Nothing they haven't done before. After they killed Spondoolies SP20 sales with the S5, they raised the price twice in one day (not quite 30% total, but about there) just because they could. Bitmain loves money.

Wow, they really aren't messing around with this batch.  I am used to prices going down in subsequent batches, but going up by over 30% is outrageous.

Slightly Offtopic but since we're discussing hashnest, they increased the s9 stock too and the hashrate market price decreased a bit.. Anyone investing in s9 hashrate now?
I bought 2 units and noticed that only a few was sold within that 1-2 hours time unlike L3+ which was selling around 120-130 units during the same time.

I suspect it'd be less of a problem with a weaker PSU. Since the overcurrent cutoff on the DPS1200 is about 500 watts higher than expected draw on a L3+, if something goes wrong and a hashboard decides to pull 600 watts instead of 200 watts the cables will notice a long time before the PSU does.

Every time I check the supply boards they're running clean and cool. The one burned up last night had been running clean and cool since Friday afternoon. Almost has to be something screwy with the hashboards, but it's been a different miner on a different power supply each time.

Looks like we'll be swapping in 850W supplies with a less generous overcurrent cutoff and see what happens.

Interested to see if anyone else has had issues.

No issues here but I'm using a single 1500W PSU on each of mine.

I did have one of mine reboot itself for an unexplained reason after 3 days but that's the only thing out of the ordinary so far.

Same miner rebooted itself again, no idea why either. Still hashing normally.

Pool didn't even notice it according to history but the run time status shows it

Are you sure it rebooted and did not just restart cgminer? My runtime in the GUI shows 14h+ but uptime says:
Code:
root@antMiner:~# uptime
 13:37:05 up 3 days, 20:49,  load average: 1.62, 1.22, 1.22

Yup looks like a Cgminer restart and not a reboot for me

 13:43:22 up 3 days, 13:48,  load average: 0.94, 1.00, 1.04

WTF - Bitmain at it again...

953 more L3+ Miners available on Hashnest

3000.0 USD(99.43652635Ł) Each.

Wow such greed from Bitmain, glad i sold my miners at around .25LTC/Mhash a few days ago since it crashed down to .2LTC/Mhash instantly after these became available.
I expected new miners to come in stock at Hashnest but not at this price  Cheesy

100 LTC / 504 is ~0.2 LTC per MHS, market is matching the shop price, no surprise here. Bitmain could sell those for $4000 and I'm guessing people would still buy it. Not sure if I'd call it greed, at least there is plenty of greed on both sides - Bitmain making a quick buck on the hot demand, and buyers hoping to make money too, especially ones not paying attention to the difficulty.

Hi,

I looking to buy on Hashnest an L3+ fro $3000, but I have many doubts because on bitmain forum I have read this post:

"Anyone from Bitmain Officials should give us a clear and true explanation of this drop.
My reward are cutted by 50% in 5 days? Both by block and by day. Are you kidding??
As if that was not enough, they publish new L3 in the shop @ 3000 USD?Huh? first time was 1800!! Are you crazy???
Please explain and don't joke with us, We deserve a minimum of respect from you."

Anyone that have buy this product on Hashnest are experiencing this kind of problem ?

This investment have a time period of duration ?

Can I ask after 5-6 months to send me the L3+ to my address ?

Thanks

Please google about network difficulty and how it affects mining profitability. Basically the amount of coins mined stays roughly constant, so more miners means fewer coins per miner, i.e. declining profitability.

You might be able to get the L3+ shipped to you, but only after it becomes unprofitable on Hashnest. Read the contract here:

Say hello to the big difficulty increase coming:

Well if you assume that the difficulty jumps an average of 10% each change it can over the next 130 days and the price of LTC stays about $30.00 USD...

In roughly 130 days the L3+ will make roughly $00.25 to $00.30 cents a day

Say hello to the big difficulty increase coming:

they are mining with their own gear and rendering them useless in 3 months when they begin to ship, very foolish for buyers to buy this product, i can't see the point if they first mine and make the difficulty higher and then sell them, i would not buy this fo for sure

Pretty annoying. I was expecting after apr/may orders to have difficulty spike and get comfortable with difficulty plateauing out for 2.5 months before the July/Aug batches started to come online. The 30-60 day ROI theory goes out the window if Bitmain is mining with the prepaid inventory from now until they need to be shipped.

If you have to ask you aren't ready to buy.   I don't mean that in a negative way, but the question shows you don't understand how mining works.

In general as hash rate increases a constant amount of hashing get less of the rewards.    There are many factors but global hashrate is the main one.

Bitcoin FTW!
One day they will get so greedy that they will lose their entire customer base.  Just need a competitor to step in and create some competition.  The L3+ is a solid miner, but man are they tainting their brand with this greed.

Hope Canaan can come up with a good miner or offering with the recent round of funding that they received.
They seem to have no interest in the area and Innosilicon are pretty much out of the game. Realistically we're only dependent on Innosilicon for competition and even they don't put up any good miners to pit against the L3+. Just like with Bitcoin, Bitmain is slowly taking over. Sad but true.

Looks like all the 1000 miners on sale for $3k each are already deployed on network look at the network hash rate spike it already did by 500Gh/s so they take your money upfront make you wait 3 days before activating for you while they mine 1.3x1000= 1300 LTC = $39000 extra. man its really smart.

Pls read what is written:

"Miners will be shipped & deployed within 72 hours of payment. The hashrate will take 72 hours to be credited to your account."

So it does not surprise me. I'm sure L3+ will be sold very soon.

I spoke with a source in china they are shipping 30000 units almost 15 Th/s worth by July.

OUCH! I assume this includes the 3 batches IN July in this 15 th figure? or not sure?

Well...time to pay down the equip debt I guess. Stuff to do Sad
