@ suchmoon  a few members gave me some $200 coupons  bitmain  has  yet to do so.

O ordered a 4th unit today.

@searing   the solar array  will do 20kwatt of power 24/7/365 for the next 6 months.

we don't have that much used at the moment.

I also may mine the L3+s with  yun9999

my 12c kWh self here...hates you...(that in that where you live is friggin WARM..unlike Minnesota!)

Snowing like mad as I type  late snowstorm for us  but we have had them as late as april

I got a hold of a 450 coupon paid 100 for it

so I ordered a fifth L3+

will get a sixth  and be power capped

do these use 900 watts at the wall?

I pull 900-920 but OC them to 580mh.

They probably could do more, but I don't want the chip temperature to go above 65°C.  But they run stable for almost 3 months on OC now. The first couple month were stock

Does the March batch of L3+ have a sound beeper? I remember the S7LN had one which was very annoying when e.g. there was no network connection.

None of my L3+s beep starting from B1 last May.

With the APW3++ at 230V  mine is drawing 830W at the wall

So I place and order today  use my last $200 coupon and  the  website  says it can not generate a bch address.

So I am out the coupon and no order.
So I will post back to see if others lost coupons

@ bitmain  give me my coupon back

File a support ticket if you lost the coupon. I had a similar issue, took them a day or two to respond but I got it back.

you are brave...I would not have gotten any...hope you get this resolved thou...

below is my L3+ I'm making on a ROI'd unit...(yet again I sit on my hands..due to dubious ASIC miners of any flavor..not, at this time, being worth getting.again..IMHO)

$5.25 a day at 500mh and 800w and 12c kWh.....just can't see paying crypto (LTC) for equipment at this time...

24 hours   0.04400789 LTC   7.55 USD   2.30 USD   5.25 USD
7 days   0.30805523 LTC   52.86 USD   16.13 USD   36.73 USD
30 days   1.32023672 LTC   226.55 USD   69.12 USD   157.43 USD

But then again, you have the solar rig operation and probably a lot less electric prices per kWh...

just saying, this turkey don't fly in my neck of the woods...

You can do that with some precautions. Don't connect two different power supplies to the same hashing board. And when you turn the PSUs on - make sure the one that's connected to the controller is turned on last.

thanks!
are there 2 connectors per board? so i either do controller+2 or controller+4 and not +3 ?

We certainly usually do not defend bitmain here, they may be just as money grubbing as we tend to be,
but I actually don't notice anything to grumble about.

it's been 14 days (10 working days) and bitmain hasnt shipped my power supply i ordered at the
same time as an L3+ (power supply "shipping within 7 working days after full payment".)

yet they have shipped my L3+ yesterday (march batch, yayyyy)

so, will it cause any damage to the L3+ to only power up the controller and 3 other connectors
(4 out of 9 connectors) using a lower power supply i already have?

how about using two different supplies to power up more connectors?

Is it just me or is prohashing kinda low atm

I had some payout problems and switched to litecoinpool.org and got what I was promised, but when I switched back to prohashing, it was almost half of the profitability

Now I am mining for some time, but maybe I fucked up somewhere?  Why would it be so low compared to a single coin pool?
Same here. Not sure what's going on there. This usually means they've taken on too many new miners.

A little confused as to why this miner difficulty got worse?  One would think that more people mining, it would become easier.  .. or better yet, a 'fixed' mining difficulty rate.

If the price keeps declining, the difficulty will adjust, boosting profitability. If the price rebounds and begins to rise, the difficulty will continue to rise and catch up, but profitability should still rise.

The only ones losing out on this are the ones selling their machines and/or selling their coins. The winners are the ones that hodl.

Lol you wish buddy. Thats not how it works...Currently nearly 100% of the miners on the network are all L3+/A4/L21, which still have a very large margin of profit before power. The difficulty will only continue to go up especially this month with all the L3s being shipped (10s of thousands), regardless of what the price does (unless there is a massive dump, but even still people wont start turning off this generation of miners until $50 LTC or so).

What did I say that contradicts what you just said? Nothing. What I said is exactly how it works. I didn't say how long it would take for anything to happen, you just assumed I meant sometime soon.

One small problem is for this month anyway..is the giant bitmain dump of L3+'s like what is it 5 batches from Dec to March backlog...that is gonna throw a big wrench in

the works...if the price drops to say the $150 LTC range..

on a side note....with ASIC boost being open source now ..is that a tweak that can adopted eventually to be used on scrypt-pow miners or still only sha-256 yet?
