They are in stock NOW BUT they are only accepting USD wire, no LITECOIN or BITCOIN...

They weren't fools for buying the miners though, they were fools for selling their machines for a fraction of the price a few months after they bought them. Like I said, just look at the S9 as an example of how long these machines remain profitable

The 14/16 nm generation is the FIRST that is the case for though - aided and abeted by the massive jump in Bitcoin pricing during most of it's existance.

It probably WILL be the case for any future miner generations though, since miners have caught up to semiconductor state-of-the-art for the most part.

Like you said, it just means more miners for us to pick up at a fraction of the price. Cheesy

[/quote] Yesterday you were very adamant that this would not be the case. You got very angry when I made this assertion. I guess things look a little different today.

People wrongly assume that more miners means higher diff, and ASSUME it means higher price for the thing being mined.  Some of us have been trying to point out that it doesn't work that way, but you might as well be talking to a wall.  So no point in bringing it up anymore.  Let the MARKET school all these NOOB's that have come out of the woodwork like flies chasing the "gold rush".  Greed blinds people and they don't do their homework.
Yes correct. Thank you. Today would be a nice example. LTC Diff = 725k LTC price $46.50 down very recently from $80.00. Oops. I'm awfully glad I didn't pay $2280.00 for any L3+. But like you said. People don't want to hear it. There is only one thing people hate more than Poetry.....they hate the Truth much more.

You can compare anything to anything. I also didn't say anything was "better than in the traditional investing world". I said that compared to the traditional investing world, the profits are much much higher, and compared to the traditional investing world, the risk is much much higher. There is nothing false about that statement. Just because we can't quantify the risk of investing in crypto, doesn't mean we can't observe it (as we all obviously do and can agree). Also, if you think these will be selling for $800-$900 USD 4-5 months from now, you're the one that obviously doesn't understand this game at all and obviously hasn't been around for too long.

Wait how "long" have you been around? Obviously not long enough to remember 2014-2015. Thats when 5k-10k scrypt machines ended up being resold for a fraction of that price a few months later. Those were fun times...picking up 250MH ASICs for 300 bucks back when diff was 40k Cheesy

Like I said, just look at the S9 as an example of how long these machines remain profitable and how much they sell for even years after they're first released.

Being in UK I work in GBP rather than USD

I have had my miners running properly now for 2 weeks continuous all of them are linked to nicehash, prior to yesterday the average earning was £1 per hour per miner over a 24 hour period ... therefore giving me a return of £24 per miner per day ...

However since yesterday each miner has averaged £0.65 per hour giving a daily return of £15.33 per day ... thats a drop of 35%!!!!! WTF!! ... I am aware that the price of Bitcoin has dropped (choice of payment for nicehash) .. however if you note the amount in BTC rather than the value of the BTC .. you will still note the same pattern:

Prior to yesterday Hourly earned per miner = 0.0003171 BTC = Daily earning = 0.0076104 BTC

current hourly earned per miner = 0.0002518 BTC = Daily earning = 0.0060432 BTC

This is not looking good!!!

It seems like the L3 and D3 craze is bringing in a whole influx of new miners that just don't understand how difficulty will change profits.  With so many miners being released each batch this will continue to happen.  Think of it this way.  If 4 people are doing a job and get paid $100 to do that job each person gets $25.  Well now some other guy heard about this and they want to get in on it.  So now you have 5 people working on the same job for the same $100.  So now everybody is only getting $20 for that job.  As more and more people start jumping in on the job your share becomes less and less.  With Bitmain releasing 20,000 units of D3 and L3 each batch that's 20,000 extra miners all sharing the same piece of the pie unless of course X11 or Scrypt coins go up in value.  Good luck everybody!

Looks like there were a few L3+ that didn't complete the checkout process. As of 10:45PM PST, they are available again.

Gone in 3 minutes

maybe I'm just old and have already too much equipment and am jaded as heck

but really...this batch size and this batch delivery and what 4 batches before yet in the wind to be delivered yet?

I really, really can't see how even with a modest price pump back to 75 bucks for LTC a way for these to ROI after electric in less than
14 months maybe

anyway, again old fart for crypto (2013) maybe I'm just missing something or everyone 'just knows' the price of scrypt pow coins are gonna moon

but damn $2,280 bucks for a miner.... I suppose all will be fine if it was say LTC at 100 bucks..but why take the risk on the pump with equip?

just get coins? Unless everyone is like me and really, really needs the equip deduction to spin this top up again and mine next year

this old fart is not getting it at all (and don't even get me started on the D3 dash miner that is 4x riskier imho for ROI)

(ambles off..confused...mumbling to self.......kicking can.......mutter wtf..younger asic generation...in my day ......)

2280 is a great deal for a scrypt miner , fuck u talking about lol , best ROI least amount of manufacturers why do u think they are on ebay for 5k
You're an idiot.

LOL. Its already overprice before and now the btc price sink to the hell, today price become too overpriced, i am glad that i couldnt get any today
LTC just traded $47.50. BUT....The difficulty is still 745K!! How does this guy think THAT will play on his "ROI"Huh LOL.

Something else:

Did anyone of you test the new firmware already?   I am testing it right now and it looks like my temp is slightly less when I overclocked the miner.

But maybe someone here already installed it longer than 24 hours lol
