Well it is all about temperatures.  I went from 384M to 387M -- noticed no temperature increase and my hash rate increased by about 4Mh/s on average.

I have really cold AC on the unit -- Output temperatures are no hotter than 59 degrees C on "Temp(Chip)."

Didn't notice an increase in HW errors -- although Chain #3 (5 HW) and #4 (22 HW) have always shown some over a 24 hour period.  Another person had similar findings in another post.

The unit is quite impressive and the fan can get pretty quiet if the airflow and temperature is right.

I "rent" it on Nicehash when the price is at a certain level -- otherwise it defaults to a select alt coin pool where I mine a variety of alt coins.  lol

Nicehash is the best option if you want to get paid in btc... What pool are you using to mine the alt coins and what PSU are you using for L3+?

Unfortunately, my prognosis was right - and I was late a day to buy one unit Sad

Don't worry, someone will be willing to sell you for 3500 or more or less in Sept.
Time value of money, now make your 1291 worth 3500 or more to ease the pain.

Anyone know how long it takes for these guys to confirm a wire transfer?

I've been reading some pages on here and it seems its a lottery more than a sure thing. Very odd. You'd figure the 1 thing a company, who's looking for profits, would be good at, is confirming cash transactions. haha

4 working days

Thanks. I expected 2-3, since its 24 hours minimum just for the transfer to go through.

Mine was accepted less than 24 hours. It all depends, on your bank. If you don't hear anything go to your bank and ask for a trace route, they would have to call wire department expect to spend about 2 hours.

Sometimes Banks don't release wire and they don't inform you because they have additional KYC/AML question regarding your wire, so always a good idea with sending bank to check see if it went through.

Even if funds were debited out of your account,  it can be held by compliance so always always check back with bank if you dont' get updated from bitmain in 24 hours.

it would be laughable to hold my money for KYC/AML issues due to it being such a low amount, but good point.

I'll give them today as well, to make it over 48 hours from the time the wire went through, and will check in with the bank tomorrow morning if i still dont hear back from Bitmain.

Thanks for the heads up, didnt think about that.

No Worries keep us Updated and good luck.

Back to the topic of the L3+ miner.

Anyone over clock their miner without issue?  Or please let me know if there is a thread regarding this option on the unit.

Mine uses 752 watts and provides 500 to 505 MH/s at the default setting 384M.  They have a range of 100M to 650M under the "Advanced Settings" option.

I'd like to know more about it as well... I don't think overclock it is a good idea, but I'm not sure

I wonder what the chances are of LTC getting to 2-3000 in the years to come, i think the more digital currency becomes embraced globally, it just might happen ?

Thoughts...

Whoa bit optimistic that would be 4× the value of btc right now.  Do i think its still undervalued comparative to the market, yes.  That valuation would need to see not only mainstream adoption, but some sort of dominance of crypto in the financial community

Litecoin has 1 bad thing that it needs to shake off before going anywhere.

the fact that people think of it as "silver" to bitcoin being "gold".

technology wise, its actually the reverse, but in people's minds, its the opposite.

until that perception is entirely shifted, it will have problems exploding upwards.

essentially, litecoin is and will be bitcoin's bitch, due to that mindset.

Its good to own some, but it should be 1 of 4-5 currencies you hold, in terms of savings.

I'd do a 33% split between keeping mined litecoin, trading it for another coin, and cashing some out at whatever point in time (into fiat).

Also agree that you wont see it burst up like crazy all by itself, while others linger. $100 is a ridiculously optimistic value for litecoin, by the end of this year (realistically closer to guess a $50 value)

At current difficulty immensely profitable. But only pertains to apr/may batch recipients.
Maybe they removed their miners from the network to get people to bite on diff not being so bad.

I just bit and ordered a bunch more. Will be pissed if BTC is 2x in 3 months and LTC diff is 3x in same time frame.

I have an unpleasant gut feelings that miners will be gone in less than a week

Will buy mine by Friday

My own view is contrary to yours...they will continue to kick them out like toasters...I mean they probably imho are NOT moving a lot of bitcoin miners to large data
halls and or users...not when LTC miners make so much more for the same shelf space

again I think they will kick them out to the point like toasters to be equiv to say 11 -14 month ROI like it was last jan/feb ...in other words about 100 bucks a month
after electric.

again, imho..they have to keep the bitmain plant going....generate cash for the sale/design of new asics and chips.they have employees and rent to pay on data halls

etc...

so again in my view they will run the L3+ miners into the dirt and such like they did the bitmain miners...you get one w/o a price pump in your coin of choice and you may

roi in 11-14 months...this will be by december in my view..if they front end this out like toasters this last 1/2 of the year

I think folk are gonna be shocked at the bitmain dump of equip on the 3 batches in July

again, hope I'm wrong..but it is what they do...more so it seems now that they have fully embraced a 2-3 month pre-order system

but man ...I got knc titans that are still hanging in there....I really, really hope I'm incorrect....my gut says NOPE ...all asic miners are evil ..they swamp the market...its what they do Smiley

July is going to be a ticking time bomb.... lots of L3+ coming online i am sure hashnest will also have some as we get closer to july. Get ready for difficulty spike.

The situation will be different if the LTC price jumps to $50. And there is such a possibility.
Bitmain does not want to kill the market because will not be able to sell hardware at good prices.
It will be like with BTC. LTC price will grow and demand for new devices will be maintained.

I only wired them money once, and it was a few years ago, but it went through without a problem.

On a side note, my guess is they will continue to pump out miners, and why wouldn't they?  We know they make money off of them at a $1300 price point or so (when they first started selling them), so now that they are selling at over twice that, it would be insane not to capitalize as much as possible on those huge profits.  I am betting that this will go on for another couple of months until the price point is pushed down, then we will see them release a X11 miner.

July/aug will be a big month in realizing what we are facing.  I like to think that LTC will pump shortly to ease the pain but its all wishfull thinking.  We need at least 10 good scrypt coins on the uprise then i think the storm can be weathered.
