I tried iancoleman and  did not see address in first 200 rows ,external or internal... do i have any other options?

The simpliest way to check whether your address belongs to your ledger has already been posted twice..

  • In the Ledger Chrome App... click on "Settings -> Tools -> Sign Message"

See if the address that has your BTC is displayed. If it isn't, click on the address... it'll open a search box. Start typing the first three or four characters of the BTC address and see if the whole address is shown in the list. If it is, then the address is definitely part of your Ledger Wallet and you have the correct seed.
  • If you are using the chrome application, go to the settings and choose 'Sign message'. Then start entering this address in the drop down menu. It should appear there.
If it appears, the private key associated to this address is part of your ledger. If not, unfortunately it is not.

Please do this first to verify this address has REALLY been generated by your nano s.

I can access bitcoin ledger wallet via chrome app,but there is different bitcoin address with 0 balance, when i restore 24 words i create new wallet because i didnt have insataled app from before
In the Ledger Chrome App... click on "Settings -> Tools -> Sign Message"

Start typing the first three or four characters of the BTC address and see if the whole address is shown in the list. If it is, then the address is definitely part of your Ledger Wallet and you have the correct seed.

However, if the address is NOT displayed when you type the first three or four characters, then you likely have the wrong seed written down Sad

There are several possible reasons why you have this problem :

- Your seed is not correct, it is not associated with the BTC address where your coins are located.
- You are looking at the wrong chain, when you open Bitcoin Wallet ( Chrome App ) there is option to select "Bitcoin", "BitcoinCash" - Legacy or SegWit Chain.
- You use receiving address from "Sign Message", and Ledger can not check that address so you see 0 balance.

It would be best that you take advice from bob123 and check is that address generated from seed you use, and you can still do that by read post number 5. Otherwise you can play with iancoleman tool, but if address with your coins is not part of seed you use, nobody will find it.

I get this message from one member ,is this legit?

1) Go to https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
2) In the box where it says BIP39 Mnemonic, put your 24 word seed phrase
3) In the box where it says BIP39 Passphrase, put your password for your wallet ( notice i said password and not pin if you did not enabled password protection for your ledger, then leave it blank)
4) Scroll down to the last page and you should see a list of 20 addresses, your address should either be the first or the second one shown
5) Copy the private key which should be beside the address
6)Download Electrum from https://electrum.org/#home
7) create a new wallet> standard wallet> import bitcoin address or Private keys
Cool Paste the private key you copied from 5
9) Click next and your coins should show up.

Its safe, just use the website offline and its also good since you're just looking for a single address. Saves the stress of using your seed and possibly compromising it.

Well, instead of entering your seed into a website (download it onto an offline pc first!!) and just importing 1 or 2 private keys, you might as well import the seed directly into electrum.
You can check the BIP39 Seed option and enter the derivation path (Ledger legacy: m/44/0/0, segwit: m/49/0/0)

You should be able to see your whole balance inside electrum.

But note, that once you have entered your seed anywhere else (e.g. electrum or website), it should be considered as compromised.
It is advised to create a new seed with your ledger afterwards if you want to use this hardware device to store your coins.

wallet is ledger nano s
i tried with ledger manager and ledger live, also coinomi,i bought from orginal seller, bitcoin is already there 15 months, before new firmware i login on wallet and i see balance using ledger bitcoin wallet app for chrome

Few days ago a ledger user had the same problem because he used an address that appeared when he signed a message. It was like the 150th of that path. He found it using iancoleman.io/bip39 tool

i dont know how to do this

everything is ok on  block explorer and reset from 24 word and still dont have balance, probably i looking at wrong address

Did you use ledger live (https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live) to access your wallet?

?

If you are using the chrome application, go to the settings and choose 'Sign message'. Then start entering this address in the drop down menu. It should appear there.
If it appears, the private key associated to this address is part of your ledger. If not, unfortunately it is not.

I currently don't know how to get to the 'Sign message' menu inside the ledger live application. I am not even sure if it does exist there yet. So you might try this out with the chrome application.

You can also try to open your ledger via electrum and enter ismine("Your_Address") in the console (View -> Show Console -> Console tab) to check whether this address belongs to your nano s.

I will try this, but when i try connect o bicoin wallet app ,app is not working .. thanks

i send bitcoins before bitcoincash fork...

If you want help with your issue, you might start answering the questions you get asked  Huh
Coming back, ignoring 10 questions and simply posting such a non-related comment won't help you to get your coins back.

If this not help you and you have your 24 seed words ( I hope you have it ), just enter wrong pin 3 times and device will reset. After that you will need to enter your 24 words and hopefully see your balance. But be sure you have correct seed before you do this procedure.

This should help you if you just reset you Ledger Device. Make you input the correct 24 words as the private keys a derived from it.

Is it okay now?

I have a Ledger Nano S also, but I have not upgraded the firmware yet.

I finnaly have new firmware update but when i log in bitcoin balance is 0,on blockchain.info is only one transaction to wallet and funds are still on this address where i send,i also try with coinomi but balance is still 0

As I remember from past Ledger firmware updates in some cases you will need to remove all coin apps from your Ledger device and also uninstall Ledger Bitcoin Wallet and Ledger Manager from Chrome. Then install that apps to Chrome again and add coin apps to you Ledger Nano S.

If this not help you and you have your 24 seed words ( I hope you have it ), just enter wrong pin 3 times and device will reset. After that you will need to enter your 24 words and hopefully see your balance. But be sure you have correct seed before you do this procedure.

There is also option that you checking wrong chain (Legacy/Segwit) or that you maybe send BTC to BitcoinCash address.

Did you use ledger live (https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live) to access your wallet?

Since you have said your funds are still sitting on the same address, i assume you have checked it on a block explorer ?

If you are using the chrome application, go to the settings and choose 'Sign message'. Then start entering this address in the drop down menu. It should appear there.

Derivation path just means whether you are using 'legacy' or segwit addresses.
The standard path is m/44'/0'/0' which results in addresses starting with '1' ('legacy')
There is m/49'/0'/0' which is for nested segwit. This results in addresses starting with '3.'
There also is m/84'/0'/0' which is for native segwit. This results in addresses starting with 'bc1.'

We need more information

What wallet are you using?
Have you tried with Chrome extension and with ledger live? Electrum is a good option too.

Did you bought ledger nano from the original retailer?

Was it legacy or segwit? Are you using he right derivation path?

It may be a problem related to derivation path.

Did anything unusual happened when you generated this address? Did you get this address when signing a message with ledger of did you click receive?

Few days ago a ledger user had the same problem because he used an address that appeared when he signed a message. It was like the 150th of that path. He found it using iancoleman.io/bip39 tool

yes from orginal, legacy and before bitcoincash fork ,i send btc before 1 year and some months after was still there when i log in ,but then i have problems with firmware ,funds are on same address where i send ,i dont know about derivation path
