When you say best, how do you mean? Do you mean in terms of profit or risk?
Real estate is expensive to break into, you have to have a certain level of money before you own a landed property. So if you look at it from this perspective, it's not the best.
In terms of profit, it is not the investment that gives the best profit.
Different people have their idea of a "best investment". It depends on what they understand and what they're into.
There are many rich people that got rich within real estate.

But those who invest in land property are usually those who already have middle and upper financial levels. and it is those who are already successful that invest the most in the land in the end. Many important figures in the world are noted that their land ownership is very extensive. The point is investing in land can only be done if our finances are good enough. because investing in this field requires a lot of money.
Now things like this must be understood, everyone has a way to succeed in different ways. It is not a guarantee that when people are successful in certain businesses that success will be felt when we follow them. And from there we need to know in what field our expertise is to achieve that success.
But now I see that some people always want to follow the steps of others, even though they know that they don't have the ability in that business. Maybe it's true that skills can be honed over time, but what I see is more like they are pushing themselves.

I know some other billionaire businessmen from them always have a fairly expensive property of course they put assets in property it is also a more important part but only long-term not as a business that is prioritized and usually from them is a business from services, finance, developers or many more businesses on the run not just property.

So still property is the best investment all admit it even someone who is middle to lower who wants to buy property is still very difficult because of the high price, then only millionaires can afford to buy property at fantastic prices so it will not be surprising if a businessman must have property but they usually will not be his only investment.

Usually when business people are successful and have a lot of money then they will look for properties with what they want including in urban areas.

Yes, it does require tons of money if we do speak about investing or buying a land or property on which it isnt that everyone could be able to afford on doing so.This is why it would really be that hard for someone to

In my country Nigeria if you don't have any of this properties forget yourself, you will end up making life mortgage and tenancy. land is not the best investment for the future, just imagine if there are many people who have ambitions to own land then they will start setting aside their immediate family just to claim sole ownership of land. in my country only old people own land, some young people are also landlords but it is a property inherited from their parents. that's why bitcoin and cryptocurrency are the best investments for young people because we start from the very beginning so that the possibility of making profits in the future is very large (rather than investing in land)


Op was to generalised and hardly did he consider that there are some landed properties (land) that may not appreciate even in 10yrs time due to the location of the property.
Landed property acquisition is good as an investment only when you are sure of the investment return within a stipulated time.
If you want an investment for the next generation you can consider buying land in rural places, survey and leave it for years, by then it will appreciate.

Before we making 2× in landed properties, it may take about some years or more but if we invest in Bitcoin, we can even get up to 3× with the interval of 4 years if we invested at the right time when the price of Bitcoin is very down. You are right with your words but these days land isn't cheap in many cities, and those people who want to own good land space then they will have to spend a lot of money on that. A good land is a viable option for many investors, but it's always better to own the land which is good and cheap at the same time. Because good land with very high price tag could be a problematic investment, and no body would buy the land that would cost them even more money.

It's always better to find cheap land in a good location of a city, and hold it for at least 5 years to earn some good profits from that investment. Cheap doesn't always mean low quality, if someone buys a land on dirt cheap rates, and the location of the land has no good features then no body would buy that land again from the owner for better rates. A investor should learn about a particular location in detail before investing money into it.

It's also true that in order to buy a huge area of land one should have a lot of money as investment because these days nothing is for cheap, and the same applies to land. A large land area would always cost huge sums of money, and if someone doesn't have a lot of money, then profits wont be very high for that investor.
