Ugh, one of my APW5 PSU's gets burning hot to the touch within a few minutes of plugging it in.  I don't feel comfortable running a PSU like that, so one of my L3+'s is just sitting there, it is really hard to look at.  Unless I can get it running with a Lepa 1600 watt, will have to count how many 6 pin connectors it has.

Otherwise, first person to offer $3k for it gets it.

buy an apw3 from ebay

EDIT: you probably don't have 208/220v huh?

Nope, that is what I was originally going to do, but can't plug it in in the states.

I bought the Hashnest hosted miner.  It's almost my 72 hour mark and it still hasn't gone online yet.  Has anyone who has done the Hashnest miner got theirs online yet?

Mine is at the status "shipping" ...not exactly sure what they are shipping.

[edit] nvm they just activated literally at 72 hours on the second.

Is there anyone else making miners with this much hashpower?

Clueless!
Hi guys,
Nice to meet you all, I use to mine ltc back in early 2014 and decided to restart back up again, I have ordered an l3+ for the July batch, but after reading this thread I'm very nervous... Is it a good move? Will I actually recover my costs and make some money, what's everyone's opinion, I am from the UK and will have to pay 20% vat!

I got 4 on may 15th batch...I also got one coming (yesterday) from the July batch ass end ...will get in in August (lol)

I figure 'worse case' it will take a bit less then a year at worse to ROI....IF bitmain kicks them out like toasters.....so what the heck got the extra

in case LTC goes completely nuts and the price pumps yet more

I figure if it all goes 'pear shaped' one more L3+ even a unit I won't get till August..won't matter much under that dire scenario

but

if they stop tossing units out like toasters...and/or the price pumps...it will be an OK move

(mainly I just figure ..it will stop me from 'asic impulse' purchasing ..that far out in August...a stop block as they say.....I am weak willed) Smiley

Chump or Champ we will see on these

So I put "50" in the box for customize fan speed, and the unit won't start up.  If I remove it, it starts back up no problem.  I just want to quiet the thing down a bit, any ideas?

I'm pretty sure this will not be solved and the only way is to sell the machine to me.

please PM me.

$3300+shipping and I can ship it out Monday.

Is the L3+ fan as noisy as the s9 or T9? Would it be suitable for home mining?

The fan isn't that loud, its some kind of tunnel noise that the airflow makes going through the machine, not totally sure how to get it quieter though.

Has anyone else been able to reduce the fan noise anyway?

If you have bought an L3+ on hashnest, what is the point of selling the MHs on that market thing?

Well

I got an s7 a while back.

I sold 4000 gh. On after market for what I paid for it.

So basically I got 750 gh for free.

Since the s7 I bought was 4750gh.

So if you have 504 mh and list 454 mh high enough to pay for the 504

You would have a profit of 50 mh

You can list the sale and if no one buys it for a while all the mh will be mining for you

Good point thankyou

Anyone know if there is a reputable business/site like hashnest for gpu (eth/zec) mining?

Of course I had to take one apart and see how it works Cheesy

Hashboards simply slide in on rails inside aluminum enclosure and are just secured by the top fan mount

Top of hash board with individual heatsinks glued on each of the 72 chips. Inductor and input/output caps are on the top

Back of hashboard...so this is obviously a serial design, there are 12 banks of 6 chips. Each bank is connected in series with eachother, so core voltage is around input voltage/12 (probably around 1v). What interesting is that there is what seems to be a controllable voltage regulator on the input (since each board pulls 16 amps you can easily regulate the input voltage for the whole series design with just a single regulator). Their past designs just straight up divided the input voltage from the supply (which is why you could easily fry those boards with PSUs that output higher than 12v).

And a shot of their custom manufactured beaglebone and breakout board for it.

Should be able to get some interesting overclocks/undervolts once I get in the beaglebone and figure out how to access the voltage controller (hopefully its not fixed).

I know im just ogling but it looks pristine and very promising Smiley keep that thing properly kept and good luck mining.

Lock in your revenue incase LTC/BTC drops you can get paid. and lock it in for 1 month or higher.

Not sure I understand what you mean, could you elaborate?

So right now 1 mh/s is selling for 0.29 LTC on hashnest marketplace so technically you can sell your 220Mh/s out of 504 Mh/s to cover your initial 70-75 LTC cost of miner and get 300Mh/s for free. Its win win.

Seriously. all 3 of mine are averaging 530 poolside and my A4 averages around 230 to 240 on a good day.

Def a solid miner.

Even though I hate these guys and how they act, they sure know how to make solid miners. Just set up one and initial impressions are pretty good. They are dead on for the specs.

Each hashboard is currently pulling 16.4 ams @ 11.5v and is doing between 500-530 MH currently. Chips are running in the 60c range which is surprising with the insane chip density these boards have. The fans are also PMW controlled which is a nice upgrade since the S5 I had. Fans are actually surprisingly quiet, most of the noise is from a "wind tunnel howl" that is occurring inside the unit.

You can check out poolside hashrate here: http://www.arisechickun.com/workers

Ill put some pics up later. Here is the status shot of the miner currently:

Yup I can confirm the wind tunnel howl, doesn't sound near as bad as say an S7.

Showing 504 on miner and 498 poolside.

I wish Innosilicon had this kind of performance lol.
