I have zero artistic talent, so if you want something other than a simple color, you'll need to create the image.

If you create an image, you can modify more than just that half-coin. I did that originally only because more than a half coin's worth of color is distractingly colorful. Colorizing half a coin doesn't symbolize anything. If you create an image, make sure it's not more distracting than the normal colored half-coin.

I have set up the template, so you can choose any color you like. I've played around with a few, as you can see below.

It looks like Orange is the best and only option. Violet and Green mixed with Donator/VIP. Yellow is like ghost, Dark Blue is too dark. Grey would be my second choice even it confuses with Moderator coin.

I personally prefer (and accordingly, voted for) the dark blue, partially because I think it stands out from existing ones the most (all the others are very similar in color to existing ranks, except for yellow which is almost invisible), and partially because it's my favorite color. :3

However, the grey looks a bit like Satoshi's platinum coins, which I think might be nice as it's for users who've been around and active for a long time (the minimum of 775 activity requires at least ~55 weeks of activity, or more depending on how often the user posts -- activity thread for reference).

Why only half a coin? Why don't you make them all dark blue to really stand out?

Why do you have to question authority LOL

I think five dark blue would be pretty ugly.

~BCX~

Maybe but it would make the real people really stand out from the common rabble which is what this is really all about anyway.

Grey, because you can still see the difference, yet the color is subtle enough that it's not in your face.

I'm on my phone at the moment but the dark blue one is one of the only ones that is easily distinguishable for me. I can't even make out a few of the others.

Maybe do a multicoloured coin? But out of the options listed I would go with dark blue.

If both coins are next to each other, I think it would be easy to spot the difference...
But if they're not, different shades of green or purple/violet could look the same.

Yeah, that's why I chose yellow originally. All of the other primary colors are taken. But it seems that people don't like yellow, so I'll need to reuse some color. Normal blue is used for global moderators and very light blue is used for local moderators, so this dark blue is also a reuse, though maybe it's easier to distinguish.

Dark blue
Other colors "interfere" green with donator for ex...
Unless you are going to permit 2 colored coins for a donator/VIP etc...?

They're slightly different colors.
