How do we get the coins if we're mining without a wallet?

If you are mining to a pool, you'd need to withdraw to a wallet like the LBRY app (see the wallet > Send/Receive tab) or Coinomi for Android, or to an exchange.

The Boom Bust Booьm

The financial cycles, bubbles, and economies of scale: they’re the mythical stories of our time. Massive movements of people and capital, rising and falling, can be charted through analysis of the technicals and fundamentals of a given economy, and the lives of people flowing between them.

And depending on who you ask, the story isn’t always the same.

On the heel’s of the television debut of LBRY, Boom Bust joins Redacted Tonight as the second RT America show to land on LBRY for your post-broadcast pleasure.

1.22 $ and going up, the next 10 days promise a lot ...  Roll Eyes

Almost it took many days to increase it's value because with potential it has and growth on the products. Really in coming days lbry has great potential in the coin and we can expect some good growth in the coin.

I am watching from the beginning to the exit of the exchange project and  first half of the year will tell you the price of the coin is very disappointed, it is very much subsided. Then spring was able to win back losses by buying at a lower price. And now, it seems to me a very tasty price to buy. What are you say

Latest version is much more stable. Great job, but would be nice to have an ability to encrypt wallet.dat with legacy wallet method.

Can you elaborate more on the community site that will be released on the 22th?

There will be rewards and stuff ya, 8k LBC.

But what else will be on the site, will content be put on there thats on the lbc blockchain? Will it be like spee.ch?

The lbry.community site is a separate entity run by community member Rouse. They are running a few contests to promote their site relaunch and to attract more attention to the LBRY project. Part of the contest involves uploading the content on spee.ch / LBRY.

Spee.ch is really just a website that uses an api to post content to the lbry blockchain right?

Alternatively people could upload and publish content through the application itself?

Good news about the community site, im excited to see it and hopefully it will bring more people into LBRY.

A member of the LBRY Discord community started a mining pool recently - https://lbrypool.com

Last 12 days of mining have brought higher than normal luck, so the payouts have been on the higher end.

It's also good to spread the hash out on multiple pools - so that everyone gets a say with their hashing power.

Join the chat: https://chat.lbry.io #mining channel

GPU Miner Source/Binaries:
Nvidia only - CCminer -- https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases
AMD only - SGminer 5.4 -- https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer/releases/tag/5.4.0

command line:

Example command line configuration for Nvidia:  ccminer -a lbry -o stratum+tcp://lbrypool.com:3334 -u [-p ]
Example command line configuration for AMD:    sgminer -k lbry -o stratum+tcp://lbrypool.com:3334 -u [-p ] -g 4 -w 256

you can use p to identify your rigs.

Then you can monitor your rigs right at https://lbrypool.com/?address=bYiTXosMzYRaewk56zJJHCQJoPX3CKYmbi

(not my address - just picked a random one from a payout)

Download LBRY wallet/app from https://lbry.io/get?auto=1
Find receiving address in the send/receive tab of the wallet

Note: Wallet Encryption coming soon, so for now, you have to be very careful with wallet security as its default state is unencrypted - unless of course you just encrypt a backup for yourself and delete the original.

LBC is also supported on the Coinoni Android app (iOS coming soon I hear)

A paper wallet is coming soon - will provide another storage mechanism.

I see LBRY 100$ at the end of the 2018.
Good work dev!

months ago all said the project is trash and now is good when price went up Smiley)

Just typical market cycles in crypto, LBC is no different

look at the chart, bullish wave formed last spring when price went to 30k, then it bottomed out again around 1500-2000sats

Now we are the rise again, besides some occasional dumps when the price of bitcoin goes up.

Wouldn't surprise me if we see 10-15ksats soon..followed by all time highs in USD

Remember LBC has a mkt cap of a little over 100mil.....JUST 100mil...seems like projects with nothing get billions put into it everyday now

(Protocols Not Platforms - Part 1 of 2)

Whether it’s purposefully crippling mobile experiences, hard selling upgrades and add-ons, or shuttling users to pre-selected partner companies, every major tech company seems to proactively damage user experience.

In a competitive market, this sort of customer abuse shouldn’t happen. But before we get to the why, let's define the problem.

And it's not just the cable and phone companies that immediately spring to mind as monopolistic monsters engaging in this behavior - internet favorites like Reddit, Facebook, and YouTube are all guilty.

Last week, we asked our users to send over some examples of tech companies treating their customers badly, and the response was overwhelming. Take a look at these examples from some of the most popular services and companies in use today. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of companies being actively hostile to users, as the whole list could probably fill its own book.
