinos are boring, I see those who gamble over the age of 40 and above, many of whom visit physical casinos, in fact some of them don't understand how to operate an online casino.
Conclusion:
Physical casinos are mostly popular with people aged 40 and over, while online casinos are mostly popular with people aged 40 and under, meaning that physical casinos never disappear or fade over time.

In this modernity where everything has evolved into online, casinos have also changed to online casinos.  Both the online platform as well as brick and mortar casinos have their significance.  Like online platform saves your time and eliminates you from a long distance and also you can play your favorite games from your bed but the online platform does not affect the traditional one because the brick-and-mortar stores secure their futures.  In Canada, the casinos are now more advanced to give a better experience to the users, and also the experts always suggest the traditional casinos where a new one can learn more tricks and information than online platforms.

Let's face it, folks. We all love the glitz, the glamour, the feeling of a big win at a land-based casino.  But are these  luxurious dinosaurs headed for extinction in the digital age?
I think about it a lot and come up with this answer: Who wants to travel, pay for gas and overpriced drinks, just to gamble? Online casinos are open 24/7, from your phone or computer (additionally you can play from everywhere - bed, car, bench). Also this overcrowded casino space, always limited table space and crowded slots are irritating.
And the most important safety & security. I always worried about shady characters in the casino or losing my chips somewhere in the bar. As opposite, online casinos are more reliable in terms of money and security measures (I understand that compare offline and online casino safety systems are useless but this just view in general) and also I don’t need to worry that someone will steal my money just right on the corner.

+ Online casino offers endless gambling options, from classic favorites to even VR experiences. I heard some of my friends tried it and was very impressed.

Sure, there's something to be said for the atmosphere of a real casino. But is that enough to compete with the ease and options of the digital world?  Land-based casinos better adapt fast, or they might be left rolling the dice on their own survival.

If you mean if those land base casino will be eliminated due to existence of online casino then I guess it will not happen. Both category offer different level of fun so most provably does people usually play online might stay on online betting since this give them easy access to gamble.

But for sure those people who used to play on land based casino will continue to gamble on that places since they would provably find that its more fun to play physically than staying online since I really admit that sometimes you get bored with it especially if you are the only one playing in your house. The experience is different playing on land base casino so for sure this business will exist despite of how those online casino gather its fame.

Of course, they can manage, physical casinos have regular clients and these are people who are used to the ambiance of physical casinos because casinos are not only places to gamble but are also entertainment place and a venue where people socialize, they offer free drinks and free concerts.
This is where the venues popular and high society frequent and spend a lot of money making the physical casinos profitable.

Physical casinos are situated in hotels and tourist spots making them a top pick for tourists. Physical casinos are already an industry of their own, they can sustain themselves because they have a market to serve.

From the word comparison, "online" vs "offline", both offers entertainment as it's gambling but it offers a different experience. Maybe online gambling will generate more income as it serves the world (less countries that ban gambling) while land base casinos only offered limited numbers of gambler. Both will co exist, and only the difference is which one gets the biggest slice of the pie.

Honestly speaking, I dont really care about land based casinos because it is not available in my country since gambling is illegal here so online casinos is the most used gambling places for gamblers in my country.
Lets say land based casino will disappear in the future due to technology, it will not bring any effect for me because I almost have no chance to gamble in land based casino.
However I think land based casino will still exist because I believe it has its own player based that will always love to gamble in land based casino than online casino.

Despite of those flourishing market of online platforms but still we do see those offline or physical ones that do continue to exist. Why? Its simply because there's really still a significant demand into it.
We do know that no matter how technological advancement would happen there would really be those people who would really be sticking into those old places but just like on what been said by others
that these places are really that doing their best for them to go with the pace on which we do speak about changes and other stuffs on which it would really be just that a normal approach
because  as a business owner then you cant really just that make yourself that getting left behind with the competition because if you do then you would really be having that huge impact
into your business and might be ended up on getting bankrupt.
This is actually accurate on which it would really be that impossible that they wont really be finding any ways or methods that they could really be still in line with the competition even if we do say that online casinos are more in numbers now compared into those physical ones. If we do try to compare about the capital needed in between online and offline casinos then we can say that offline or physical ones would really be requiring more.
We do need those machines and having tons of staffs on which you could reallly be that so expensive in compared on creating an online casinos. Same with licenses on which i do believe that physical ones are really that more expensive.

Did make out some research and i dont know if these prices are accurate or not.
