I appreciate the responses.  I'll watch it over the next couple days.  I see it does swing quite a bit and if it stays a problem, I'll switch pools from eligius.

Keep up the good work and communication pcfli!!  After running the numbers and the offered insurance, it's hard not to rationalize buying another.

yeah I am tempted to get a second one .

to follow up I have seen bitminter under report  red fury usb sticks by 10-15 %.

it was so bad the pool's owner said in a post red furies usb sticks under report on my pool and I do not know why. I am not sure it was ever fixed.

it is near here I will look for it.

so the pool that reports a dragon at 950 or 960 gh should be swapped to a different pool yo may get better numbers.

Dragon1         12 Hours   946.80 Gh/s   9523200   3 Hours   962.68 Gh/s   2420736   22.5 Minutes   964.31 Gh/s   303104

So that's my current rates after about 18hrs.  Doesn't this seem a little low?

well I am getting more like 995-1025 at btcguild  may be your pool choice is the issue.  ask him to switch it to btcguild.

I have seen pool issues with antminer s-1's

 yesterday's at btcguild

i need to explain here, because lketc not a big company like intel and the A1 chip itself have some problem, some chip may randomly show 1-5% HD value, and also some internet and pools problem, i can only promise the hash rate shown in pools will not below 950G.

Okay first one purchased and I have it mining at btcguild

I will post once a day this is the Easter sunday screen shot  and it is over 1028 gh.

 Do the math this is a good deal with upside.  I  paid with a paypal cc .  2750 + 110 (op's paypal  fee ) = 2860

2 % discount on my cc = 2803 up front hash in an hour or so.   after 30 days pay for 225 hosting fee. pay the hosting fee each 30 days.

so 2750 via paypal works for you?

I own the machine.

and 1 month from now I have to send 225 to host it?

I give you a mining pool and you sent it to my pool correct? just one or does it have a rollover like ant miner s-1's
if you use paypal, you need pay 4% fee paypal charged, so the price will be 2860$, yes, the miner belong to you after you pay me, you just host in my place.
yes, the host fee is 225 each miner each month, but you will get some discount on host fee when you host more miner in my place.

you need fill the confirmation form and tell me your mining setting and i will filled it into the controller of miner following the information you provide

the host fee is 225$ each miner per month, but you will get some discount when the amount of host miner reached the multiple of 5, i mean 5, 10, 15,20,25, and if the miner you host reach 200$, the host fee will decrease to 200$.

That was fast,  good job. Is the hosting fee for the 4 month period or per month? It looks like you are paying $1000 to host an energy effecient machine by their math.

I read it 3 times  I think that it may be for all 4 months.  frankly that would be insanely cheap. He needs to clarify it.

Look at the 4x 225 = 900 for the 4 months which means   well  they make out on the hosting,

but in my house  this machine would cost 24 k watt per day or about 4.32 a day at summer rates.  that is 129.60 usd a month.

 and here in NJ for the next 4 months I will need more ac . So 4 x 130 = 520  vs 4 x 225 = 900 I am down 380 and I need to cool at least 50 extra over 4 months = 200  so 380 -200 = 180

So I lose 180 by letting him host it for the 4 months.   I save that on shipping it is big and heavy and no time lost hashing due to ship time.

I can also sell off 2 or 3 s-1's (I have 5 left) this will lower my cooling bill . Also help pay off the dragon.

BTW it is now hashing at close to  993-1005gh     ..   So for me it works.  but my summer power bill is 18 cents a k watt.

I need to keep watts low for the summer due to price in power and money for cooling

what is also good is it works for the seller.

So frankly I think he has to mean 225 a month.  or 900 for the four months   .

at 10 cents a k watt it would be 2.40 a day or 72 dollars a month or 288 for four months.

to the  Op hosting is 225 usd a month correct?

I am online at 934th.  this is a good deal.  as long as he follows his promises it is pretty good deal.

i paid 2860 via paypal I paid for his paypal fees of 110 usd.  I used my paypal cc and got 2% back so I paid just over 2806 usd for this.

since it is a cc.  I get 60 days protection if he turns bad.  I get close to instant hash.  he gets protection to a degree if I do a charge back since he physically has the machine in hand. his price is good.   thanks and I will post a screen shot a day on how the miner does.

okay finally got my paypal payments fixed.

I sent 3 payments

1) 50 from [email protected]
2) 110 from [email protected]

3)2700 from [email protected]

grand total of 2860   which is an extra 110 due to pay pals fees to you.

So feel free to direct  1th dragon miner to my  btcguild acct.

I posted a link to this on a Facebook bit coin club may drive some business to you. I will post a  screen shot once a day to show the status to this dragon miner.

Should encourage some buyers.

you have a good plan here.  A lot of upside for this.  thanks  philipma1957

so since i only sent 50 usd.

I would think I need to send 2700   plus  a 4 percent paypal charge of 110 that means I owe you 2810 usd

is that correct.?

the 225 usd  hosting is due in 30 days and I pay it in btc.

let me know soon as you wake up and check your messages.
