Irishcoin is definitely not 'dead' by any normal definition. http://Irishcoin.org seems alive and well to me Active nodes, active exchange, we don't need much more than that or do we?

I did ask @PaddyMac earlier in this topic, "are you part of the Irishcoin.org ?" i.e. is he part of the dev team, but no reply here at bitcointalk after two weeks

I hope it's just a case of devs not being up to speed on the benefits of forums and other social media.
Or they have more 'pressing' duties to perform...
(if one of those two was my GF I'd be 'performing'... a lot   )
I will be very disappointed if it turns out to be a sophisticated pump and dump

When I told them that I have (seriously) added to my 'bucket list'. He couldn't give me even a rough idea of how much a pint would cost, or the a %age discount I'd get in Darcy McGee's using Irishcoin.

It did occur to me that one of the lasses (ladies) in the pic above might be his girlfriend. I assumed they were PR girls hired for the day. I certainly meant no offence with my remarks. If I did, I most humbly apologise.

Now I do like the Beamish and Dublin/Eire is definitely on my "bucket list" but I couldn't drink a whole distillery !!

How much does a pint cost? or have you gone all metric on us? I have 13 IRL so far but I did just set up a faster miner

I'm sold I missed the St Paddy's day giveaway but I see they also sell Beamish in your IRL accepting pub, so I'll be over after I've downloaded and compiled a linux wallet, and mined enough at 4KH/s !! to buy a pint or two of the "black and tan" nectar

Of course by then I expect you to have persuaded Aer Lingus to accept IRL too! In that case I may need to buy a proper mining rig :-)

Linux Ubuntu 64-bit OS


IrishCoin's Linux binary is available for Ubuntu versions 12.04 thru 14.04 64-bit OS's. Once downloaded, right-click the file irishcoin-qt, select Properties, Permissions, Allow executing file as a program http://irishcoin.org/developers.html (Bottom left of page.)

We're already on exchanges since inception and no "dumps" We're using IRL as a discount token in tourism and related not so much for intrinsic value. The pre-mine wasn't that big and it's being distributed via Irish networks both on and off line.

Also, you post on our launch day speaks volumes. We're still here and albeit slowly, we're going forward.
