Batch online now $2378, delivery 10 business days. I'll pass, mine is mining $15 a day Sad

This pretty much what an L3+ brings in these days? That dropped off. It should do better once the LTC price comes back up though right?

Well yes and no.

By the time LTC goes back up (if at all) many new miners will be shipped and they will most likely exceed the number of miners broken by that time. So its kinda a wash

True. I have unfortunately not found any usage hours calc in the Antminer.

If somebody has more info how to find it out, please share that info here.

I also agree you Albortz on your later part of the post.

I assume there is no such thing as an operation time counter that you are looking for, for a few different reasons.

First of all, if this counter was on the controller, every only mildly talented Linux user could reset it. Otherwise if Bitmain would indeed have included something like that, they'd certainly show it in the Admin GUI.

Assumed Bitmain does some sort of "Burn-in" (quotes are intended) on our miners before they ship them they probably have some interest that you can not in any way determine reliably the previous operation hours of your miner.

Since you can return only single blades and supposedly Bitmain can see if they have been overclocked anytime, I guess that overclocking just sets a bit somewhere on the controller chip on the blade that they can read out, but again not in the controller itself. And I think also that Bitmain has no incentive to know the operation time of a blade, just if it has been overclocked, allowing them to back out from warranty (simply because they can assume it ran 24*7 from the day it was delivered to the customer anyway).

Is there any way to tell how long a miner has been used? I'm about to buy 2 L3+'s off of a guy locally and he said that he has mined with them for a month but I really wanted to check and see if there is a way for me to tell.

If you ask for the miner serial number, you can check the order date here https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?m=technicalSupport

See "Warranty Check".

This does however only show you how old the miner is and how long the warranty will last. It does not show if the miner was OC in which case the warranty would be void even if you still fall under the 6-month time frame.

Just to keep in mind. You might also want to check the internal dashboard to see if all chips are working or if some dashboard have already failed

Clueless!
1:24pm us eastern time L3+ still on sale
for 2378$ how about those already paid march batch? How unfair is this bitmain ?
L3+ is gonna be like D3 is soon
Already there....

sheesh....I remember when they were going for ..I think it was $1650?

nope...running mine into the ground..not looking to get any more at this point

the swap'ing crypto for equip died IMHO, sometime last July 2016...with the price of crypto shooting up...

just can't do it anymore..them days may be past (however, selling crap on a rummage sale and then using FIAT to gamble on mining equip may still be a hedge)

but straight mining crypto for equip ..yech...

If anybody is interested in buying an L3+ Jan batch for 0.3 BTC + shipping send me a PM. I prefer selling to another forum member than going through ebay.
Some tips...

I recommend you do a proper sales thread in the marketplace computer hardware section.

Photos of the hardware with a piece of paper and your name on it.

And be ready to accept payment through a escrow service.
how the escrow service is happening here Huh I am selling antminer A3

After the seller and buyer have a confirmed deal,

1.  Buyer sends the btc payment to escrow agent  (OgNasty or philipma1957 for example).
2. Buyer sends a personal message as instructed by the escrow agent  (OgNasty has his escrow service thread for instructions).
Make sure that you have two recipients for this message, both escrow agent and seller.
3. Escrow confirms that he has successfully received funds and he says that he will release after buyer has confirmed that he has received the goods in a good condition.
4. Seller sends the goods to the buyer.
5. Buyer receives the goods and confirms that they are in promised condition.
6. When escrow agent has received confirmation from the buyer, he will release the funds to the seller.
7. Trade complete.  Smiley

Actually delivery time wise, the promise was march delivery and it is not march yet. So, it isnt wrong. I have L3+ coming for march delivery too. It would be nice if they sent it to us early but it is their choice yes, not a guarantee.

I would bet that Bitmains revenue between selling the miners and mining with them too is an unimaginably high number.

Especially with BTC dump. Time to gain that money and make new miners. Smiley

Super annoying that they are releasing higher priced batches, multiple times while other people have already ordered and are waiting on march batches.  At a minimum they should give the march batch people the option of paying the difference to get 10 day delivery, although the right thing to do would be just ship them out to the march people early instead of offering a premium priced batch...

You right, it is pretty unbelievable how they managed to sell 2 batch 4 months in advance, and they are now just selling batch after batch with 10days delivering ! I mean, they couldn't do much worth than that. March people are just completely fucked.
